Peacock; thrown out of paradise. In our world the indigenous people are also been thrown out from their land

There is a myth that Peacocks were thrown out of paradise…. In our world the indigenous people are also been thrown out from their land by making them 'other' ...killing them, converting them from their religious believe and various political, cultural and economical aggressions.

As Bengalis we gave our blood to achieve right to speak in mother language, 21st February is now International mother language day. In 1971 we achieved independence by sacrificing three millions of lives…among them so many were our indigenous people.

It is a shame that we are continuing political, cultural and economical aggressions to our indigenous people. I hope our political leadership will change their mindset, and stop aggressions. I hope our indigenous people will get their right to speak and practice their mother language, they will be able to practice and preserve their cultural heritage. No one will convert them from their religious believes… They will have economical freedom including the right to their lands...They will return to eden.

Idea was to have first experience of their lives… and create art if any inspiration hits from there.

Started found objects installation. First I found a wooden billhook, used for Haong opera, so it was painted colorfully...and there was eye shape painted in billhook... Then I found bamboo made tool for water scooping in rice field..

Rabi, this is fantastic. The winds of equity are blowing all over the world right now. My prayers and best wishes for the Bengalis and the citizens of the world everywhere.

O this moved me! I hear the cry for the freedom of equality ringing through this beautiful hub! And your peacock is a fascinating piece of artwork! What a great idea for keeping hope alive and well!
