Tactical Mountain Bicycles: Smith And Wesson's Police Bike, and the Montague Paratrooper
Bicycles And Health
Economic uncertainty and not enough alone time can trouble even the strongest minds, and have you seen the price of gasoline lately? How often does a person get into an automobile to drive just a few blocks or a few miles? I say, ride a bicycle for your health, for your wealth, and for your mind's sake.
As for myself, I don't own a gasoline of diesel burning vehicle at present. I own bicycles. I'm getting older, but aren't we all? I want to stay fit and trim and stay of reasonably sound mind in the tumultuous storm life brings. I ride mountain bicycles, or mountain-bikes and I certainly recommend them to each and every one of you.
Now bicycles have been with us for a good long while now, and the good news is that they aren't going away. So long as there are roads and persons healthy enough to peddle down them, there will be bicycles, and persons reaping the benefits of keeping the heart and lungs and legs in better shape than the person that doesn't bicycle down the road.
While walking is also a good option for transport over short distances - the bicycle allows, obviously, for swifter transport and thus, further distances. Want more resistance and a better workout? Wear a backpacked full of books or gear, or work the gears to force yourself to work harder. You really can't lose here.
What Is A Mountain Bicycle?
Simply put, a mountainbike is a sturdier bicycle, a bicycle designed for unpaved roads, or merely trails in the woods. Mountain bicycles are built to withstand some jumping and some tom foolery away from a city street, however, mountain bikes are also well suited to an urban environment, and especially over a short haul.
Obviously, when we are talking of things like the Tour De France, those persons are not using a mountain bicycle, and they are riding rather long distances.
I honestly don't know what the common street bicycles of today are like, as I do not own one, and don't need one either. When I ride bicycles, I am going down mostly rock and dirt roads, and so I require a mountain bicycle, with its wider tires to keep me from being bucked off into the ditch, and standing up with skinned up elbows and such. Street bicycles are for the street, mountain bicycles work perfectly well on the street, but also for rock or dirt roads, or beat up old roads with potholes everywhere - these are the terrains for the mountain bicycle.
Modern mountain bicycles sometimes have as many as thirty "speeds" on them, now I do not need nearly so many - but the great thing is, that I'd have them anyway. Typically here where I live in Texas, I would need or use no more than five of the speeds for the ups and downs of hills, and the hills here are not very steep most of the time. Where you live, things could be different. I might travel - a nice mountain bicycle simply gets many a potential ride/job done for the person healthy enough and motivated to ride one.

NEW Montague Paratrooper Folding Mountain Bike
The Montague Paratrooper
Now I can't for the life of me think of any reason that I or you should jump out of a perfectly good airplane, but should you be a military person, then perhaps you have, but in such cases there would be no need at all for me to tell you about the Montague Paratrooper mountain bicycle - as you already know all about it, and maybe have used one.
Me, I don't even need a folding bicycle really, but can't we all easily acknowledge how a military grade folding mountain bicycle could well come in very handy? I mean, after folded, it would fit into literally any motor vehicle, and often times folks only own a small car, and might like to drive to some biking trails, well - here you are, a totally terrific and durable folding mountain bicycle built to withstand the rigors of military use.
If you are as quick as a soldier, you can fold this mountain bicycle into a 36" x 30" x 12" form, or out of that folded form, in just thirty seconds without the use of a single hand tool.
Now the price of this bike is about eight hundred dollars, and for that you get a bike that only the wildest off road mountain bike riders will tear up, and the pride of knowing that you own a bicycle that US Marines also ride.
The description below is from the official Montague website.
The Paratrooper® is a full-size mountain bike that can traverse terrain silently at high speeds with no thermal or acoustic radar signature - key components when trying to avoid the enemy. The Paratrooper® offers up to 500 pounds of load hauling capability and it does not need gasoline. It has enhanced off-body load bearing capabilities, a high level of maneuverability, and can compact to a portable size in less than 30 seconds. The bikes are indeed used in conjunction with LAV’s (Light Armored Vehicles) and HMMWV’s as back up transportation and they also help to facilitate battlefield reporting.

Police On Smith And Wesson Police Mountain Bicycles.
Smith & Wesson Tactical Police Mountain Bike
Now I would never under any circumstances encourage anyone to pretend to be a police officer, but I would certainly encourage anyone interested, including myself, to purchase this police issue mountain bicycle.
To be blunt about it, I want one. Owning this bike puts you in the hot seat and ready to pursue your goals, and hopefully, they'll be legal or healthy ones, but failing that, you'll be riding a super high quality mountain bicycle created with the input of bicycle police across the USA. The frame of this mountain bicycle is aluminum for lightweight durability and speed. It has twenty seven gears, Rock Shox Dart 2 suspension, and is ready for all types of terrain.
Special note, I can not in good conscious recommend fleeing from police on this bicycle either, as if you are pursued by police also on this specially designed for cops mountain bike - those guys peddle all day, so they will catch you!

Some Notes Concerning the Smith And Wesson Police Mountain Bicycle.
is available on amazon.com, however, no price is listed, and according to reviewers the price on amazon fluctuates rather widely, and so they do not list a regular price. The Smith and Wesson Police Bike
I've no idea why the police bike's price would fluctuate, but I'd definitely want to catch it on the low side, wouldn't we all? The bike is mostly raved on in the reviews, but if purchased on amazon, is shipped to the home in a box, and requires assembly. I'm told details are precise, and I'd not be scared of assembling the thing at all, but some persons might do better to purchase a bicycle from a store already ready to hit the trails on. Who wouldn't want one already assembled but the kinds that just love to do such things anyway?
Thanks for reading. I am entirely sincere here in my love of riding mountain bicycles. I don't own anything nearly so nice as either of these, but in time, I will. It is a terrific feeling to ride a bicycle in fair weather, and I'd also recommend that, despite anything else, to anyone physically able and at any time.
