The UN, Climate Change and Our Money

Beetle Belle is at the Table

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Tuesday, November 3, 2015. Our brightly colored friend, Beetle Belle, is at the breakfast table this morning. She is planning to fly to Paris to attend the UN Climate Change Summit. Belle has learned something quite important by reading page 19 of the 34 page climate treaty document that was drafted by the UN. Please join Belle and me for croissants and expresso. Belle wants to run a few things by you before she takes off for Paris. We hope to see you soon.

Going for the Gold

Thank you for joining me this morning. The United Nations is calling for the establishment of a global Supreme Court charged with ruling on issues such as climate finance, technology transfers and climate justice. Clearly, climate issues are no longer about climate, but are instead, all about money and the transfer of wealth. Imagine the consequences of an International Tribunal of Climate Justice having the power to rule on cases of non-compliance on the part of developed countries. The mere thought of it sends shivers up my spine. If you haven't heard anything about this, don't be too hard on yourself. The mainstream media has decided that you and I have no need to know about the goings on at the UN, so they have remained mum on the subject. It is evident that the MSM is in love with the notion of global warming and head over heels in love with the notion of transferring wealth from the United States to third world countries as a form of punishment. The fools in the media and the administration who support this move by the UN will plead ignorance when the results of UN involvement in our lives becomes painfully evident. There are many in government who will cheer such a Court. There are also many others who will never read the fine print , and in the end they will sell America to the highest bidder out of complete ignorance.

A Marxist Beginning

If you are wondering where this not so brilliant idea came from, turn to Bolivia's President Evo Morales. He takes his rhetoric right out of the teachings of Mao-Tse-tung and the world seems to approve of it all. Morales told delegates who attended the Conference on Sustainable Development in 2012 that capitalism is a new colonialism. Translation for this remark goes like this. Morales calls for the end of the capitalist system. That aim is pretty straightforward. The rest of the garbage being spewed by this movement is inane. The bottom line for this agenda is the transfer of wealth from countries like the U.S. to poorer countries. The establishment of this Supreme Court will give the lunatics the power to enforce their demands. This push towards a one world government is frightening. People like George Soros would love to see this impossible bad dream come to fruition. The United Nations would live to see a one world government in the not so distant future. President Obama does't seem very alarmed by all this talk. In fact, all he talks about is climate change. With ISIS breathing death around the world, our esteemed leader sees climate change as the gravest threat to mankind. In my view the gravest threat to mankind is man.

Source

Just Say No

I don't know what countries are going to sign on to this proposed treaty, but they had better be aware of what they are actually calling for. If they are in favor of a huge redistribution of wealth, than this is their cup of tea. If they want to give up their sovereignty, this treaty is a dream come true. If they don't believe in this scheme they had better make their objections known. Better yet, they ought to pull out of this buffoon of an organization called the United Nations. The premise of climate change enforcement is ludicrous. Essentially, the powers that be want to strip nations like the Untied States of their wealth and give it to poorer countries. With the added wealth, the poorer nations can develop technology that will pollute the world! It really isn't about the quality of our air, it is all about the transfer of wealth. The movement should be called " Power Change" because it is evident that climate down't have a damn thing to do with it.

Belle's Song

Climate change, climate change

The whole year through

It's an old tired song

Gone on far too long......

Anything the UN wants to do, and is supported by Obumma, is a bad idea. If we go along, we will no longer be a sovereign nation. We are now distributing wealth to illegals already in the country. We will now distribute wealth to illegals who will not have to bother to come here. We will just send our wealth to where they live. Nice.

Good morning Patti.

Much of this comes from people thinking that if they can't have what you have, then they want the government to take yours away from you. They will never be happy until everyone in the world except the ruling classes are dirt poor and starving. In their minds that is the only fair thing to do.

Climate change has been proven to be false many times, but too many are getting rich off promoting the horrors we will face due to to global warming.

With millions sworn to behead anyone who doesn't follow their religion should we really be that worried about what the temperature will be on the day they cut our heads off?

The UN is a joke that should have been done away with many years ago.

The obvious proof that there is no man made global warming is that Obama wants you to buy into it. Anything a pathological liar promotes is a LIE.

To celebrate more than two decades of dire predictions, The Daily Caller News Foundation presents this list of some of the “greatest” predictions made by scientists, activists and politicians — most of which we’ve now passed.

Since the UN was formed they have done such a stellar job in the world of politics and war. So why not expand the UN to the rest of the issues.

sorry, wait a minute, I have to expel those statements violently.

Even if the countries and the people are responsible for making the environment bad, we have no idea on what to do to make it better.

We know how to start a war, but we don't know how to resolve a war.

Why doesn't the UN start out small like trying to cure cancer? Then work up to the environment based on their success in solving but a single problem.

It reminds me of the old time doctor that was fat, smoked, and not in good shape telling the patient to lose weight, stop smoking, and exercise.

Where did the UN come up with the idea that they have actually had success in anything that they have messed with?

Another disastrous move that will cost billions and accomplish nothing, except to make our country weaker and the people in it more dependent upon the elitists at the top. It is Marxism, and Obama is pushing for this horrible idea.

The UN and its IPCC have publicly stated that the remedy for 'climate change' is income redistribution:

So when Obama said on twitter:

"Climate change is not a hoax. More droughts and wildfires are not a joke. They're a threat to your future."—President Obama

He was right, it's not a hoax, it's income redistribution and and that's the "threat to your future." lol you can't make this stuff up.

Even Tol, probably the world’s leading environmental economist and a lead author of a United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change working group, argues, current and past climate policies have only served to make most people a little poorer while benefiting those in politically favored industries or with connections to powerful politicians.

Guess Obama's not a fan of his.

IPCC Lead Author: 25 Years Of Failed Global Warming Policies Have Made Us Poorer

http://dailycaller.com/2015/11/03/ipcc-lead-author...

But then Obama says:

OBAMA: LEADERS WHO JOKE ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE ARE ‘NOT FIT TO LEAD’

Well ‘NOT FIT TO LEAD’ IS something Obama knows a lot about, he IS an expert on that topic.

I had made a comment before the MIA, that appears to be missing in action.

It is superfluous now to all the good comments that appeared after it.

A good use for the UN would be to save the rainforest, as it has biological wealth for possible medical cures that we wouldn't be able to develop on our own.

As far as UN and world politics, zero usefulness.

It boggles my mind that so many intelligent people fell for this junk science of global warming (climate change). It has set the scientific world back 50 years. It is also one of those false narratives that have tremendous impact on all of us especially the poor. Think of all the resources spent on combating "global warming"... what could have been done to improve our world (hunger, disease, environment, clean water clean air...)

tsadjatko profile image

tsadjatko 13 months ago from maybe (the guy or girl) next door

The scientific community has to keep the scam of man made global warming (and myriads of other worthless research projects) alive to provide a continuous source of job security and salaries (like government money scammed from taxpayers) for so called "scientists" who care less about science and the truth than their jobs and pocket books.

The UN charter commits the organization to, among other things, “promote social progress and better standards of life in larger freedom,” to “reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person, in the equal rights of men and women and of nations large and small” and to “save succeeding generations from the scourge of war.”

Given the scope of that ambition, we shouldn’t be surprised that the UN has produced major failures and given that, their successes could certainly have been obtained outside the UN organized as we all know.

UN agencies have done much to promote and protect health and well being around the world. UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund, draws donations from governments and private donors to serve the needs of children and mothers in developing countries. It feeds more than 80 million people each year, has helped more than 2.6 billion people gain access to clean water and has brought new vaccines to more than 400 million of the world’s children. The World Health Organization, the specialized agency of the UN that helps governments manage public health crises and fight both communicable and non-communicable diseases, was the main driver behind the eradication of smallpox, an accomplishment that probably saved 150 million lives.

So keep these agencies but get rid of the UN!

The UN does much to aid refugees but in the category of "saving succeeding generations from the scourge of war” FAIL! It’s one thing to help the refugees; it’s another to prevent the wars that put them at risk. In Rwanda in 1994, UN peacekeepers failed to stop the initial slaughter of Tutsis by Hutus, and the eventual result was a genocide that claimed the lives of 800,000 Rwandans—about 10 percent of the country’s population. The UN can’t claim that the carnage was unexpected. A Canadian general serving as part of a UN peacekeeping force cabled a warning that horror was on the horizon. The UN Secretariat failed to act on those warnings.

When you mention UN all that comes to my mind is scandal after scandal. There just isn't any accountability there! In 1996, the UN “Oil for Food” program to allow Saddam Hussein’s sanctioned government to sell limited amounts of oil through the UN to provide the Iraqi people with food and other necessities was used by Saddam’s government to draw about $1.8 billion in illicit income. About 85 percent of that total came through kickbacks on the sale of humanitarian goods. Most of the rest was derived from surcharges paid on oil contracts. For many years, UN peacekeepers have been accused of sexual assault or exploitation, particularly in Africa. Current Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon spoke forcefully on the issue before he took up his post. While the UN has acknowledged nearly 500 more incidents of sexual misdeeds committed by peacekeepers during Ban’s tenure, Ban has done little about it. Only this year did he for the first time remove a commanding officer.

Recently, human rights groups sued the UN after evidence emerged that peacekeepers had triggered a cholera outbreak in Haiti that has killed nearly 10,000 people and sickened hundreds of thousands more by dumping human waste into Haiti’s largest river in October 2010. A U.S. judge threw out the lawsuit earlier this year because the UN Charter provides its representatives with legal immunity, no accountability.

Eight men have served as UN Secretary-General. One lied about membership in a Nazi youth organization and the details of his service to the German army during World War II. Its leaders often emerge from within the system they are expected to reform. Perez de Cuellar served in various capacities within the UN for more than a decade before becoming secretary-general. Kofi Annan spent nearly 30 years within the UN before assuming the top job. With a UN career that began in 1975, Ban Ki-moon played multiple roles within the organization before succeeding Annan in 2007, after spending a couple of years as foreign minister of S. Korea. Sounds like a "good ole boy" club to me, never a thought to getting leadership from outside the organization!
