THE TIME FOR DECISION IS NEAR-IT'S THE 11TH HOUR

INTRODUCTION

Fellow Hubbers, and other readers in my previous Hub, http://hubpages.com/hub/8-31-2010-OVAL-OFFICE-SPEECH I tried to give President Obama the benefit of the doubt. I did my research and I had watched the video of his speech at least five more times since it was delivered. In this hub I posited some conclusions on President Obama, which I will repeat in this Hub directly below.

MY CONCLUSIONS (FROM PREVIOUS HUB)

It will come as no surprise of you fellow Hubbers that my opinion of President Obama has often been less than complimentary. I’ve been downright critical of the president on more than one occasion.

With all of this in mind I must say that for the first time in his administration I can find no fault with his Oval Office speech. I know most of you are thinking,” My God Tom’s started drinking the Kool Aid!!!!!!!

Well Fellow Hubbers and other readers I will state unequivocally that I have not started drinking the Kool Aid I an just giving credit where I think it’s due. This is the first speech by President Obama where I felt he was talking to the American people and not at the American people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve stated before I’m an eternal optimist and I can always hope that President Obama has come to his senses and will do the best possible job for all Americans!!!!!!!! After all he’s the only president we have at this time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m not convinced he will do it but I still can have hope because we need him to do it so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TIME PASSES AND MINDS CHANGE

As you can see I was very optimistic in giving President Obama the benefit of the doubt, but the rose colored glasses have been snatched from my eyes. You might say my eyes have been plucked out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Burn me once shame on you, but burn me twice, and double shame on me!!!!!!!!! My mind has completely changed on President Obama and the prospect of this political hack ever showing true leadership!!!!!!!!!!

In recent times he has returned to the form we have seen for almost 19 months of this abysmal administration. His arrogance and condescension knows no bounds and he’s a master at demonization once again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s bad enough that he’s blasted Fox News Channel and the Republican Party all through his term I saw him telling a former supporter at a recent town hall meeting; don’t criticize unless you have solutions yourself. Well my friends and fellow Hubbers this poor lady wasn’t elected to be President of The United States of America and find the solutions, but the Chicago Community Organizer in Chief was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was one of the most shameful displays of boorish behavior I have ever seen by a grown man directing scorn at a simple question by a supporter!!!!!!!! This man is suppose to find the solutions to problems, but nooooooooooooo old Barry wants to deflect blame and heap scorn on others!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This man is the rare combination of Jimmy Carter’s leadership abilities and Richard Nixon’s paranoid ego!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It just doesn’t get any worse than that!!!!!!!!!

MY CONCLUSIONS (FROM THIS HUB)

Fellow Hubbers and other readers you can plainly see from the title of this Hub time is growing short until the mid-term elections!!!!!!!!! For the sake of this great nation, The United States of America we must do all we possibly can to stop this scoundrel in his wicked tracks!!!!!!!!!!!!! Elect officials who will oppose the Obama agenda!!!!!! The sake of the nation depends on your action in the coming days!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two can play Obama’s game come early on election day in November, 2010, and vote often after all that’s the Chicago way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Through your actions may God bless the USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You wrote a lot of words, but most of it means squat. You like exclamation points though, I will give you that.

Speaking of Jimmie Carter, I saw him on TV last night and he was talking about Obama having a great administration just like his own. They both show arrogance, lack of being in touch with Americans and American values. The commentator said that Carter measured his administration by the amount of legislation passed. To me that is a bad standard.Less legislation concentrating on good legislation would be better.

dahoglund,

Sir you are spot on!!!!!!!! With legislation we want quality not quantity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your cogent comment.

Out of touch, out of control, and soon out of power!! I also saw the Carter crap the above commenter was referring to, and I swear, hard as it may be to believe, Carter may actually be more arrogant than Barry! Either way, they BOTH sucked as presidents and they are both overwhelming narcissistic! God, please rescue my nation from the control of morons!

Tom Whitworth profile image

Sheri,

I see your point re: Carter and Obama, but as least Carter knew he was lost in the job and Obama runs a bluff like he's doing the job well. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your cogent comment!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tom, I think you made your point very well!!!!!

Obama has done a miserable job and some of the changes that are coming can not be undone. For instance, China has expressed an interest in buying GM which would mean the business would be owned by a communist country. The people who owned the common stock got thrown under the bus with the stimulus deal losing every dime, and now you probably won't want stock from a communist country owner who doesn't know the meaning of human rights.

Obama I'm sure would let this happen as the government and the union own I believe it is 60+% of the company now.

Don't drink the Koolaide is right!

Pamela,

You are right on target with your observations. Better dead than Red was the slogan all my life, and as far as I'm concerned it still applies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your supportive comment.

Well Ton the NY Times wrote an article about how Obama and his advisors were going to run TV Ads disparaging the Tea Party and yesterday at a town hall meeting with hand picked audience members Obam still got blasted by a woman who voted for him. She said she was exhausted from defending him and then proceeded to let him have it on a number of things. But as far as midterms I will not be comftorable until we have a changing of the guard. And we have not had midterms yet so I hope everyone stays vigilant. It is still a Democratic congress right now.

Tom Whitworth 6 years ago from Moundsville, WV Author

Tony,

Your point is well made. Vigilance is paramount and these's no room for complacency. I also won't feel comfortable until after 2012, but for now we must overcome the arrogance and incompetence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your comment.

Good stuff here Tom. I read both of your hubs on Obama. I give you credit for trying to see the good in him and the administration but he continues to prove he is not suited for the job. I like how you compared the two obama hubs. Hubs are supposed to make you think and I appreciate that you show us two views that you've had. Thanks for sharing and being honest about your stance.

Tom Whitworth profile image

Tom Whitworth 6 years ago from Moundsville, WV Author

Minnetonka Twin,

I agree with your assessment of my looking at both sides of President Obama as that's the way my parents taught me to be. Also I agree he is completely unsuited for this job. As a matter of fact I wouldn't elect him as a dog catcher.

The honesty was also due to my upbringing.

Thank you for your cogent and complimentary comment.

TimBryce 6 years ago

Tom -

It's going to be interesting to see years from now how historians view both the Bush and Obama presidencies. Bush will primarily be remembered for how he reacted to 9-11. Obama will go down as the worst president (beating out Carter by a wide margin).

Regards,

Tim

To, With the right connections in Chicago you can vote more than twice! You vote as anyone does, you vote as any number of people in a cemetary, you make up a name and vote with an address that doesn't exist, etc. The right Democratic precienct captain can help you arrange this. We don't have elected Republican's in Chicago, like most major northern cities.

We need CHANGE & HOPE, but not Obama style. H

I would consider you the expert on Chicago style politics, and I both agree and defer to your judgement in this matter!!!!!!!!!

It's outrageous behavior from a President of The United States of America. He should be ashamed of himself!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even if he does right by us from here on out, the damage has already been done at the outset. He may be quieting down his rhetoric to try and save a seat or two for the midterms, but I don't think he has any interest in going to the center to the extent that Clinton did. We'll have to wait and see, I guess.

Tom Whitworth profile image

Tom Whitworth 6 years ago from Moundsville, WV Author

Jim,

I completely agree with your evaluation of the present situation. He's too much of an idealogue to ever move to the center. He's such a lefty his last name should be Grove!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your supportive comment.

James my friend,

This is a coincidence. I was just reading your new hub on musical groups of the 1960's.

That put aside, your observations are totally true. We owe it to all Americans to serve and preserve this great nation!!!!

Thank you for your cogent and insighful comment.
