Punishing the Climate Deniers

Belle is at the Table

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Monday, April 6, 2015. Our dear friend, Beetle Belle, is at the breakfast table this morning. She has been hearing rumors that suggest that global warming enthusiasts are determined to punish anyone who doesn't believe what they believe. Al Gore is one of those who is hot to punish all those who question the existence of manmade global warming. Belle has asked me to extend an invitation to all of you to join her for breakfast this morning. She is baking several dozen banana breads for your enjoyment. I am mixing up a batch of Irish coffees to double the pleasure. We hope to see you soon.

Get the Deniers

Thank you all for joining me this morning. As if the world isn't crazy enough, we now have a movement that seeks to punish those who have a problem with the concept of manmade climate change. Former Vice President Al Gore made a disturbing speech at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas. He told a rapt audience that companies that exceed their carbon emission limits must be punished. He called for a move that would also seek out and penalize people with opinions contrary to those held by Gore and others like him. I guess this is what is called a modern day witch hunt.

There is nothing new about the desire to punish the deniers of climate change. or global warming or whatever it is called now. Activists are anxious to take punitive measures against skeptics. Many global warming champions are calling for deniers to be jailed or, in the extreme, to receive the death penalty. Dissenters are ridiculed and slandered and ultimately many are silenced. Punishment for going against the believers can range from having funding denied to smearing a person's reputation and career. Al Gore and the United Nations have resorted to intimidation to keep their message alive. There is big money in promoting global warming and promoters are not about to consent to an intelligent debate about the subject.

New Evidence Emerges

A new study conducted by the Max Planck Institute for Meteorological Society found that the effects of aerosols on climate are much smaller that all the computer models predicted. Other studies have also debunked the global warming effects of aerosols and manmade CO2 emissions. In a perfect world studies such as this would play an important part in the global warming debate. Instead, the mainstream media shuts down the debate and the world suffers the consequences of conclusions that may prove to be entirely false. When the desire to be right outweighs the desire to get it right, everyone except for the Gores of this world lose.

Prostitution and Climate Change

Going from the ridiculous to the supremely ridiculous, California Democrat Barbara Lee proposed a resolution in the House of Representatives that claims women will be forced into prostitution in order to obtain food and water for their families. Her insane resolution is called House Concurrent Resolution 29. It contends that women will be forced into prostitution because global warming will create conflict and instability in the world. Lee prettied up the prostitution label by referring to it as transactional sex. Instead of worrying about global warming, we should be worrying about voters who elect people like Barbara Lee to represent their interests.

A Real Problem

Instead of continuing the debate about global warming, I think we would be better off studying the effects of the dumbing down of society. Our world has grown unstable because we have lunatics roaming the earth, media reporting only the news they see fit to report, and politicians winning elections by any means possible. Our fixation with political correctness threatens our existence far more than an aerosol can. Our schools are failing our children. Our colleges are filling the minds of students with a distorted view of America and the world. The end result is that we are functioning at an impossibly low level and our society is falling apart. Climate change is not going to destroy life as we know it. We are going to do that regardless of whether the earth is warming or cooling. We have a great deal of work to do, and it doesn't involve counting our carbon emissions. The garbage coming out of Washington and elsewhere is the real pollution. It is time to clean up our act.

Belle's Song

Climate change

Just an old sour song

Whether it's hot or cold

It's really getting old.

Climate change? Who gets blamed for the end of the Ice Age? I don't think we focus on the important things anymore.

The climate debate bores me. I don't care if someone believes in climate change from pollution or climate change because of the cyclical nature of weather. What I do care about is the destruction of the planet without any regard to the preservation of nature. Live responsibly and I can call anyone a friend.

Excellent article, Pop.

Some of these naysayers jump on their private jets

to go lecture to Private Joe citizen about the harm

he is causing by driving his F 150 pick-up truck.

It is the kettle calling the pot black.

You are so right about the dumbing down of America.

Pop, I did not start with you from the beginning of these fine

articles. But, if you have not written a piece about 'having a personal opinion' without getting slapped with a discrimination lawsuit, it

would make for an interesting article.

It seems that 'freedom of speech' only applies if one agrees with everyone else. Where is the freedom in that?

Keep up the great work, Pop!

Good Morning taxlarry,

The fact that the earth hasn't warmed in 19 years appears to be irrelevant. I find Gore to be the irrelevant one. See you at the Inn. It's still a bit cold for April, so I think I'll order an Irish coffees.

Good Morning billybuc,

The subject infuriates me when it really concerns taxing the hell out of people so that money can be re-distributed. What this has to do with the condition of our planet, I'll never understand. I agree with you, billy. See you at the Inn.

The climate change is obious and is inevitable. But at now it is our duty to make these change in favor of us in favor of mankind. We should never forget that our earth is the only planet on which we can live. It is our only home and we should keep it safe..

Good Morning DJ,

Thanks for the great idea. We have come to an ugly place in this nation. The very people who fought so hard to be accepted and recognized are now trying to shut down others because of their religious beliefs and differences of opinion. I attribute all of this to the death of common sense. See you at the Inn.

Good Morning shadab lanai

I agree, we have to live responsibly. It is, however, irresponsible to make unsubstantiated claims about our planet. There are many fine and reputable scientists who disagree completely with much of the science. In fact, not too long ago, the scientists claiming the sky was falling admitted they lied in order to get the attention of the world. We have yet to have a fair and balanced debate about the issue. Let's get money out of the equation and let true science back in.

Most of us know that individuals such as Al Gore are making millions by supporting climate change. I guess he didn't make enough money by inventing the internet.

It was interesting how those who support this theory were forced to change their mantra from "Global Warming" to "Climate Change" when the facts didn't support them any longer.

I also suspect that "Climate Change" is used to collect large cash payouts from big business in the form of blackmail. If they are willing to pay the demanded amount of money they will not be on the "Climate Change" hit list.

Only a fool would believe the climate on a planet like earth would never change no matter how closely we humans monitor the changes. Nobody will ever convince me that "Climate Change" is man made.

Good Morning Mike,

You views put you in very good company. Every single day reputable scientists are coming to conclusions that completely negate the Al Gores of the world. See you at the Inn, Mike.

Thanks for another great article, Pop.

Change occurs and will continue. It is a constant in the Universe. We kid ourselves if we believe that we have so much control over the climate of the earth. I agree with Billybuc. Live responsibly on the earth. That should go for everyone who lives here.

Casting blame is useless. Taking responsibility for our own behavior and our own lives is what matters.

Gore and his ilk preach and cling to the false religion of "man made" climate change like the idiots of old punished those who were punished for knowing the geocentric theory of the universe was wrong.

Photosysthesis is God's chemical formula of life and the ability to store solar energy as hydrocarbons. A little water, carbon dioxide, and sunlight and voila, sugar for food or stored solar energy and free oxygen for the animals to breath. It is a beautiful and elegant cycle.

Good Morning Deborah,

If only there were more people like you capable of making sense. There is nothing wrong with discussing climate, but there is too much money at stake to make the discussion valuable. People like Al Gore have earned millions pushing this agenda and it is time for real science to take over. See you at the Inn.

Good Morning Tom,

Thanks so much for your intelligent and eloquent commentary. There is no money to be made letting the planet evolve naturally, so the Al Gores of the world will keep pushing their false narrative. See you at the Inn.

It all comes from the primer written by Saul Alinsky, taught by our president in his community days and embraced by nearly all of the radicals who now run our country.

http://www.climatechangedispatch.com/saul-alinskys... Attack! Attack! Attack!

It is one thing to love nature and respect it and quite another to control and profit from it.

It has reached the point where climate supporters are becoming as endearing as the Westboro Baptist Church protestors who so regularly profane our fallen service men and women at their funerals.

breakfastpop profile image

breakfastpop 22 months ago Author

Dear Gawth,

We are entering a period of total intolerance in this nation and throughout the world. Gore and the UN are learning from Alinksy's play book. They attack, accuse and condemn and their pals in the MSM come in and double down on the insanity. The lunatics are outnumbering the rest of us. See you at the Inn. Locking the door behind us might be the prudent way to go.

Your last paragraph really brought the proper perspective! Lunatics roaming the earth indeed!

I don't believe in global warming, I believe it's called weather!

Barbara Lee, are you serious?

breakfastpop profile image

breakfastpop 22 months ago Author

Dear lambservant,

Weather is no longer acceptable! The fake scientists changed the name global warming to climate change in order to explain away all the freezing temperatures. We have bigger fish to fry! See you at the Inn.

Actually I am a firm believer in Climate Change. I think by year end we should close down all of the power plants, stop drilling for oil and producing gasoline for cars, and close down every business that produces goods for the marketplace.

Then in 50 or so years we would know for sure if Climate Change is fact or fiction.

These would be drastic measures and would affect every human on the planet but might stop the man made changes to our climate.

Or, in lieu of that, we could just follow the money and see who all is getting wealthy off of Climate Change besides Al Gore.

Dear Mike,

Let's follow the money. That trail would be very interesting and more productive!

POP: I know it is April 6th, but do you????? Is this an April Fool's Joke?

The world has always been able to adjust, and, that is why there is no Global Warming (I refuse to use the words Climate Change). What about the carbon footprint of all the buffalo roaming the plains? It is not just people and manufacturing. Al Gore is desperate to prove Global Warming, at any cost. I, for one, will not be intimidated by Al Gore or the equally useless U.N. Off to the bar. I will be exhaling CO2 all night - just for kicks.

breakfastpop profile image

breakfastpop 22 months ago Author

Dear Pino,

I just checked and my hub says April 6th. Are you pulling my leg? I think Gore exhales more CO2 than the average normal human being. Perhaps scientists should study him. See you at the Inn.

This is as bad as all those religions crap wars! It makes me angry because of all this. Funny thought that Gore told everyone that we all would be dea in 2012. Here we are! What went wrong? I do not believe in global warming/climate change and I lost a friend over all that. Those who believe in GW/CC do not understand how the world works. They do not truat the working of Mother Natuer and how she corrects what needs to be corrected. About all the storms and such...people are pretty stupid for building in areas that constantly get barraged by storm and tornadoes, mud slides, dry spells and anything else they want to blame the weather on instead of take responsibility for what they are doing. Volcanoes put 1,000 times more CO2 in the air than anything man can make.

Evil has grabbed the US and the world by the gonads. In the US, we continue to hope that by electing someone else to federal and state offices we would see change, but I've come to doubt that. When we elect people, we're pulling them from a cesspool of a society - when you reach into a cesspool you're far more likely to pull out poop than silver.

The 'always tolerant' liberals now want to jail or even execute people who refuse to agree with them on the climate change fraud?

In light of that, is it any wonder they want those same people disarmed?
