Is America an Islamic Country?

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Monday, June 30, 2014. Our wise friend Wasp Tevya, is here with me at the breakfast table. Armed with a ton of garlic bagels and cream cheese, Tevya is here to clear his mind. Lately, he has been hearing some strange remarks about Islam and America. Please join us this morning and help Tevya calm done. An agitated wasp is a dangerous thing to behold.

Straight Talk

Thank you all for coming to the breakfast table this morning. Mohamed Elbiary is a senior fellow of President Obama's Department of Homeland Security Advisory Council. Apparently, Mr. Elibiary likes to tweet. One of his tweets claimed that America is an Islamic country. When public outrage picked up, he advised his critics to learn the difference between saying America was a Muslim country versus saying it was an Islamic country. Personallly, either statement sends my wings into a tizzy. Mr. Elibiary clarified his assertion by stating that there is nothing in the U.S. Constitution that is incompatible with Islam. Nothing about his statement is true in my mind or the mind of many others. One such person is Zuhdi Jasser, president of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy. Mr. Jasser completely rejects Elibiary's claims, describing his assertions as "pure deception." He goes on to to say that "Islamism is incompatible with liberty and is a supremacist doctrine."

Source

HIding In Plain Sight

Former Florida Republican Congressman Allen West opposes Elibiary's assessment of America's Islamic compliance. In nations where Shariah Law has been implemented, Christians, Jews and women have been subjected to discrimination. According to Allen West, statements like this mark the beginning of Islamist infiltration of our government. Allen West poses the question that is foremost in my mind, namely "how is this man allowed to hold a position in the most important domestic security government agency, our Department of Homeland Security?" Did political correctness lead to his appointment? Are we safer because of it? I think not.

Tweet, Tweet!

Apparently Mr. Elibiary just can't stop tweeting. Although he insists his remarks on Twitter are purely personal and separate from his government position, his assertions are ludicrous. His personal public statements are very telling of his real views and proof that he shouldn't be working for our government in any capacity. Judicial Watch reports that Elibiary admits tht he has a long friendship with self-described Islamist Shukri Abu Baker. Baker was convicted in 2008 of financing the terrorist organization Hamas through his U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity, the Holy Land Foundation. What is going on here? `

Source

Get Rid of the Mask

Elibiary's latest tweet said the following, "As I've said b4 inevitable that "Caliphate" returns. ." Retired U.S. Air Force Gen. Tom McInerney, who served as both assistant vice chief of staff and commander in chief of U.S. Air Forces Europe, confirmed the presence of the Muslim Brotherhood inside the U.S.

The book, "Impeachable Offenses: The Case to Remove Barack Obama from Office", by authors Aaron Klein and Brenda J. Elliott documents that Obama aided the rise to power of Islamist extremist groups in the Middle East by allowing members to serve on important national security advisory boards. Mohamed Elibiary is just one example.

It's time to wake up, America. The Obama administration will never do that because their interests and vision for America lies elsewhere.

Tevya's Song

Dear God, you made so many religions

It's no shame to be religious

But it is no great honor to impose your views on others either!

Good morning friend! I know nothing about the latest goings on nationally...don't read the news and have no television. I work on making our community a better place to live...small steps....it may not sound like much but I think it is huge. :)

Pop and Tevya,

We had better wake up and throw off the shackles of political correctness before it's too late. People like Dr. Jasser know how bad it can get and came here to practice his religion and have freedom. This is one of the very few places where this is still possible.

Good Morning billy,

I think it's huge too! My problem is with people who are not engaged in anything. See you at the Inn.

Good Morning Tom,

I have to say that this administration is doing its best to get G-d out of the way. That's what socialists and communists do, if they ever hope to gain control of the people with big , powerful government. Radical Islam is another story altogether. It's time to get real and tackle the real problems., the first one being the Obama administration. See you at the Inn.

POP: America is not an Islamic nation, Muslim nation, Christian nation, nor a Jewish nation. We are a nation that is recognized as a free to practice any religion. However, when a high ranking official starts bringing his religious beliefs into his position, that is too much. Do your job and keep religion out of it! Want to be a missionary for your religion while on the job? Then quit! You cannot have both. I am so riled up, I need to get to the Inn.......

Over my many years on this planet, I have encountered a few religeous groups in our country I considered extremely radical. But none of these groups were as radical as the Radical Islam groups.

I can't even wrap my head around why anyone would want to belong to such a group, but they sure do.

Religeous freedom has always been something America could be proud of. Now it seems this freedom might come back to bite us on the butt when people in positions of power get involved.

Dear Pino,

You should be riled up. There is a whole lot going on here that we simply do not know about. Our nation is under attack from so many different sources that it is impossible to keep track of things. See you at the Inn. Old Poolman has been there all night!

Dear Mike,

This guy should never hold the position he is in. There must be plenty more just like him which puts us all in danger. See you at the Inn. I am assuming you are still there. I'm on my way.

Your quote: "Apparently, Mr. Elibiary likes to tweet. One of his tweets claimed that America is an Islamic country. When public outrage picked up, he advised his critics to learn the difference between saying America was a Muslim country versus saying it was an Islamic country."

It may look like that from the window he is looking out of into his neighborhood, but it certainly doesn't look like a Muslim or Islamic country from my window overlooking my neighborhood. He either needs to get out more or learn how to be more politically correct.

Your quote: "Mr. Elibiary clarified his assertion by stating that there is nothing in the U.S. Constitution that is incompatible with Islam."

Any religion can look at our Constitution and if they are a true Christian or have a Christian heart, they SHOULD be able to find something compatible with their faith.

It is all those who holler about WHICH GOD is the God who is stamped on our currency who really need to get a life. Let Him be whatever God floats your boat while the currency is in your pocket and when it comes back to your pocket. But to argue about WHICH GOD is the God referred to on currency, as is being argued in many online forums this week due to 4th of July holiday, it is ridiculous.

"In God We Trust"

Over 200 years after stamping that on our currency, only now are certain religious factions calling into question "Which God" are we talking about. It never had to be argued over 200 years ago, and shouldn't be argued now.

He does not differentiate from any faith or color: Islamic, Muslim, Nazi, Soviet, Indian, White, Black, Purple or another other persuasion.

He is everyone's God as long as they accept Him as the One True God.

As for the man in the white house who thinks he may be a God, more mightier Presidents before him thought so too and it only takes until the day after they leave office for the rose colored glasses to come off and they learn they were not so much of a God after all.

I wonder if Clinton, Bush, Carter or any other former President ever looks back NOW at the decisions they made THEN and said, "Damn I wish I hadn't done that!"

Because this President is gonna be doing that for a very long time.

Dear Rachael,

First of all, this President never questions what he does. This president never apologizes. This president never takes responsibility for anything. This president is still determined to go it alone without Congress. This president is unlawful. Finally, this president knew exactly what he was doing when he placed a guy like Elibiary in Homeland Security. He does not have our best interests in mind. He came into office with that mind set and he will leave the same way and never, ever look back. See you at the Inn.

All of this seems rather silly to me. So what if he got the verb tense wrong. What he meant to tweet was, "America will be an Islamic country," and so it shall just one Obama phone call, campaign effort, appointment, law flaunt or signature at a time.

breakfastpop profile image

breakfastpop 2 years ago Author

Dear retief,

The verb means nothing to me, but those who like to have the wool pulled over their eyes might enjoy it. It is time to see what is going on without the rose colored glasses. See you at the Inn.

I suspect one thing that will change when we get a new president is that we don't have any Islamists or Islamist leaning advisors in our government. If that doesn't change then our country's fall will come even quicker.

retief2000 2 years ago

GWB had Islamists advising him and the GOP, Carl Rove, The Press, etc...all soiling their nappies because he used the appropriate phrase "Islamo-Fascists" to describe Islamists.

Good Morning retief,

If we don't wise up as a nation, we won't be a nation for very long. I suppose we will just become a cog in a global world, just the way Obama envisions America.

Hxprof 2 years ago from Clearwater, Florida

IMO, Hillary is done. Too much hanging around her neck. She'll make a run for it, but will fall short. See you at the inn.

Dear Hxprof,

My fear is that Hillary will shut up and stop making a fool of herself. That will give the clueless population time to forget what she is really all about. See you at the Inn!

Seems so confusing to hear about the different views our government takes with other countries. We do not have a good stand on what really makes us a free country any longer.

Good Morning, Teaches,

Perhaps everyone in the public and private sector should read the Constitution. It is working document, or at lest it should be. Sadly, we have a president who thinks it is an outdated piece of paper. See you at the Inn and Happy Fourth!
