President "Glitch" Proclaims... (POLL)

Just Be Patient...

Now please understand that the Obama administration has had how many years since passing Obamacare to design, test, modify, retest and rollout a workable system. January of 2009 until October 1st of 2013 is how long? Don't make me do the math because my head hurts just thinking about the intensity of the incompetence of this administration.

So we had one non-event, the government shutdown, and one supposed event, the roll out of Obamacare neither of which this nation really needs nor desires. The shutdown is more desirable than Obamacare looking at various polls. But listen my fellow Americans. President "Glitch" Obama says everything is going to be okay because he is still at the helm and as long as he is President blah, blah, blah...

He actually had the audacity of comparing his rollout with the roll out of Apple products. Good grief the man is more insane than I thought he was. If Apple had as long a product development cycle as this administration just had and the whole thing crashed like his did then Apple should shutter the doors and close. But wait! Maybe that's why a government shutdown occurred on the same day of the Dear Leader's roll out.

Months? Really? I myself expect years of glitches with Obamacare until we can get a handle on having some sane lawmakers who repeal the thing. It seems like it was a VERY bad idea to pass this crafted in secret law without anyone having the opportunity to sift through the details before enacting it. But as long as Barack Obama is President blah, blah, blah... Maybe we need to change that diaper too?

The other event that all should notice on a slow news day is that Harry Reid and the US Senate made sure that he and his cronies aren't bound like the rest of us to the rules of Obamacare. Isn't that special? So we have Harry Reid's government shutdown and I wonder why they are getting paid and still soaking up their perks and that includes "I won't compromise" Glitch Obama. He's not under his own namesake's system either with Moochelle and the bambinos.

Back to Harry.and the last proposal that the House sent over before Harry shut the government down. That amendment included a provision to level the playing field and delay the individual mandate. After all. King "Glitch" Obama himself illegally changed the law and delayed the employer mandate so why not the rest of us? See I don't think like a liberal. The next part you need to really pay attention to if you're a blame fixing liberal.

There was a provision in there that tried to bring Congress in line with the rest of us. Obama had also previously unilaterally given Congress an assist right before the summer recess. In some circles that is known as a bribe, but not in Chicago. Congress and its staff were given the special treatment by the Office of Personnel Management, via a regulation not a law, of a hefty subsidy to offset the cost of their premiums. Did you get yours? What the Republican amendment did was to try to insure Congress and its staff would be stuck like chuck with the same Obamacare plans the rest of us face. Only fair right? Wrong so read on.

Harry Reid, with his usual lack of lead from behind like a coward, led the US Senate down a bad path of keeping their special health care perks along with that up to 75% federal contribution for the cost of their premiums. I guarantee you that every last one of them will be on the :"Platinum Plan." Wouldn't you be if someone else, like the tax payers, was paying for it? This is how brain dead Harry Reid is. He made the following proclamation as this went down, "Members of Congress and congressional staffers live by the same rules as other Americans."

Now I realize that Reid isn't always the brightest bulb on the tree but making a statement like that while simultaneously voting against the House amendment that would guarantee that they are redefines how stupid the man is.

So there you have some details you won't get from the Lame Stream Media. May I suggest that the next time you go to a polling place to vote that you take the time to research which side of the fence your law makers are really on. It may just surprise you to find out that they are on "their" side of the fence and not yours at all. They are busy buttering their own bread on both sides and you can just eat your cake dry like everyone else thank you very much.

Just be patient because President "Glitch" Obama is at the helm. Please take the poll as you exit.

"Vote It," "Like" It, "Tweet" It, "Pin " It, "Share It" With Your Followers. Time to let em read it and keep reading it.

As Always,

The Frog Prince

Are the White House chefs considered "essential" federal employees during this shutdown?

Mike - Typical Obama actually. He wanted this distraction so that his continued failure as a leader isn't focused on. Our weak economy after 5 years of him "fixing it.," foreign policy debacles and now this screwed up roll out of a system no one really wants. the pattern remains the same but the game has shifted now.

Why not stop their pay? Well the government has been shut down around 20 times in the last how many years? And yet you have never seen a congressman put "stop their pay" in a bill have you? God forbid congress should pass such a matter. Congress is as guilty as the president - they are all corrupt - I heard Rand Paul interviewed on the radio this morning and he was asked that very question - "senator , why not have your pay stopped if the government is shut down" and even HE, RAND PAUL was against that. In answer the the radio host he suggested that radio hosts' pay be stopped (ha, ha, he made a funny). Bottom line is they are all out for themselves, not the people no matter how much lip service they give us. Couple that truth with the overall state of "mind" (most voters have no mind) of the current electorate and the racketeering media ... I see little hope for the country. It is too late!

Business as usual in DC - lies, stupidity, and greed. My own Governor, the esteemed Peter Shumlin, just sent a letter to Vermonters blaming the Tea Party for the government shutdown. The Tea Party? We have a shutdown because establishment GOP's can't agree with establishment Democrats on whether or not to defund Obamacare. The entire Congress probably only has 5-6 actual TPM incumbents (most of those in Congress who claim to be TPM incumbents don't actually "vote TPM" on bills). And why are we having a shutdown just over the Obamacare issue? Why aren't GOP's agitating for REAL budget work, like reversing Taxmageddon and the sequester, phasing out federal spending not pursuant to enumerated powers (that's about 75% of all federal spending), and fixing our tax system so it doesn't punish business investment, job creation, work effort, and personal saving (eliminating the FIT and replacing it with a flat national sales tax or a flat VAT). Why aren't GOP's focusing on how to generate surpluses to pay off the official federal debt, and abrogate off balance sheet liabilities that are not pursuant to Article 1, Section 8 federal responsibilities? I admit Obamacare is a very harmful law, and it violates the Tenth Amendment. But I find it preposterous that we are in a federal shutdown now over an issue that is much smaller than other issues we've faced for decades that should have led to a shutdown much earlier. We need a BBA, along with a statutory cap on federal tax income; this is the only thing that will force the federal government to devolve powers stolen from the States back to where they belong, and as a result eliminate the associated federal expenses so we can tackle the national debt without monetizing and destroying the US dollar.

Maybe we are having a shut down so the congress doesn't have to put up with our complaints!

Go to your Senator's website - you'll find this.

As of Oct. 1, 2013, due to the government shutdown, my offices are currently operating with limited resources and staff. Please note that phones at my Washington, D.C., office as well as my offices in Kentucky will not be monitored regularly until the shutdown has ended. Responses to correspondence will be delayed until normal government operations resume.

Please be assured I am working tirelessly with my colleagues to provide a solution to this current state of affairs.

Thank you and God Bless,

Dr. Rand Paul

Yeah, right. Why don't you senators use your salary to keep in touch with your constituents instead of finding, or creating an excuse not to.

One question: If no one wants to participate in the various health insurance programs and options offered by the Affordable Care Act (what you call Obamacare in an obvious effort to demean it), then why was the system so overwhelmed with people seeking to apply that it crashed?

And why in places like New York State (where health insurance coverage is above the national average, but where some 20-25% of residents are without health insurance coverage) did some 10 million people attempt to enroll in "Obamacare" as of mid-afternoon on Day 1?

I really like how you showed up Harry's lies! It's all the man does and yet still some lame brains believe things just because the old fart said it. I don't get how anyone supports it knowing the politicians will never feel the pinch like we do, yet people still smile and say oh yes, free health care. The price of freedom is not cheap. Those willing to give it up for the lies of free health care deserve neither health nor freedom.

mbuggieh 3 years ago

Tell the uninsured child who dies from complications of an ear infection, the common cold, or some other easily prevented and treated disease or condition that "freedom is not cheap". Tell that child that he or she is not deserving of health insurance or health care because some among us believe what you perceive to be "lies" or believe what you have been conditioned to think are "lies".

Health care is a basic human right. And since in the modern world health care is a business, then the government has an obligation (read the Constitution and its claims to "promote the general welfare") to make it possible for all of the governed---not just those who can or whose parents can afford to buy health insurance, to have access to care.

It saddens me that some Americans' political thought is so influenced by the Tea Party and its elitist leadership that American political thought has now devolved to the point where the social contract---the founding principle of the United States, is now a problem to be solved.

mbuggieh "obvious effort to demean it" Oh really? so then Obama who said himself publicly during a debate and on other occasions he likes it called Obamacare must be a real idiot in your eyes. You are so uninformed it is ridiculous. You are a prime example of a low information voter who doesn't care about getting the facts right and only looks for information, true or false, that supports your uninformed point of view.

mbuggieh 3 years ago

Insulting me and calling me "uninformed" or "low information" because I disagree with you is nothing more than bullying. It has no value and no merit and demonstrates much more about you than about me or my knowledge and/or information based.

You have NO idea who I am and even less idea what information I may or may not have. None.

This is pretty much the very conversation I had with my mother this morning about the whole mess. She agrees with me on all of this. Obamacare is a nightmare of epic proportions, and despite the fact that the majority of Americans don't want it, don't think it's a good idea, and understand that it is a nightmare, the Dems in the Senate refuse to even delay it, let alone get rid of it. Well, if they won't get rid of Obamacare, we will get rid of them.

Just calling a spade a spade. You ignore the point I made about Obama calling it obamacare disproving your point the name is derogatory and then luanch into a personal attack on me for simply calling a spade a spade in reference to your thinking - thanks for further proving my point with your replies...and your Forbes link starts with "Polls consistently show that Americans aren’t happy with Obamacare." You think that supports your point? If your point is Obamacare should be "fixed" - then why won't Obama even talk with the republicans about fixing any part of it? Your trying to support Obama and his healthcare so far has only given us more evidence why the whole thing and Obama is a farce...and you don't even realize it because you are trying hard to do just what I said uninformed voters do - reach for anything they think supports their point of view without regard for the truth or whether what they say even makes sense as long as it makes sense to them...come on, give us more evidence of your ignorance, I'm game..

So let me get this straight. Obamacare has forced thousands of full time employees into part-time employees, seriously reducing their earnings. Even though our President claims this is not happening, there are tons of information available on all of the companies who are using this loophole in the Obamacare rules.

This of course was done so the uninsured child would not die of a common cold? Take a look at any ER across the entire US and you will find them serving as Primary Care Physicians so no children are dying of common colds. And this care is provided at no cost by the way.

Does healthcare need an overhaul? Heck yes it does. Do all the side effects of Obamacare make it the perfect plan to overhaul healthcare? Heck no it doesn't. Ask any of those now part-time employees who are having to look for yet another part time job what they think of Obamacare. I don't think they will agree that this was the way to go about it.

mbuggieh - Telling someone they are uninformed isn't an insult. It is pointing out how uniformed they are. Having read your posts and responses to other readers I can tell you that I think you are uninformed too. I can find a poll to support any particular point I wish to make so lets cut that crap out for a few minutes. Where do you obtain your news? If you tell me from the Lame Stream Meddia sources I will have to believe that because that is the rubbish that those sources are spouting.

Lets talk facts. Since there was supposedly an overload of the websites why hasn't this administration given the public some hard numbers on how many people BOUGHT Obamacare yesterday? I might suppose because those numbers would be an embarrassment to them if they did.

How many people who tried to gain access and did were just curiosity seekers? Do you have that information at your finger tips too? Lets do this since you cited NY. Post a few links were we can confirm what you contend. FACTS always speak louder than the sheeple who misuse them.

One more thing mbuggieh, "Insulting me and calling me "uninformed" or "low information" because I disagree with you"

Disagree with me? - No, you disagree with the facts demonstrating that you are "uninformed" or "low information" and that is the whole point, but just like a good liberal you turn the discussion into anything but what the truth is.

"You have NO idea who I am and even less idea what information I may or may not have. None."

And that's a bad thing? I think not...Sounds like others have your number too although they also have NO idea who you are. So what, you are something different than the views you express? That figures.

mbuggieh -

A quote from your comment above. "Tell the uninsured child who dies from complications of an ear infection, the common cold, or some other easily prevented and treated disease or condition that "freedom is not cheap".

Do you by any chance have any statistics on just how many children in this country died of these common illnesses here in the USA in the past few years?

If you tell me there have been hundreds, I would say these unfortunate parents could learn a great deal from the illegal immigrants who use our ER rooms for free health care. You do realize it is law that any Hospital must provide life saving care at no cost don't you? This of course is actually paid for by persons who have insurance and pay higher costs to cover the uninsured.

It will be no different with Obamacare. Many will not be able to afford that either, so they will be subsidized by the government using tax payer money.

No, I am not proposing that poor people be allowed to die in the street so don't even go there.

mbuggieh 3 years ago

Your callous comments requesting statistics on the number of children who have died and that parents of dead kids could learn something from others who use emergency rooms for so-called "free health care" merit no response and will get none. These comments speak for themselves.

Many of the non-insured work and earn middle-class wages, and therefore, do NOT qualify for Medicaid. As such, their emergency room visits would NOT be instantly and magically paid for.

In fact, many of the non-insured would be liable for payment of the bill for the emergency room visit. The basic cost today of an emergency room visit it about $2000. Such people can be, and are, sued by hospitals for non-payment of emergency room visits.

Old Poolman profile image

Old Poolman 3 years ago from Rural Arizona

Well lets see. Illegals come here to use our delivery rooms to deliver a child who is instantly a US citizen because it was born on US soil. Their cost for this service? Zero, zip, Nada.

One of my neighbors just gave birth to a child. Her live in lover is unemployed, and she works for minimum wage. She has no insurance. Her cost including prenatal care, the delivery, and postnatal care? Zero, zip, Nada.

I'm not sure where you get your information, but this goes on all the time. So what if a person is sued by a hospital? If they have no money they pay nothing.

You missed the entire point of what I was saying. Few go without needed health care in this society with an entitlement program for most everything. You would have us believe that this wonderful Obamacare system is going to make it better. But at what cost? You didn't even respond to the fact that thousands of hard working employees have been cut to part time thanks to Obamacare.

Just cutting out the waste and fraud in the current system would have given us more than Obamacare ever will.

So lets look at this quote from you "Many of the non-insured work and earn middle-class wages, and therefore, do NOT qualify for Medicaid." So if they want health insurance they can purchase it. Many of us have had to do that and continue to do that.

Mike, people like mbuggieh won't entertain the facts when the facts refute their assertions - they hide behind comments like "your callous comment" or "you insult me" to cop out of their inability to rebuff the truth. They simply run away or cop out of any discussion once they come up against the truth if they can't simply change the subject. It's because of people like mbuggieh that I think performances like that of Ted Cruz and his ilk are nothing more than a dead cat bounce in the bear market of this country's policies and politics. That is right! America is on the decline, our leaders' morals and incompetence reach new lows month after month and when the Republican's great hope is a liberal like John McCain or a Mormon like Romney there is no way to turn the tide, nothing that can stop the decline. I hate to sound defeatist but at some point you just have to acknowledge the truth...there is no running away from it and no one on the horizon who can turn the tide. Hopefully once our worst fears are realized that person or persons will emerge from the tatters with a new mandate, but I'm not betting on that happening until the worst has happened. This country needs to hit bottom before it will admit it's addictions and get help.

Of course I can't possibly "entertain the facts" I am a stupid, uninformed, mindless liberal who is incapable of cogent argument and incapable of comprehending even the simplest of concepts.

I would only be intelligent, informed, "brainy", and capable of cogent argument and equally capable of comprehension of those simplest of ideas if I agree with you...;)

At that point, I would become, I guess, a conservative who understands that Mitt Romney's religion matters or that America is going or has gone to hell in a hand basket and that basically nothing can save America from itself.

I would also, at that point, probably determine that same-sex marriage, feminism, women's rights, voting rights, civil rights, and everything else that has defined America since about 1932 is really the work of the Great Satan.

The Frog Prince profile image

The Frog Prince 3 years ago from Arlington, TX Author

tsadjatko - The reality is that we're close to hitting bottom already. Many people just putter along using straw man arguments if they want to try to make some pointless point. There is no free lunch and many people I have to believe will have to be shocked into that reality. Sad but true. Life can be hard but it never was meant to be easy for lazy people. I didn't say liberals. I said progressives.

mbuggieh - Your continued use of straw man arguments seem to prove my point. What you mentioned there at the end has been the work of stone cold Progressives since 1932. Study your history a bit. I said Progressives, not liberals.

Frog, I have several friends with PhDs (as I'm sure you do too) and my wife works for PhDs and with PhD students and we have never heard any of them refer to their PhD studies as "professors who trained me in my doctoral studies" No one who pursues a PhD would refer to it as "professors who trained me" especially when you consider that a PhD is awarded for original contributions to knowledge! And so this is just one way he proves your point. Ah but fear not -deal with one mbuggieh and another appears. Someeldarguy - there is no such thing as free healthcare. You may think it's free if you are a bum or pay no taxes but it's the worst possible quality.

tsadjatko profile image

tsadjatko 3 years ago from maybe (the guy or girl) next door

Frog, great points in this hub - you have the facts. Now one experts says the exchanges will only handle about 7 million people out of a population of 320 million. The CBO who says Obamacare will cost over twice what the bill called for (not exactly what I'd call free health care and now we're talking trillions of dollars not billions) also says at least 30 million people will not be covered after all is said and done and rates will be up substantially even if your income is low enough to get subsidies.

WHO CARES WHAT OBAMA SAYS ABOUT ANYTHING - practically everything he has ever said about any of his policies (or opposition proposals for that matter) has been proven a lie with time like:

the quality of health care would go up while the price would simultaneously go down -- an inverse relationship between price and quality that isn't a commonplace occurrence anywhere in the real world.

“No matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise,” President Obama told the American Medical Association in 2009. “If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what.”

The CBO says between 11 million and 30 million people will lose their insurance coverage!

Thursday he told an audience in Largo, Maryland that the Affordable Care Act had not hurt jobs. “There's no widespread evidence that the Affordable Care Act is hurting jobs,” he said.

Investor’s Business Daily reports that as a direct result of ObamaCare, more than 300 companies have either eliminated jobs or reduced full time jobs to part time jobs. Hospitals across the country are firing staff and reducing work hours.

The president also told us ObamaCare would make health insurance affordable? Another whopper. Business owner Sheila Frey sayse her insurance rates have increased by 46 percent. Her small family-run company is paying $2,000 a month for coverage.

And remember how President Obama promised rebate checks to defray the cost of buying insurance coverage? Well, Shelia says her rebate check was a meager $127. You do the math. By the time ObamaCare is fully implemented, I suspect most Americans will be begging for death panels – to put us out of our misery.

I would say that liberal college professor's have done more harm to this country than even our failing government. If you keep your socialistic and progressive philosophies to yourself that is fine. If you fill the young minds of your students with this crap you are disgraceful. Your job is not to shape the thinking of these young people to match your own warped views of the world and how it should be, but to teach the subject you were hired to teach.

Liberal professors are like a plague and should all be fired and banned from teaching. Young minds should be presented with information and taught to form their own conclusions, not brainwashed by some left wing nut case.

We have video evidence of liberal professors trying to brainwash young students in their classrooms. Yet to my knowledge, not one of them has been fired or even disciplined. Allowing this to continue in our schools and institutions of higher learning is a crime.

The Professors job is to present information, not influence thinking. My guess is that this guy is most likely a victim of some liberal progressive thinking professor while getting his own education. He was brainwashed and feels it is his duty to carry on this tradition that has become a way of life in our Universities today.

Old Poolman profile image

Old Poolman 3 years ago from Rural Arizona

SomeEldarGuy - Actually in this country, free healthcare is available to those who can't afford it. It is also not substandard care because the hospital employees have no idea of the financial status of the person whom they are working on. That information is with the admitting clerk and the business office. I call it "free," but in reality those with insurance pay higher premiums and deductibles to make up for those who are treated for free. In that regard, there is no "free" healthcare because someone is still paying for it.

If you doubt what I say I can give you specific examples of illegals who have had free surgery, and child birth services to those citizens who can't afford to pay.
