Sending Our Senate And House of Representatives On A Trip Down The Yellow Brick Road

We the people have seen the child like attitude of our government , it reminded me of kids I knew when I was just a young lad, if they could not get their own way when playing they would have a screaming fit and end up taking their ball and bat and going home.

But these men and woman are adults and should know better ,they’re the ones who are making decisions for our country and we the people . I’ve seen a group of five year old boys and girls in a room get along better and share ideas better then these men and woman who are House of Representative and Senate members.

I had such high hopes for President Barack Obama that he would be a good president, and I know it is a very hard job to do. And I’m sure it made it much more harder when he have to provide day care services for the men and woman of the House of Representatives and the Senate . If he does run again I think he will need a miracle to get reelected as president

What To Do With The Members of This House of Representatives And Senate

At election time we must decide if any member of the House of Representatives or the Senate are worthy to keep their job in our government, and if some are then we must first send them on a trip down the yellow brick road in search of the Wizard of Oz . Because many of them will need hearts and many will need brains and many will need courage to lead this country back to greatness once again .

And if all the people feel that none of them are worthy to keep their jobs we the people need to give them their pink slips and start out new and fresh with new members of the House of Representatives and the Senate. But also letting them know that we the people are not going to put up with their game playing and child like behavior, because we are sick and tired of it and mad as hell and we are not going to take it anymore .I think this House of Representatives and Senate will go down in the history books as being the worst ever in all of those who served in the government of the United States of America.

It is said that there are 29 million people in this country that are on food stamps, and many of them have no jobs and no money. Our government and country better smarten up or they will have to tax the rich people, because they will be the only ones that have any money. The House of Representatives and Senate have lived off the fat of the land for too long now, we need not only to cut their spending but make cuts in their pay and health care as well .

I think that we has a country have strayed to far from the foundation that the great founding fathers of this country set forth with the ideals and values that made this country great . We need to once again embrace these ideals and values so The United States of America can once again be the great country it once was and it’s people can once again be proud to be Americans.

You hit the nail on the head Kashmir. I really like your creative analogy of the yellow brick road and bringing it into what our government needs to have, to get things back on track. Just a great and informative read :-)

Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow the yellow brick road!

Great hub Kashmir! You are correct. Our reps need to take a trip to gain some courage, a heart and some brains. We really need ordinary Americans to become our reps and stop electing those that do not have our interests at heart. We also need to stop choosing entertainment over what's happening to this nation.

Fabulous hub. I hope a gazillion people read it.

kasmir56,

What a shame that those in office don't click their heels, as Glinda taught Dorothy... "we really do have it all along if we work with each other?" Here's hoping for November and that everyone gets out and exercises their right to vote in an informed, responsible manner.

Thank you for this wonderful analogy-- loved it! Voted UP & UABI, mar.

Perfect point. I really hope people come out this election and make a true difference. We don't need different parties anyway. We should be united with no party affiliate. You are right, it is like watching a bunch of kids. No wonder this great nation is falling apart. It is time for the people to run this great nation. Hopefully it is not to late to climb out this hole we are in. Voted up and great topic.

Hi Tom, This is a well written hub. Politics manages to get in the way of doing what is right for the people of our country. The divide between democrats and republicans ensures nothing will get done. And while politicians look out for themselves first, last, and always, the little guy doesn't stand a chance. I know people who are politically connected and they tell me stories about how corrupt our government is on all levels, federal, state, and local. It is hair raising to hear what these politicians are doing, even on a personal level. Our country was built with forethought and by men like Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson, people we will probably never see the likes of again. Voted up and more.

kashmir56 profile image

kashmir56 4 years ago from Massachusetts Author

Hi toknowinfo nice to see you, yes i do agree with everything you have said in your comments,it's a shame but true. Also do not believe everything the president tell you on TV, if he told you the truth on how bad the country really was, there would be people jumping off buildings. Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson were men that put the country and people first, the men and woman we have in there right now are only looking out for themselves and driving the country into the ground. Thanks so much for your nice comments and to for stopping by !

Also thanks for your vote up and more !

I so agree! I've been saying for quite awhile now that we need to clean house! The fact is we have taxation without representation, the men & women who are in our Federal government are millionaires - they do not have a clue what it is like to live in the working class of society and certainly don't understand the problems that most people in this country deal with from day to day, just to survive. I do not disdain anyone having wealth, especially if they worked for it, but money doesn't create great leadership!

Sorry, I got carried away on my own 'rant' - I enjoyed your hub, voted up & interesting!!!

God bless!

kashmir56 profile image

Hi Gottabegod nice to see you, yes i agree with your comment and i don't think it is a rant. We got to stop electing millionaires for these jobs because they keep supporting the rich, and why not they are rich to,their not going to raise the taxes of the rich because they would be raising their own taxes as well. Thanks for the voted up & interesting!!! And thanks so much for stopping by and to for your nice comments ! GBY !

I know many or most people will not discuss their party but since I try to always go for the best man I don't have that problem. I was so fooled by Obama last time I could not wait to get out and vote for him and now I cannot tell you how sorry I am, it is like I have to go out on a limb to make up for it. That man is a nightmare and he really is trying to tear down America and weaken us til we are no more and we are about there! I think it will be a miracle if he is not elected because Van Impe (sure you know him) says Kissinger is priming Obama for a one world government and if that is true then it sounds like the election has done been decided! How can anyone look at that man and think he cares about us? Have they been blinded?

Up and shared.

Hi Pollyannalana nice to see you, and i do agree with you have said in your comments. But the way the polls are right now it does look like Obama will win again. Why would anyone vote for Obama again, maybe because they don't like Romney . Thanks so much for the vote up and share ! Also thanks for stopping by and to for your nice comments !

I truly think that the people who founded our form of government and who served in the various branches of government did so with the intent of helping the country as a whole. Now the focus is all about getting reelected and feathering their own nests so to speak with exceptions far and few between. Sad! The way we are currently going...soon we will be following Greece and Spain regarding bankruptcy as a country if we do not radically change direction. Hopefully the upcoming election will be a turning point! Up and shared.

jessefutch profile image

I think after the debate the tide will turn in favor of Romney. Obama has spent his entire presidency campaigning. He gets to commandeer whatever TV time he wants, as a perk of his office. Many people only know what they THINK they know about Romney from Obama ads! Not to mention many polls are owned and/or operated by the liberal media, so I doubt their accuracy. If Obama wins, the possibility is high that our creditors will come to collect, our foreign policies will fail miserably and our country will disintegrate. I do not think the American public is as stupid as Obama thinks (or hopes) they are. People can see the failings of this administration and I truly hope they vote our way out of it!

Hi Peggy nice to see you, yes i do agree with your views and concerns on the direction our government has gone in. Maybe Romney will be better liked now! I sure like him better because I did not know him but to see him throw that 90 billion Obama is obviously paying his friends just made my day! He didn't back down and brought it up more than once and you could see Obama's emotions. I would watch my back if I were Romney and I am not kidding. You do know now Obama has a new law of no trial before you shoot someone down? Maybe a personal plan. Certainly unAmerican! One scary man.
