Some forms of Torture

The Seeming Ageless Class Divided Demonic World System

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” Jeremiah 17:9,10;

Warning: The following is not suitable for the faint of heart of those with a weak stomach!

Torture is by no means new. It has been recorded in the Bible and other world scriptures. We have been told and are told that it is used for information extraction, but little useful information comes from it. What is true instead is that the public display of such techniques is very useful in instilling fear and maintaining compliance even under the most brutal of conditions. That brutal conditioning is done to keep a large population servile in the midst of extreme repression and oppression. Torture is of two main types which target the body and the mind. Sometimes they are used in combination. Show torture is the most useful and the Roman empire was very adept at this and this has been passed on via the Holy Roman church through the Jesuits, the Holy Inquisitors down to repressive regimes like the Nazi regime right to the 21st century when most people think we should have evolved beyond such techniques of mass control. But, since we still live in a class divided world of exploiters and exploited, that division has to be justified and kept alive and it is accomplished by a number of means. Ignorance is one method. Religious and mythic teachings are another. Manufacturing crises is yet another and then there is torture, which is used both physically and mentally. Indeed, the quote taken from Jeremiah is appropriate given what we see going on. On the one hand is denial and on the other, the practice; covert and overt.

Traditionally and today it has been revealed that Syria has been and is still using systematic torture. It is one place where the US has and likely still outsources for its market for torture. Syria is by no means the only place as every now and then something slips out, such as from Guantanamo Bay or Al Ghahib, which are only scratching the surface of what is really is going on. Then there are the numerous reports from Central and South America during the 1970s and 80s. People do not necessarily have to see the torture, just be aware of it such as from screams heard in the night eminating from a hospital, prison or sports arena. Beaten bodies are sometimes dumped in a highly visible manner on streets or from planes to drive home the point to anyone who happens to see it and then spread the news. But when the established order feels threatened, then public torture will then be used as a deterrent. This is a historic and contemporary fact.

Physical torture uses, but is not limited to the following techniques;

  • Beatings to all parts of the body

  • Hair pulling or pulling hair out

  • Cigarettes being stubbed out on body

  • Flesh gouged by pliers

  • Victim forced into the inside of a vehicle tire

  • Falaqa, or beating on the soles of the feet while suspended and bound

  • Flogging with cat-o-nine tails

  • Victim strapped face up on a folding wooden board and folded

  • Victim hung up by manacled wrists with the arms positioned behind them

  • Crucifixion using ropes or nails, often used in combination with other torture methods

  • Burning at the stake or burning clothes on the victim, use of kerosene, caustics, napalm burning on skin, etc.

  • Water boarding

  • Use of carbon dioxide fire extinguishers to effect local freezing

  • Crushing body parts with hammers and vices

  • Impact attacks on sexual organs

  • Prolonged sleep deprivation

  • The rack – stretching the body beyond limits of the ligaments and skeleton.

  • Foot crushing in a foot vice

  • Hobbling by severing the Achilles tendon

  • Stress positions; hours on tiptoe etc.

  • Hypothermia and hyperthermia

  • Sexual violence including forced anal examination

  • Electric shocks from car batteries or high voltage to all parts of the body

  • Electric chair torture

  • Having unpleasant matter such as salt, ash, feces, urine for a combination thereof forced into the mouth

  • Denial of needed medical care

  • Deprivation of fresh air, clean water, food and use of toilet for prolonged periods

  • Force feeding to the point of excruciating pain using a funnel and stomach tube.

  • Medical experimentation

  • Pulling out of nails or shoving sharp objects under them

  • Boiling water inserted into the rectum or being poured on the arms, legs, torso or face

  • Acid or caustic material being placed anywhere on the body

  • The use of or threat of using hungry rats, insects like mosquitoes or other small animals to devour parts of the body

  • Use of disease organisms

  • Including of poisons in foods like purgatives and the like

  • Disemboweling

  • Skinning alive

  • eye gouging

  • eardrum piercing or concussing the ears with a violent slap

  • Use of firecrackers tied to the victim

  • Impaling on a stake

  • Use of power tools like drills and saws for boring and minor amputations

  • Forced sleeping on broken glass, barbed wire or concertina wire

  • The use of vehicles like tanks or trucks to run over victims or the dropping of live victims from planes. (This technique is clearly used to intimidate the masses such as happened under Pinochet in Chile)

  • Victim bound and tied, suspended upside down and struck with bats or swung violently into walls.

  • “Tiger cages” keeping victims under water for prolonged periods with only the head above water

  • Use of harassing military gasses like phosgene, white phosphorus and CS gas. (Mass pepper spraying of dissenters is an extension of this and occurred frequently all over N. America in 2011)

Mental torture uses, but is not limited to the following techniques and sometimes the threat of physical torture engages the victim to mentally torture themselves;;

  • Threats of rape

  • Threatening the victims via relatives, family and children being raped, tortured and killed before the victim

  • Forced to watch the rape of another detainee, like wife, children, friends

  • Confinement in solitary for prolonged periods

  • Forced performing of obvious useless hard labour, such as moving piles of rocks from one place to another and back again

  • Subjection to noise or loud music 24 hours a day

  • Russian roulette

  • Denigrating religious beliefs with burning of sacred texts etc.

  • Denigrating victim with obscene language and insults and then physically assaulting because of being Jewish, gay, black, gypsy, Muslim, Christian, a witch or whatever

Why torture? The question is not so hard to answer except by those who use it to force the will of another human being and is in denial of that evil. Torture is also used routinely on animals and only animal rights people seem to complain about that. There is very little reason to torture an animal unless it is pet of a victim undergoing mental torture. But even that is not justifiable in the final analysis. The reason for torture is by way of engendering mass fear and thus crowd control. It is used by what is called, the very worst of regimes. It is part of war and conquest. Within the context of imperialist Rome, crucifixion was the chosen method to gain fear compliance of slaves and dominated peoples. The centurion was the person who administered the discipline on pain of receiving the same for non compliance. Crucifixion was written up in several of the Biblical Gospels and Letters. Crucifixion is a technique that has survived for over two thousand years and is in use today. Throughout history, torture has changed and evolved. Not all methods have been used continually. Some are new, such as Russian roulette and shock treatment with electricity. Others, such as impaling on a stake and burning at the stake, have fallen out of use.

The important consideration in all of this is that torture gains very little by way of useful information. This is confirmed by source after source. Often innocent people are caught up in the naming blame game of torture results. The important thing here is that visible dissenters are arrested, rounded up and then tortured in a quasi public or fully open manner to create the condition of fear in followers or the general public. It is important that part of the proceedings are televised or that people can hear the screams and see the results when tortured and tortured to death people are dumped onto the public streets or dropped by plane into the same streets, farmers fields or nearby rivers for all to see. The latter point has been demonstrated in the context of recent history in South and Central America. Under such circumstances, it was and is useless to complain to the police as they are the ones along with the military who perpetrate these deeds. Torture became so common in the context of political and economic re-engineering of society that in some countries, people refused to leave home in broad daylight to procure food, choosing to go hungry instead. Of course, this kind or oppression is unsustainable in the long term as the result would end in the collapse of a regimes sustaining base, the oppressed masses who finally explode in open revolution and visit on the oppressors, that which they suffered. Eventually, people have to leave home to obtain food or go to work. Torture is a sickness that pervades modern class divided society, where the rulers in fear of losing their power and wealth, create mass fear through the terror of torture. There is not one country, political regime, society or location that is guiltless of this crime. It will take the dissolution of class division to bring an end to this long standing evil. It will also require some form of spiritual awakening across the breadth of humanity.

It was ever so, and most likely it will ever be so.

Thanks for the reminder that there is a big bad world that exists outside of our bubble.

Some of the worse tortures have , however, been perpretated by those who were claiming to be gettig rid of the class system.

It seems that 'the more things change, the more they stay the same'.
