The ANC, Nelson Mandela, CIA and Project MK-Ultra
What Really Happened to Radically Change a Revolutionary Leader to an Apartheid Puppet?
What would it take to break and remake you from your most cherished beliefs and ideals? For most of us, it does not take much to get us to sell out, but a few only crack under excruciating torture. Such was the probable case of Nelson Mandela. On December, 5th, 2013, Nelson Mandela died after a long battle with illness at 95, illness that had been inflicted originally as he was tortured for 27 years, 18 of which were on the notorious Robben Island prison hellhole where he was first locked away, In his youth, in struggle against the oppression of apartheid and injustice, he was a revolutionary leader with links to the communist party via the USSR and Cuba. His objective was to overthrow the white supremacist government in Pretoria and end the brutal injustice of apartheid. During a failed coup attempt, he was arrested for sedition in 1962. He was the founder and leader of the African National Congress (ANC) and worked alongside the African National Communist Party (ANCP). Nelson once held the idea that the black workers must be armed in order to end apartheid, but this later changed to the idea of a disarmed and peaceful appeasement. He married his revolutionary sweetheart in struggle, Winnie, who then became Winnie Mandela. Nelson was eventually betrayed and trapped by a CIA operative and was thrown into prison to live between solitary confinement and torture for life for high treason and sedition. The ANC, Nelson and Winnie were all placed on the terrorist list long before 9-11 and the war on terror had begun. For the last 9 years before release, he spent life in two prisons after 18 years of hard labour on Robben Island where his sight was damaged and he contracted tuberculosis. He nearly died. Then, for some reason, his life sentence was commuted, ostensibly by world populist pressure and he was released a changed man. What happened?
Information about the 27 years of imprisonment, solitary confinement, torture and hard labour are sketchy at best due to a thick wall of censorship and secrecy. But knowing how the CIA in that day would in a climate of anti-communist hysteria at the very height of the cold war as the Cuban Missile Crisis unfolded the very year he was interred, and that the CIA behavioural modification department of MK-Ultra was in full operation, it is not too difficult to surmise that Nelson Mandela was subjected to extreme cruel treatment. The object of MK-Ultra, confirmed in other experiments, is to totally alter a persons mind; in effect, to erase the old personality and its beliefs and substitute a new artificial one more to the liking and objectives of the oligarchs and their state. South Africa as it now stands is legally the holding of the super rich like the Oppenheimers, De-Beers and Rothschilds. It has been that way since the Boer War and ruled with an iron fist until the velvet glove years of Nelson. Nelson went into effect, After prison a revolutionary and accused “Marxist-communist”, not opposed to violence where justified by the actions of a violent and oppressive state, not unlike Malcolm X, came out a whimpering yes man to the apartheid overlords. A smattering of reforms passed by the ANC placated the racist divided country and prevented all out revolution. What in hell happened to the poor man that reversed his whole manner of being and expression, turning him literally inside out, from a die hard, hard-line revolutionary to an uncle tom yes man for the white dominated colonial apartheid state? The existing evidence of the time line suggests MK-Ultra intervention, though on the surface it is impossible to prove under current secrecy and security laws. He was only released in 1990 during rising civil unrest and by 1994, was moved to the head of the state when the ANC won an election in order to quite the unrest.
MK-Ultra draws on a long line of torture techniques going back to the Inquisition and Jesuits of the middle ages down through the centuries to the Nazi regime and finally winding up in the custody of the CIA under G W Bush that ran the program, extending the experience of its forerunners. There is enough damning evidence on the shores of the US alone, where LSD experiments were conducted on unwitting soldiers and mental patients. Experiments were conducted on the battlefield in Vietnam with horrendous results, now depicted in the movie, “Jacob's Ladder”. There were other experiments too, some of which were conducted in Canada, such as upon a woman in Montreal who was in a mental hospital for treatment of depression. She disappeared for years only to reemerge as someone else, remembering nothing of the former life. The treatment eventually wore off and she started having flashbacks to a life out of synch with her new status and memories. She eventually found out the truth to her horror, but got no justice either from the CIA or the collaborating Canadian government. The objective of these experiments was the altering and reshaping of minds by every possible means. MK-Ultra targeted dissidents of all countries, extraditing some under the forerunner of the Extraordinary Rendition program. These were disappeared and experimented upon and some returned later to effect damage to organizations to which they were members. It is quite possible that the CIA rendered Mandela into an MK-Ultra scenario where he was worked on to be rebuilt into a puppet for the white supremacist oligarchs and occupying powers of South Africa. These armed powers existed and still exist to extract resources like diamonds, gold and rare metals for the profit of international super-wealthy.
After release in 1990, Nelson and Winnie had a bitter parting of ways, as Nelson's attitude had changed from a diehard, anti-apartheid revolutionary like Winnie, to an all forgiving collaborating politician for the South African regime. He was eventually elected to president in 1994 as a PR front man for a regime that was still apartheid, but with a spin that things were on the road to healing and change. There were some reforms, but blacks still lacked any real economic clout or say in their own land, much like first nations in the Americas and elsewhere. They were not totally free, as during Nelson's watch, 750,000 unemployed black people were made homeless when the government ploughed down their shanties. Later, after his watch, dozens of unarmed Lonmin mine strikers were mowed down by police during a confrontation in a strike for better working conditions and pay. There are other numerous incidents that prove that apartheid is still in effect, but Nelson's image to the world helped to soften the impact. Thus, the Nelson era served as a major distraction from real issues at his home and abroad. That his presence was supported recorded by every known state, secular and religious power shows the international scope of this deception. There is not one state leader that did not avoid the opportunity to align with the new Mandela. Even Castro and the pope had photo ops with the leader. He is proclaimed as a major spiritual leader, a virtual demigod, in a world awash in brutal wars and oppression.
Nelson has been compared to Gandhi, but whereas Gandhi lived to see the British imperialists leave India, this did not happen in South Africa. The white supremacist government affected their rule through a remade puppet, Nelson Mandela. It is not Nelson's fault in many ways that this happened. In the modern theatre of psy-op warfare, he was very possibly refashioned by CIA operatives through MK-Ultra as a type of Manchurian Candidate and thus the US managed to rule from behind this now hollowed out revolutionary. This first ever elected “first black president” than performed like a trained monkey and figurehead for the wishes of the established colonial power of the white oligarchy in order to suppress popular rebellion and it worked, despite very little change for most of the oppressed. The election of Mandela to the chief of the occupying republic is the forerunner to Kenyan born president Obama's election to the US presidency in 2008. For now, there is a mystery behind the 27 years of internment and what really went down, just there is surrounding the assassination of JF Kennedy, but someday, the truth will come out.
Upon his death, there was world wide, front page news covering of his “heroic life” by a corporate media owned and operated by the oligarchs that censors the real news in the extreme. That this receives international attention is telling in itself when genocides are still going on in Africa that are not reported. Nor does the news report that Africa was targeted by biological warfare with the man-made AIDS virus in a bid to depopulate the country. Now that he is dead, there is a new paradigm and South Africa will now likely be precarious as a long suppressed people are set to detonate into full blown revolt after a long delay. The deceptive side show is now over and after a period of morning that looks more like a celebration is over, the ANC and its likes will likely restart the rebellion. The oligarch rulers of the world sit nervously by watching to see what happens next, especially since the explosions that began with the Arab spring in 2010 and protests around the world owing to post 2008 economic crash austerity for the international working class. Nelson Mandela was a hero, though a nationalist, but he was broken and was used to undo what he fought so hard for by way of self determination for South African blacks free of the oppression of an armed white occupying and racist rule. We ought to remember and learn from this poignant chapter of history and resolve to forge on to establish a truly international grass roots based economic democracy where there is no such thing as a world of nation state apartheid regimes divided one against another under control by terror and oppression by an international elite. What better thing can be done to honour the memory of the once rebelling hero against international oppression and injustice masked as the “war on terror” by the real terrorists? The hour is short and urgent, the situation dire, as oligarchs with the dumbed down, compliant working class continue to rape and destroy the planet. As Nelson Mandela once organized the oppressed, we must do so also!
