President Barack Obama Is On A Bus Tour Campaign
8/17/11,President Barack Obama is on a bus tour campaign to 3 Midwest states, it was announced as an official Whitehouse event rather than a campaign swing. It was apparent that the bus tour is definitely a start of his 2012 campaign to retain the presidency only because of his remarks and statements made toward Republican members of Congress and the Republican Presidential candidates.
President Obama’s first stop on the bus tour was Cannon Falls, Minnesota. The President spoke of the economy and criticized Congress for not working together in approving important legislation that would stimulate the job market and the economy. Explaining to the audience that conditions in the world were beyond his control and that the turmoil did have an impact on the growth of the US economy. The Japanese earthquakes, the Arab spring, troubles in Europe and other activates in the middle east have created problems that caused rising oil prices at home.
The President remarked that he was frustrated with Washington, Congress’s inability to work together in solving the country’s problems. The President also complained that members of Congress were playing political games creating more uncertainty in putting people back to work. He remarked that the recent debt talks in Congress damaged the economy. The President said that Congress needs to act and pass some bills that would put people back to work rebuilding America right now.
President Barrack Obama went on to point out the four things he says Congress can pass now to create jobs "immediately," if only lawmakers would act on infrastructure investments, patent reform, free trade deals and a payroll tax cut extension. It should be clarified by the President when he claims that Congress is not doing the job, one should note that ‘’ Congress’’ is made up of the House of Representatives, lead by Speaker Boehner,2011- present ( Republican majority controlled ) and the Senate lead by Majority Leader Senator Reid ,2007-present (Democrat majority controlled ). Prior to 2011, the House was majority controlled by the Democrats,2007-2010. The President is being disingenuous for not pointing out as to which of the two parties are causing his frustrations of Congress. He only has referred to the Republicans and not once in his speeches has he ever criticized his own party ( Democrats ).
It is a fact that the Democratic party has been in 2/3 s control of the US Government since 2007- present and for the first 2+ years of the Obama administration, they have had 100% control of the government. The President has been blowing a lot of hot air about the inability of Congress to work for solutions to the economy recently.
Looking back to Jan.2009.he also once remarked ‘’ Congress needs to act , do what’s right for the country’’ , ‘’ government needs to live within it’s means’’ and government programs that don’t work need to cut funding’’. The newly appointed super committee needs to find $1.1 trillion in cuts before thanksgiving as per the recent law to raise the national debt limits.
If Obama means what he says, the committee should be able to find at least $4 trillion in government waste as pointed out by Senator Coburn of Oklahoma. See the Coburn report:

DEFICIT WASTE IN the US GOVERNMENT see video
Back in the Black, the SOLUTION
President Obama made a statement that speaker Boehner walked out of a deal to cut spending $4 trillion in 10 years. That was a half true statement but true in part of getting the whole story. Boehner said that he walked out of the meeting because the President wanted to add another $400 billion in new taxes to an already agreed amount. The President only told one side of the story, sad to Say. The President also neglected to say that he was a partner in the debt negotiations from day one. Speaker Boehner spoke to the President back in Feb. shortly after becoming the new speaker. Most of the negotiations were behind closed doors, something that the President promised that would not happen in his administration ( one of the many 2008 campaign promises ). History has a way to show up in the present when the truth is needed.
The President continued to tell the audience of what he inherited from the past administration and again mentioned the other party’s ( Republicans ) actions to stop legislation important to a recovery. The $787 billion stimulus package ( now $1 trillion )has saved the economy from the great recession. ‘’My administration has created 70,000 jobs in the private sector‘’. A news commentator remarked that 7 million jobs would bring the country out of the recession, far from 70,000 the President took credit for. One must remember that unemployment in Cannon Falls is only 6.9% while the national unemployment is 9.1%.
The US Government since 2007- present has been controlled by the Democrat party members. Somehow to continue to blame the other party (Republicans ) for all the problems in the nation is utterly ridiculous. The mainstream media appears to be on vacation or on a sabbatical. Propaganda in our nation has been taken over by the media, the press and at times by our government. The truth was news at one time, today the truth seems to have many meanings for various subjects. President made some wonderful sounding statements to the crowd. Sounding more like a campaign speech??
"What is needed is action on the part of Congress. A willingness to put the partisan games aside and say, 'We're going to do what's right for the country, not what we think is going to score some political points for the next election." After taking a few questions from the audience, President Barack Obama said ‘’ I will fight for our country with your help’ and ‘’there is nothing we can’t solve if we put country over party’’.
Before leaving and finishing the President said , "And over the coming weeks, I'll put forward more proposals to help our businesses hire and create jobs, and won't stop until every American who wants a job can find one," said the President, without detailing specifics on what might be forthcoming. "We've still got a long way to go to get to where we need to be. We didn't get into this mess overnight, and it's going to take time to get out of it," the President told the country , all but pleading for people to stick with him.
The 2012 Presidential campaign has started!
