What this Presidential Election Poll is

[Jan. 17, 2013: I froze the polls to record the sentiment of the people at the time before the election. Unfortunately, I accidentally caused deletion of results in 2 questions.]

The Republican National Committee paid to send a poll to my house, and maybe to your house, too. The official, all-caps, title is "2012 PRESIDENTIAL PLATFORM SURVEY". In a beautiful world, this poll would be an inquiry into the will of the people. The honorable statesman behind the survey would then champion the causes of the people for freedom, business, and love (release the doves).

I believe I will speak for most of America (at least those who know more than campaign slogans like "Yes we can" and "Party of yes") in comments following each of the questions in the 2012 platform poll. Please, read on. Answer all the poll questions so we can get a feel for the position of our fellow Americans. And, post a comment at the end.

The real purpose of the poll comes out

The truth about this special honor of selection as representation for "your area" becomes clear after the last question. A small box requesting a donation appears. Convenient check boxes are provided for $35, $50, $70, $100, $250, $500, and "other".

The first section asks you to donate to support Romney. The second requests a donation to "beat Obama". This is probably the real purpose of the poll- to find out if people will vote for Romney or against Obama. What do you think?

The last effort is a bit rude. It refers to the poll as a capital-D "Document" and asks you for $15 to "help" pay for processing your survey. Here is the donation block, below.

This is pretty much standard fare and both political parties engage in it. The idea is to get you riled up and primed for making a donation,

Brenda Durham 4 years ago

Davesworld, I'm sure it is. And indeed if I had the money I'd contribute monetarily! I see nothing wrong with the polls. I for one am glad I receive e-mails and etc. asking me to participate in those polls. The GOP is trying, and that's what they should do. It primes me up to have some hope that we can get that usurper Obama out of Office. Because he isn't even a Democrat! He's something far Left of even that.

Yes, Obama is a socialist. He taught from a book called "Rules for Radicals" for 3 years (some say 4, I don't know). That book was written by a communist party member, Saul Alinsky. Alinsky was also a Satanist. In fact, on page 7 of the book which Obama taught for those years is an accolade to Lucifer, calling him the original rebel, and crediting the devil with defeating God enough to overtake and possess the kingdom of the earth.

So, we can at least say Obama has communist-Satanic influence in his thought, if not more.

Good job! Thanks for this critical information. This next election just might be our last if we fail in the removal of Obama. Voted up and useful...

If anyone would like to read the content of Rules for Radicals, here is the address:

You will quickly recognize many of the tactics Obama has used... and be concerned he is using some of the others, such as "destroy from within" and "hide your true agenda until you gain trust".

Brenda Durham 4 years ago

Very telling, Man from Modesto.

Your link provided information that exposes Obama for the manipulator and stirrer-upper of discontent and division and all the negative things that the Left employs, for what he is. The part where it's explained that they have no specific truth that they adhere to is the most telling. They simply want to change things to be changing them, for their own immoral desires. There's a place in the Bible where manipulation like that is referred to as akin to witchcraft. Indeed, that's true.

Whimsy,

For hundreds of years, they have played the show to effectively allow the majority of us to believe our votes determine the winner. I wonder if that is true even at the level of mayor and town council.

@MfM

I think the general population has pulled back the curtain and sees the corruption behind our political system but many are easily persuaded to believe the phony narratives being spewed out by a corrupted media.

I highly recommend: "Empire of Illusion: The End of Literacy and the Triumph of Spectacle" by Chris Hedges to see how bad things have gotten and what needs to be done to fight all of the lies and BS out there.

J.C. Moore 4 years ago

Thanks for exposing this poll to a wider audience. I received a similar poll less than 2 months ago. I am so concerned about the direction the Republican Party is going that I wrote a criticism of this type of push poll on my website at http://jcmooreonline.com/2012/06/04/the-2012-repub...
