Operation Climate Vote Global Warming
Global Warming Legislation
What ad should we run here?
We'll run the winner in Roll Call.
California is ablaze. Georgia is parched. New Englanders are complaining of duller fall foliage.
And, Congress still hasn't voted on global warming legislation.
While we can't blame global warming for any single weather event, the trends are clear: global warming threatens the planet with extreme weather events.
Time is running out. We need to keep pressure on Congress to pass meaningful global warming legislation before they recess for the holidays.
So we've created four newspaper ads to help get their attention and we need your help.
Vote on your favorite ad. We'll run the winner as a full-page ad in Roll Call, a widely read newspaper on Capitol Hill.
After you vote, please forward this message to all of your friends and family.
We know we often ask you to help spread the word. But, now is more important than ever.
In fact, Congress had originally scheduled to recess for the holidays this Friday! While no one expects Congress to leave town next week, it's clear that time is running out to get bills to the floor.
We need to keep the grassroots pressure on for meaningful action.
Thank you for all that you do. We'll be in touch with Operation Climate Vote updates soon.
