Socialism Stinketh

A True Picture

I was cruising around on You Tube and ran across a video with some telling words, actually two of them so I thought we'd give them some thought. I'll save the second one for later. I'm known as a patriot and proud of it. I still believe in the stars and stripes, Mom, apple pie and truth and justice. I'm not a racist or race baiter or think we need to be divided along class lines. I learned better through 23 years in the US Army. After you've learned to see people as "green" for that long it usually isn't going to change. I still see everyone as "green" to this day I also know a phony when I see one and I see more than a few sitting up on Capitol Hill in cushy seats spending our money that we don't have and one empty chair that when occupied at all is filled by an empty suit.

So lets have a little music while we cover some ground.

Socialism is a tricky little gimmick. It is based in economics, which escapes many people, though it does have tentacles into areas such as collectivism which is also intermingled with economics. The little ditty above keeps it simple but is an apt description of the concept as it applies to our economy. Ours is a free market economy. The present administration, backed up for the first two years of a wacko bunch of Democrats, showed us what the spending side of the junkie equation is and now Obama wants to show the nation what the cost of reckless spending is. It's called excessive taxation because they allowed us to live beyond our means. All in the name of the better good of society but in name only, most of us know things can't work that way for long.

Just the other day a video of Obama surfaced from 1995. This was from the period when he was a community organizer. Listen very closely. People say that Obama isn't a socialist with Marxist leanings. The facts say otherwise. Obama didn't invent the idea of "redistribution of wealth." That came from one Karl Marx. Obama was raised in a Marxist household. That is undeniable. That upbringing had a dramatic impact on how Obama thinks. You really don't have to be a genius to understand where Obama was coming from in this clip. You might actually fall into the "box of rocks" category if you don't.

Time Line: 1995. Democracy with a little "d" Really?

Let me dispel a myth before we proceed. There is a rumor that Fox is going to air the documentary 2016, Obama's America at 9 PM this Sunday. It is totally untrue and seems to be in the "dirty tricks" category. Amazing how Obama and Nixon are showing similarities. I've been encouraging all Americans to travel to the theater when it arrives near you to examine a bit of actual history concerning Barack Hussein Obama. As the trailer says, "You might like him or hate him. But you don't really know him." Most of the documentary is based upon Obama's own words in his books, his known associations and other archives about the man. I can guarantee you that Obama doesn't want you to go see it and not because it isn't true. Facts remain facts. I'm known as a fact checker and the facts presented there passed the smell test.

Right From The Top Man Himself

Now the tie in of collectivism and Obama, It is there and you'd be a fool to deny it. Where did the "you didn't build that, someone else did that for you" come from? It comes from the concept that the "state," not the individual, reigns supreme and is the provider of all. We are but subjects and the recipients of its largess. That's exactly where that comes from.

Obama is someone's tool and eventually we might discover who is behind the curtain. As Putin said it is one of two things. Either Obama is an idiot, which I don't find that to be the case, or he is purposely trying to destroy our economy. That seems more likely when one actually views his history and doesn't just say, "You lie. You lie." How much of his past has been invented I have no idea. But I have read his books and those are supposedly his words. Again, go see 2016 and take some folks with you.

What has Obama accomplished other than to add to the "state?" Is that the nation we want and want to leave to our heirs? That's a serious question and one you need to have a fix on when you enter that voting place this November. This really isn't all about you though many of you would like to think it is. Obama is all about collectivism and has been for years. History shows quite clearly that collectivism results in the death of your freedoms and your human and civil rights. Read some of the EO's Obama has signed during his short tenure. Read them carefully.

The Signs Can't Get Any Clearer

Source

I will close with how the dictionary defines the word collectivism. Keep in mind that this is intricately tied to the economic principles of socialism.

col·lec·tiv·ism/kəˈlektəˌvizəm/

Noun:

The practice or principle of giving a group priority over each individual in it.

The theory and practice of the ownership of land and the means of production by the people or the state.

So there you have more of the vetting of Obama. You have been able to hear the 1995 video. He hasn't changed his mind. He still believes in the redistribution of wealth. His sheeple can deny and deny away. The sad part of that denial is that more than a few of them don't separate Obama from the Democratic Party. They are so stuck in a political party's ideology that they are missing the obvious. Sadly, many of them don't want to take a good hard look at the type of snake oil they bought into. There is no such thing as a free lunch. Most people know that.

"Like" it, "Tweet" It, "Pin" It, "Share" It with your followers and lets expand the education of the people. Thanks!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Most learn enlightenment through suffering and pain. The wise learn through attraction. We as a nation are the leaders of world enlightenment but are losing our Constitutional Republic. There will be long pain and suffering when this happens and it surely will with EO BO at the wheel."

Yes, shame on us! I really am at a loss for how naive Americans have become. My dad served in the military until he retired, and neither of my parents are racists, and so it has not one thing whatsoever to do with race. I do believe all is on purpose. I'll have to come back and listen to his video. I loved the other song video. Very thought-provking piece here once again. Wake Up America and remove those veils from your eyes. The deception is real. Voted Way Up, except funny, as it is as about far away from funny as it can get. God bless you, and God bless America. In His Love, Faith Reaper

Let's be honest. Obama should have never been elected in the first place. It was quite clear that he was anti-American and anti everything we believe in from democracy to capitalism to freedom of speech. But lo and behold he captivated the public with a few slick lines. No big deal that he was a socialist, no big deal at all. If this travesty happens again we are doomed. Up and awesome, as always.

BPOP - All anyone had to do was research Barack Hussein Obama, read his books and then compare his rhetoric to his history. It was all right there and much of it still is. He sold the hope and change snake oil. Nice empty sounding words that people wanted to hear.

I love that you call yourself a fact checker. Just to deal with one of the issues:

Spending, as you say Obama spent so recklessly and raised our spending with the help of those crazy Democrats, let's have a look at that.

From a purely factual basis Obama's spending is lower than Bush's and he has reduced it significantly. Obama's 2010 budget cut spending 1.8%, 2011 increased it 4.3% and 2012 will increase it 0.7% 2013 will reduce it 1.3% (already budgeted) add 1.5% inflation yearly and we get 4.3+0.7= 5. 5- 1.8-1.3-1.5X3= -2.6% on spending from Obama budgets.

We all know a cut isn't a cut it is a cut in the rate of growth - nice try Josak - Obama added almost as much spending in dollars as Bush did so how is that to be praised - after Bush spent so much all Obama did was pile on more when he promised to reduce spending.

Josak profile image

Josak 4 years ago from variable

No that is a reduction in spending not a reduction in the rate of growth, read the article if you like. Spending is down, simple as that.

The fact is Josak, which you like to ignore, is that Obama has added over $5.4 trillion to our national debt in less than 4 years. He has out spent all the Presidents combined and added much of it to our deficit. Yes Leftie, I am a fact checker and also know how to interpret the facts without some lunatic spin. What I will now suggest to you Josak, since you also are usually negligent in this area, is to remain on the subject. I have presented FACTS to you so refute them with valid links or move on.

Attacking me shows that you can't accept facts as facts. Too bad so sad. Try paying attention to affairs in your own nation. We got this covered son. I will only issue you one warning so remain on topic and I am not the topic here.

Frog, I'd like to let Josak's deception go but I can't because he does NO fact checking himself - here is the link that tells the truth about the market watch article he cites and it explains how the market watch article is a fraud contrived so that the left and the whitehouse can use it to further their own lies about spending. Josak is nothing but a liberal hack and you really should ban him too if you don't want him clouding discussion with off the topic unchecked falsehoods, evidently his expertise.

Yes spending is still high where it was left because it takes time to reduce it, at the current rate Obama will reduce spending by more than 5% by the time he leaves office if he get's another term which is more than the spending reduction that Romney is promising in his 8 years. Which will also be the greatest spending reduction in American history in raw sums and the third biggest in percentage.

Throughout our history of excess deficit spending it has always been Republicans who have perpetuated it, Reagan tripled the debt and George Bush increased spending more than any president in history, both Clinton and Obama have reduced spending.

BTW and for the last time I am a US citizen (though I wasn't born here) which makes this my nation, cheers.

tsadjatko - I'm used to Josak trolling articles sprinkling his little cow patties of deceit. He started running his gums about something that had little, if anything, to do with the subject of the Hub. I call it what it is - trolling.

He's like Obama. He believes his own lies which is a bit on the pathological side to say the least. Misinformation and deflection are let wing loon tools.

This article has NOTHING to do with Bush. Read the link tsadjatko posted to refute your supposed facts then keep on moving. You are dealing with people here a lot smarter than you are son. We know how to fact check and you obviously do not. You cited a myth as fact.

"The fact is Josak, which you like to ignore, is that Obama has added over $5.4 trillion to our national debt in less than 4 years."

Whenever someone starts spewing percentages and formulas, you can bet that you are being lied to by a statistician:

"From a purely factual basis Obama's spending is lower than Bush's and he has reduced it significantly. Obama's 2010 budget cut spending 1.8%, 2011 increased it 4.3% and 2012 will increase it 0.7% 2013 will reduce it 1.3% (already budgeted) add 1.5% inflation yearly and we get 4.3+0.7= 5. 5- 1.8-1.3-1.5X3= -2.6% on spending from Obama budgets."

The fact is, Obama increased the federal debt by over $5 trillion in less than four years, making him the biggest spender in history. Claiming otherwise by manipulating numbers is a lie, and we all know it.

"The influence of the previous president fades over time, and is rarely anywhere near as powerful as policies enacted by the Administration currently in power. Obama himself is likely to become one of the most dramatic exceptions to that rule, because the ObamaCare fraud was sold with phony accounting tricks that made it look refactchecklatively revenue-neutral in its first ten years, by front-loading income and deferring costs. "

Obama knowingly lied, again, on 60 minutes about his spending - a fact check Josak missed (or ignored?)

WillStarr while it is true that the deficit has gone up most of the rise is attributable to:

1. Two unpaid wars inherited from the Bush years.

2. An unpaid Medicare drug plan from Bush.

3. The Bush tax cuts.

4. An economy that Bush trashed thereby reducing tax revenues.

The truth hurts doesn't it?

Sorry, but the economy was trashed by the failure of Freddie, Fannie, the CRA, and the loony notion that people who can't afford a house should get one anyway! All were the creations of Democrats.

The truth hurts doesn't it?

Is that right and just where was that money for these wars accounted for? Not on Obama's watch. You lefties love to spin away at Bush. The problem is that all your talking points are lacking actual factual data.

So then explain how taxes are government money? Or are you a socialist too ketchingup? Any catching up you do need to do needs to be in the areas of research and critical thinking. This economy belongs to Obama and has since he told us he was capable of fixing it. He's a fraud.

They really believe he will take care of them. They can't even question within their own minds his motives or the very real possibility their loved ones will be the first ones denied care. It's denial on a level I have seldom seen. It's like they can't let go of the fantasy without crumbling inside, like it's the last vestige of hope they have. If they were not scary enough, the darn electoral college map AOL keeps running shows him way ahead, every day. It's making me sick. God help us all. We need to bum rush the voting booths by the truckloads! ROCK THE VOTE. Thank you, Sir Frog for keeping at it and this installment, with the video support, is just the kind of powerful reminder of reality America needs.

Ya'll said it all. :) I have been fighting the good fight since my first presidential election, and I am now 60. The facts and figures are the ammunition - important that we do no regurgitate the lies that are told in the spirit of: a lie told often will be believed as truth. That is the M.O. of both parties. I remember arguing Reaganomics with people once it was proven to work. Of course Reagan was certainly not the first one to use this strategy. When the business that turns the wheels of a Republic are not crony driven, it works every time. Obama turned all the stimulus money into paying off the Unions, banks here and across the pond, and so on . . . ad nauseum. So, we can take away from this that we need to get the lobbyist out of Washington, and have term limits for Senators, and all political office. In other words, you take a turn of 4 years and go home, and don't come back for 8 years.

We had a good time at the range, but the impending rain barometer is trying to kill me - so I will cut it short.

There is no excuse for Americans to have watched California, with it's exodus of business and citizens when they went nuts with spending and state government, and wholesale sin and not learned a damn thing.

As far as the enemy infiltrating our Republic - were we not watching Europe? Who, in this Republic actually learns. Why do we have to be on the brink of losing it all before we all wake up. I don't give a hoot who spent what - why didn't we stop them before now - peacefully, but firmly. It is our Republic. I have talked to people for 35 years, and people just wouldn't believe me. So here we are arguing about who spent more - they both spent too much - on our watch - and that is what I just can't get past.

Ya'll play nice. Listen to the Frog, he knows what he is talking about.

All you have to do is go to the grocery store or the gas pump to know how bad things are - MUCH WORSE THAN 4 YEARS AGO. To say anything different is to deny what is before your eyes.

Night Night. I am going to sleep and dream of Texas in the 50's and 60's - it really was awesome.

I agree Obama is a collectivist of the most extreme order. He tries to hide it by saying things like "collectively, we can decide our own fate." But what he really means is "central government can impose its will to implement collectivsm to benefit itself and its supporters at the expense of all others through wealth redustribution." His argument is anachronistic. On the one hand, he lauds the fall of communism in the USSR (which by the way is returning under Putin), but at the same time deeply supports socialism here in the US. The two ideologies are almost identical, communism being a bit more extreme in that it insists on actual ownership of the means of production, rather than just bullying business owners into furthering state goals at their own expense (of course, the corporate cronies who do an excellent job at doing this are well compensated by the state, but what about the lower returns for public shareholders and workers who pay the freight arising from weaker business returns?). As you say, Obama is a snake oil salesman, and about 50% of our nation is buying. After four years of Obama, any further damage to this nation from this Marxist hack can be squarely placed on the shoulders of those fools who vote for him in November.

Stu 4 years ago

Josak,

"From a purely factual basis," the official US federal debt has risen from $10 trillion to $16 trillion under Obama's watch (a 60% increase in less than four years out of our nation's 230 year history). The Federal Reserve has printed uncountable trillions in fiat money bailing out US banks and industrial corporations, as well as FOREIGN banks and sovereign nations, raising the specter of hyperinflation once the recession ends (if it ever ends) and demand picks up. And the off balance sheet debt, about 60% of which are liabilities associated with Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, continues to soar unabated, now stands at an inconceivable $90 trillion that we can never pay off. I know the economy is weak, but we really need severe austerity - massive federal government layoffs, lower civil service salaries, phase-out of all federal insurance and transfer programs and eventual devolution to the states (where more means testing and lower benefit formulas will be employed; besides, the federal government lacks any enumerated power to even operate such programs), and possibly a temporary (say 30 year) aggregate tax increase to pay off the official federal debt over time (if the expense cuts don't get us to a strong current account surplus). And we need to stop discouraging domestic business investment with the insanely high FIT rates we have; the FIT should be replaced with a flat rate consumption tax both to spur domestic business investment and jobs, as well as restore a measure of equity to the tax system (the poor use more in government services, but the wealthy pay far more per person in taxes; a flat national sales tax would eliminate some of this inequity). Also, progressive tax rates violate the Constitution (the Constitution says that all taxes must be uniform).

Factually speaking,

Stu

Stu, you are completely correct. However, we will not survive as the USA if America defaults on the boomer's Social Security, Disability (SS and Vet), and Medicare. We paid in our whole lives. Many of us were taxed to death. As a single mom of 2 it took all of my income to keep them in neighborhoods and schools equal to what my parents did. I never took welfare of any kind. My grandparents did not receive funds in their old age. My parents paid in, and did not quite take back what they paid in. I paid in and I do expect to get back what was paid in for me plus interest annually. There are millions like me. If our funds are cut, you may as well line us all up and shoot us. This dishonor of not meeting this obligation will tear this country apart like none other in history. I believe America can bloody well stop paying money we don't have to our enemies, and even some of our allies. We must take care of our own. For those programs, if someone did not pay in, they must not be paid another dime (illegal aliens). The abuse of all programs must stop. Putting the control locally would be effective if you could stop the local political graft. I don't claim to have all the answers. I just know that a Republic cannot survive the shame of committing such a crime on it's citizens. We were brought up in an America where we were taught to trust our representatives, local, state, national - all the same. We were brought up praying, and saying the pledge every morning at school.

I cannot stop believing in miracles now. There are solutions that can be found, if the nation is whole again. That is our faith that is turning rotten, and must be revived. Over 45 years my career bloomed into being hired by corporations to fix a department, or the corporation itself. There was always a way. People will amaze you when you give them a clear definition of what is expected to achieve the results needed. I was always a part of a team, my enthusiasm was always contagious. I remember a girl who just could not balance the big bank statements (2,000 pieces). She did fine with the small ones. I would look at her work and pick out the mistakes fairly quickly ( after a few years it becomes second nature, finding mistakes). I realized she was never going to get the job done, and I would be a lousy manager if I kept fixing things for her. I set 2 bank statements on my desk, and invited her into my office. What I said was real simple, and anyone could have said it. "There is not difference between reconciling the small one and the big one. The exact same process is done, and I have streamlined that before I gave this responsibility to you. If you treat them exactly the same, you will have the same success. I believe you can do this." And she did. Turning a small business, large business, small state, large state, or nation around and into the black - it is all the same process. One thing for sure, everyone has to wear more than one hat - private sector or public.

I am sick of hearing about how everything will fail. I am more than ready for some positive posts / hubs / emails / FB comments / twitters / television commercials. I am ready to hear solutions - real ones that confront the real problems. Declaring one day that we will just stop doing everything for anyone, treating the moochers the same as the American citizens who has paid his / her taxes for 45 years is not a solution.

Yesterday, I read that Hillary is telling Libya to get rid of government regulations, so the businesses will thrive and hire people. WHAT ABOUT US? I am sick to death of double standards. I am sick that my friend lost his 30 year business because of US regulations - he couldn't compete with China's cheap unregulated product. He had owned a dental lab making dentures, bridges and such. Why don't we solve that problem first. We must start somewhere. Isn't that a cause all Americans can get behind?
