Our Comrade in Arms

Good morning Breakfastpoppers. Today is Thursday, April, 3, 2014. Our wise friend, Tevya, is here with me this morning. He is deeply disturbed and perplexed by news that the Obama administration is giving Russia military equipment. Please join us for breakfast this morning. We are serving bagels, lox and cream cheese. There will plenty of Bloody Marys to go around. You'll need them, because we have a serious issue to discuss.

It's a Deal..

Hello, my human family. Is it my imagination or did your president announce sanctions against Russia when it annexed Crimea? Admittedly, the sanctions were pathetic and only served to embolden Putin but, nevertheless, they were sanctions. It appears that the National Nuclear Security Administration is providing Russia with high-tech hardware known as the Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System. Exactly when did your president become Putin's comrade in arms? Is your nation taking over Crimea, too? I have to say, your President Obama has "chutzpah" and that's putting it mildly. First he whispers sweet nothings meant for Putin's ears and then he points fingers and tells Putin to behave. Whose side is he on, anyway?

A Gift for You, Comrade

It's Your Money

It is completely insane to allow this taxpayer gift to go unchallenged. The NNSA has done this sort of thing before and it appears that they are determined to continue the practice. Someone must step forward and remind President Obama that his pal Putin is no friend of the United States. In my humble opinion, if Putin could, he would march right into Brighten Beach, Brooklyn and annex it! Clearly, your President Obama thinks he can sit down over a bowl of borscht and "schmooze" Vladimir Putin. Trust me, when I say, this can only bring "tsuris" upon you. Russia's incursion into Ukraine is certainly just the beginning of an ugly attempt to put the Soviet Union back together again, just like Humpty Dumpty. Your President Obama has exhibited great "caution" is his reactions to Putin's boldness. His cautious style is rightly perceived as weakness, so Putin has a green light as far as your nation is concerned. It would not only appear that he has nothing to fear from your President Obama, but it would also appear that he has a friend in the White House.

Sleeping With the Enemy

Should the United States be supplying military equipment to Russia?

Mother Russia

Get Real!

Russia is an enemy of the United States. There are no "ifs "ands" or "buts" about it. The road ahead is going to be long and dangerous. Fear is mounting in Europe. Poland is reportedly calling up their reservists. Crimea is only the beginning. At the very least, the Obama administration should stop supplying Russia with military weapons. President Obama should be concerned about supplying our soldiers stationed on bases in the United States with weapons. If this common sense measure were taken, perhaps the hideous tragedies at Fort Hood could have been avoided or stopped in its tracks. Putin must go to sleep laughing every night, secure in the knowledge that he has nothing to fear from his "friend", President Obama.

Tevya's Song

Dear God, you made so many liberals

It's no shame to be a liberal

But it's no great honor either!
