The Government Wants Your Kids

Buzzy, The Proverbial Fly on the Wall

Another Unwelcome Surprise!

Good Morning Breakfastpoppers. Today is Monday, February 3, 2014. Our friend, Buzzy, is here today to reveal another aspect of the Unaffordable Care Act that is most distressing. Let's welcome Buzzy in with open hearts and minds,

Hello, my human family. Remember when your President told you that if you liked your health plan, you could keep your health plan? Remember when you learned that the President lied or as he prefers to say, you misunderstand what he said? Remember when the President told you that if you liked your doctor, you could keep your doctor? Remember when you learned that, in actuality, you couldn't keep your doctor? Remember when your President told you that if you met certain criteria, you would be eligible for a government subsidy to help pay for your healthcare?

Not So Fast!

Yes, their is a big caveat about those subsidies. Many parents are unhappily learning that if their children are eligible for Medicaid, they must be covered under that awful program. They cannot be covered on a family health plan purchased on an exchange. If a family's income falls below 200 percent of the federal poverty level, the family will qualify for a subsidy to buy insurance. The children cannot join them on that plan. If the family tries to add them onto their family policy, the big bad government will take away their subsidy. When your President told you that if you liked your kids, you could keep your kids, he didn't mean it.

Another hideous aspect of this rule is that if the family wants to bring the children back on their plan and are willing to forfeit the subsidy, it is extremely difficult to bring the kids back in. This is another prime example of why you should never trust the government when it comes to the welfare of you and your loved ones. More families than I can count have cancelled their policies or had their policies cancelled. They hoped to find cheaper, better insurance. Instead they walked into a nightmare situation. If they were able to access the government website, they soon learned that their children will be tossed into the Medicaid system.

Kiss Them Good-bye...

This may be another glitch, malfunction or snafu, but we may never know because the Obama administration has been relatively mute on the subject. Medicaid is a hideous health care option. Children will not be able to continue to see their regular doctors, because most do not accept Medicaid. Should a child require the expertise of a specialist, the prospects for receiving prompt care are very remote. Needless to say the outlook is very grim for theses families caught in the government's web of lies.

Things are deteriorating rather quickly. In Washington State, for example, children needing the care of specialists at Seattle's Children's Hospital have been denied specialty care due to Obamacare. Insurance providers on the Washington health benefits exchange have denied patients access to quality care. The hospital filed requests on behalf of 125 of their patients. Out of the 125 cases, the hospital only received 20 responses. Eight of these responses were denials.

The Silence is Deafening!

I wonder if anyone in your Congress regrets not reading this fiasco, called the Affordable Care Act, before it was foisted on the American people. I wonder if any of the members of Congress who voted for this bill are sorry now. I wonder if they are even thinking about it at all. Clearly, your President wants to move on. The fact that anyone is still complaining is the fault of Fox News. It couldn't possibly be the fault of an intrusive and manipulative government. Families are suffering through cataclysmic change when it comes to their healthcare and all the President can say is that the kinks will be straightened out. Most people in Washington have turned a blind eye and a deaf ear to the plight of the people. It reminds this fly of the old and soon to be resurrected Soviet Union!

I will leave you with these words:

Fly me to the moon

And let me get real health care

Things must be better up there

Staying here is just too hard to bear!

Buzzy - Your analysis of the Obamacare takes me back to my days in the corporate world.

We experienced a time when the upper management ranks was populated with individuals we labeled as "fast trackers." They made decisions and changes that earned them huge bonus's and hero badges knowing they would be moving on before the negative results became known.

It sure looks like nothing in the Obamacare plan was well planned or thought out with the rush to achieve a political goal. This was jammed down our throats based on lies and political motivations by those on the left.

They wanted a legacy and by gosh they now own Obamacare if they like it or not. I think many Americans learned the lesson about being careful what you wish for because you might get it.

Good Morning Mike,

I have always believed that once you get more than 2 people together to solve a problem, you get chaos. Obamacare is the result of getting hundreds of people together who can't find their way out of a paper bag, much less solve a problem! See you at the Inn. It's snowing like crazy. This global warming is unbelievable!

POP: It has taken a month for the results of having Obamacare to come out. I have been looking for it, as the computer problems are small potatoes compared to the results of having this insurance coverage. 125 Cases with only 20 responses? Who is in charge of this? Who is making the decisions? Why is it taking so long to get a response? Too many questions, and no answers! It is sickening (no pun intended). I'm off to the bar for some quiet time. Need to get my blood pressure down, and that happens at the Inn. Buzzy can land on my wine glass! Save me a seat.....

Good Morning Pino,

The site is a failure, the program is a disaster and no one should be surprised by all the ugly surprises in a bill that was outrageously long and convoluted. The kids that I talked about will be under the strong arm of the government which is exactly where they want us all to be. I don't remember the exact figure but quite a few Navigators in California are convicted felons! Our government at its best for sure. See you at the Inn. Dress warm, it's snowing again. Buzzy will join you on your glass. He's delighted!

Pop and Buzzy,

Anyone who studied the details of Obama acolyte Zeke Emanuel's Whole Lives System (on which Obamacare is based) won't be surprised. It put's very little value of young life or old life.

I don't use it and don't have any little kids...moot point for this guy...I would love to see just one cause that could unite the people of this country into action instead of a whole lot of complaining without action.....we have been giving away our rights and allowing this type of nonsense for far too long, but because of complacency we have let it continue...time for revolution.

Good Morning billybuc,

Yes, it's a whole lot of talk and no action. I am speaking of Congress of course along with the rest of the nation. Until people become invested in their own present and future this sick stuff will just escalate. See you at the Inn where people are invested.

The 'crisis' the left used to justify all this was a sham. Lots of the uninsured were illegal aliens, Another big chunk were healthy young Americans who didn't really need coverage. Some were self-insured.

Now we learn that those who always just used the ER are still going to use the ER, because that way, they get treatment immediately and free of charge! Why bother with all the hassle of getting insurance and making doctor appointments when you can just go to the emergency room and get treated right away?

So now, our entire healthcare system is upside down because the Democrats, instead of just insuring those who actually needed and wanted it (less than 10 million), roped all of us into a poorly conceived disaster that costs far more and delivers far less.

Remember who forced all this on us when the November midterm elections roll around. It was 100% Democrats!

Dear Will,

If Americans forget that when it's time to vote, we will be lost forever. Obama destroyed the greatest system in the world in order to put us all under the thumb of big government. I'm off to the Inn by dogsled!

Thanks Buzzy, for keeping us up-to-date on all the sad shenanigans. As you well know, Obama has actually said that the "end justifies the means." Well, that's one statement he has honored, unfortunately. His dream for a New World order is coming into being. At this point, we can only hope and pray that Americans start acting like Americans and vote, "Enough." "Let's oust' this pretender and not replace him with another." But even then, it would be a long upward battle to undo this horrible mess, if it's even possible after two more years of this "administration."

Pop, we have to sign up for this program soon. But, I we are not in agreement with all it offers (does it offer anything at all?). Hopefully, we can find alternative insurance so that we can pass on the government issued coverage. Good thing we do not have any kids to give away at this time!

Good Morning savvydating,

From your words to voter's ears. I would think, at this point, that even the most originally ardent supporter of the impostor and chief sees the writing on the wall. He came to change America into his communist father's dream. Enough is enough! See you at the Inn. I'll get there by dog sled!

Good Morning teaches,

If you lost the insurance you had and liked then there really is no choice. The program is flawed, inconsistent and wrong for America. Until something concrete is done, we all have to grimace and bear it. See you at the Inn.

Buzzy, some of us knew this was going to be bad health care. It's too bad the crooks in congress didn't. See you at the inn later.
