The "Untruth" About Obamacare

The Doctor Is Out!

It's sad to watch the Democrats begin to feast on each other concerning Obama and his signature piece of legislation. Even when they are attacking their "across the aisle friends" you can see the anguish that their theater is projecting concerning having to face their constituents in November 2014. There was a virtual bloodbath in 2010 over the passage of this fiasco we know now as Obamacare. I see 2014 being a repeat of that off year election.

Even the Lame Stream Media is beginning the long awaited wake up call. Some things even it can't ignore and this is one of them. I've said for five (5) years that Barack Hussein Obama is a pathological liar. He is either that or the most ill informed person who has ever occupied the White House and needs to be evicted as soon as practical. The sad thing is that, in the case of most pathologicals, he actually believes what his teleprompter is feeding him. This latest instance of the his lying monologues stacking about about his snake oil sales pitch concerning Obamacare is really a bit over the top.

It Is Now Upon Us!

I hope you realize how he sold the snake oil and wrapped it in lies and front end goodies. The front end goodies came before his re-election bid in 2012. Admit it and suck it up for once in your miserable life if you fell for it. You were stupid. So what it happens. If we had been faced with what we see now as Obamacare rolls out onto the show room floor Obama would be selling pencils on the street corner right now. Instead he remains to do more damage.

Obamacare suddenly transformed itself in ObamaShock and people are starting to say, "Well none of this is what he said it was going to be." People who say that have never been paying attention because the majority off his rhetoric is make believe America.

Liberals are claiming that everyone should have "got the fact" that this transition to a government take over of our health care system wasn't going to go smoothly. All I can tell a liberal talking head is that it should NEVER have happened in the first place. They also need to know that the more they tell us how we're going to love it the more idiotic they appear to be.

The fact is that Obama wasn't even close to telling the American public the truth about "what was in the bill." He sold the nation a bill of goods that is going to cost us tons of tax dollars and maybe bankrupt the nation in the process if we don't get it repealed.

Did he ever mention that millions of people would lose the insurance plans they were happy with? No he said the exact opposite thing. Did he ever say that his program would double and triple premiums and deductibles in order to meet the "new mandated requirements" of ObamaShock? No he did not. In fact, he told us premiums would go down. Now only an ignoramus would believe you can insure 30 million people and it cost nothing. That's called a free lunch and there is no such thing.

Oh and he told us how wonderful it was going to be creating jobs. That's a real lip mover for Obama that is a dead giveaway that he's telling lies. The opposite has occurred and our economy is becoming a part-time job economy as a reaction to all of his nonsense. Tack on the deficit reduction lie and you'll maybe get my point. Obama is a pathological liar who will say anything in order to get his socialistic ways.

I take extreme offense when the President of this nation blatantly lies and misleads the public and then am flabbergasted that so many of my fellow citizens act like sheeple. He plays to low information voters so well. Capitalism is what it is and in order to believe Obama every single tenant of the system has to be discarded. Obama is not a capitalist nor does he embrace the economics of what we hold dear. His modus operandi is to drop billions upon billions of our dollars on government mandates on the health care industry. Now think about that for a minute.

His tactic is to try to reinvent and define "insurance" as something it never will be. In order to make it what he wants to make it "healthy" people are going to take it up the wazoo. You young people catching on yet what he, along with his Democratic cronies, have put upon your backs? Healthy people have enjoyed modest premiums for modest coverage (the type they need and prefer) but no longer will that be the case. Why? Because Obama lied to you over and over again and you believed it.

What I see is that our educational system has failed us again if that many people are stupid enough to not recognize what is apparent to those of us who have actually been educated. That is a said commentary to go along with the total incompetence known as Barack Hussein Obama. It's always someone else's fault when something he tried to do falls falt. Many of us saw this coming back in 2009 and 2010. Some of you were too busy to see how you were about to be screwed.

This next election we need to change some of this hoodwinking around again. It happened last when /carter left office. This will be worse by 10 fold due to Obama's incompetence and the Democratic party embracing his follies. Fraud itself was perpetrated on the American electorate and hopefully we are smart enough to turn this around and preserve the Republic.

Do you suppose he honestly believed he would not be caught in these lies when this monster was launched. I'm sure all vacations, holidays, and time off has been canceled for his damage control team. They are trying to find a believable way to tell us that what we thought we heard him say was not what we heard.

We might be better off offering him a no-bid contract to go play golf for the next 3 years, as long as he has no contact with anyone in DC.

Sobering thought that our gallant leader wants our education to fail so more rely on gov. and less can analyze. The making of a social pygmy state that needs socialism.

Jim, read a few hubs from the other side and you will find many still praising this great "Free" healthcare this god-like man has provided. Who would have ever thought the word "Free" would become the most important word in our vocabulary.

The lack of knowledge and awareness of a huge percentage of our citizens is frightening. This administration is not only aware of this ignorance, they take full advantage of the situation. Man-in-the-street interviews a few days ago found that many could not identify Harry Reid or John Boehner from their pictures. Not like these two have been in the news this year where they just might have seen them on TV.

I'm thinking this ignorance and apathy of our citizens is the thing that will finally destroy this country. Even if the media wakes up and starts reporting the truth, these uninformed voters will never see or hear any of it. They just don't show this kind of stuff on the cartoon channel.

Obama is used to lying with impunity. He started out lying about his past and he continues all the way through. It took all this time for some in the LSM to feel compelled to call him out. It seems that way too many people in the media and in the general population would have made excellent jurors during the OJ trial. Every day as more bad news rolls out I ask myself, "what more do people need to hear and happen" for them to understand what a dangerous fraud the occupant of the Oval office is? Great writing... Up and useful in the right hands.

Jim, yeah this whole thing is a train wreck, as per Max Baucus but let's not forget the main thing - this is exactly what was planned. Make this public/private system so cumbersome that everyone will soon be screaming for single payer, government only healthcare. That's the point at which we'll really be screwed. This is just one more prong in Obama's pitchfork to totally destroy the country he hates so much. And the Old Poolman has it right - there are still millions of brain dead Americans who see this clown as some kind of messiah. I fear a large percentage of the population won't figure this fraud out until they're starving and living on the streets with Aunt Zatuti. Of course when that time comes these marxists will figure out a way to blame the republicans for that too. Third party anyone?

Now, Frog, don't be so quick to jump to conclusions; after all, we don't want to sully all those other pathological liars, now do we? You see, it's easy to appear as one if you are obtuse and are continually saying, "I didn't know anything a bout it." or "Nobody informed me of that." of "That was Bush's fault." And now it is Sebelius' fault, or it's the fault of those 4 Generals I had to get rid of.

But getting down to the brass tacks of all of 0vomit's days in office, it has been nothing but lies told to people with "itching ears". Our people really have no one to blame but themselves because they would rather jump in the fire and believe a lie, then stand on the ground and hear the truth.

Let's consider our erstwhile reporters. If you remember at the very beginning of his endless term of office, he would throw out those news people who irritated him with pointed questions. He couldn't answer their questions, so he threw them out, saving only those who would print and suck up to his lies, and appointed a spokes person because he was too illiterate, and too tongue-tied to respond to tough questions.

If people were smart, they would have tarred and feathered this fake and run him out of town on a rail a very long time ago. But rather than confront this head on, we''re hoping for a miracle, and the way this country has gone morally, that's like asking to have a snowball fight in hell.

Still, we must persist in our efforts to inform and expose the lies, so kudos to you, my friend, but we must always remember that a much finer Master's hand is in all of this. America shall pay for its sins!

Oh yes there is "free" but it comes at a VERY,VERY HIGH PRICE-enslavement and ownership by the POWERS THAT BE. Dependency is indeed a sad thing. So many lost souls refuse to realize this. When one is given something, he/she is OWNED. However when one is independent and makes his/her way, he/she OWNS his/her life!

Stu 3 years ago

Now that I AM losing the insurance I like, I get to buy a similar plan on the VT Exchange for about the same price with an OOP that's DOUBLE what I have when my current plan is eliminated on 1/1. And this ignores other risks, like reduced fee caps that may lead to balance billing because doctors will stop taking assignments (think Medicare), as well as premium loads I may have to pay because of income level. You're right; we HAVE been lied to.

From my piehole (how crude). No I'm not joking. You guys are really in a bubble if you think there's nothing to the other side's view. "Enslavement and and ownership by the powers that be"? Give me a break! Sure Obama claimed that no one would have to leave their present insurance and that was wrong but the truth is that, in those cases, the exchanges really will give them better health coverage. What about the right's claims of "death panels", and that the government is going to take over health care. Those were lies. Obamacare is about creating exchanges so everyone can get the deals that big companies and organizations get now. This is not the government taking over healthcare, it's the government using it's size to secure the same advantages that big companies do. It's about getting insurance to people who can't get it now and it's about making those that don't pay for insurance pay their share. Obama care does not provide government insurance. It enables you to buy commercial insurance at reasonable rates. I know probably none of you will read this but here a link:

Rogers, you really don't deserve an answer when you give such blatantly bogus arguments but I'll take just one and leave the rest to someone who has nothing better to do if they want to debunk you. Obama didn't just claim that no one would have to leave their present insurance, he promised multiple times in public for over 3 years that people who liked their health insurance would be able to keep it, if they liked their doctor they'd be able to keep him (period), all the while the Obama admin. knew millions could not keep their health insurance. That was not just wrong it was an insult to those who knew he was lying (including himself), it was a betrayal of the public's trust in a President and proves that Obama cares not one iota about his constituents and will impose upon them any inconvenience necessary if it insures his ability yo gain power over them. And the truth is NOT that, in those cases, the exchanges really will give them better health coverage because what they are giving them is insurance they don't need, with benefits they will never use (and don't want) with higher co pays and higher deductibles and are making them pay more for it .. if not now in some cases definitely in the future as these companies are on record that they intend to raise premiums substantially in coming years once these policies are in place.

Next? Someone inform this boob about death panels.

Simply allowing people to buy their health insurance from out-of-state companies would have reduced prices. It would have been much cheaper, and probably better, to fix the old system than to throw it out and replace it with Obmacare.

I would have thought that by now we would be hearing more outrage regarding the huge amount of money spent on the Obamacare website. But so far, I guess nobody but me cares about that.

Cavuto just interviewed two men, one whose plan was dropped by Blue Shield and offered a replacement plan at $1208/ month compared to what he was paying $228/month (if he had less than $ 62,040 income their premium would have been $386/month still a 70% increase).

Highmark cancelled the other guy in PA who was paying $1041/month offering another plan for $1450 with comparable coverage. Both said their plans were not sub par, the one guy had a fully comprehensive plan and the other guy was a licensed medical insurance agent. Cavuto said these two guys were more like the norm not the exceptions to what was going on. When the video is available I'll post it.

Having been the "victim" of ruthless insurance companies, there are a few things I actually like about Obamacare. Eliminating the pre-existing condition restriction and no cap on payments. I have had friends with cancer who used up their limit and were left on their own to pay the rest of the bills. They ended up having to declare bankruptcy.

Companies reducing employees to less than 30 hours per week is a major concern. Many liberals still deny this is happening but I could provide them with phone numbers of some who have been cut to part time they could talk with.

The unknown monthly cost and the increased deductibles are a major concern. The question on how many doctors and hospitals will accept the reduced payments is still up in the air. This whole thing was poorly thought out with no regard to the collateral damage that would be caused by this new law. Then with help from the Supreme Court, they shoved it down our throats before all but just a few even knew what was included.

I still believe we could have taken steps to repair the old system with more positive results than we will ever see from Obamacare.

tsadjatko profile image

tsadjatko 3 years ago from maybe (the guy or girl) next door

Of course - the way to "fix" the old system was to try measure after measure gradually and only take more measures as the "fixes" work or don't - it can't be done with an overhaul like Obamacare which no intelligent person would ever propose as Dr. Ben Carson said. They could have started with tort reform and allowing insurance companies to offer their products over state lines to increase competition and reducing costs just for starters. "The problem of covering Americans with pre-existing conditions is certainly real, but the notion that the only way to solve it is through a massive transformation of America's health-care system--one that will increase costs, raise taxes, displace millions of the happily insured, create a new entitlement, and undermine our private insurance sector--is simply wrong." There are intelligent ways of dealing with pre-existing conditions. http://www.aei.org/article/health/healthcare-refor...

So by any analysis this Ovomitcare is not the solution or even close to fixing our healthcare system (actually will make everything worse) - and any intelligent person with a knowledge of our healthcare problems and how to fix them would have to agree if they are being honest. Good luck with finding that kind of person in the leadership of the contemporary Democrat party when the chief qualification for leadership is the willingness to lie, not the ability to lie and get away with it but just the willingness to lie and even lie about lying.

Old Poolman profile image

Old Poolman 3 years ago from Rural Arizona

tsadjatko - I have mixed feelings on the pre-existing conditions issue. We all know we can't buy a wrecked car, take out an insurance policy, and then ask our insurer to fix the wrecked car.

You are absolutely correct that allowing insurance companies to sell across state lines would have solved many issues and dropped the costs. I keep hearing about the huge amount of money lost to medicare fraud, but don't recall anyone being arrested and prosecuted for this fraud. I also hear about people that review their hospital bills in detail and complain to Medicare about charges for services they didn't receive. One in particular was billed for a prosthetic leg she knew darn well she didn't get. Nothing was done about it and Medicare paid for the leg.

I had to come back to say this: Consider the following - They have spent $360,000,000 dollars just to introduce 0vomitcare to the public. There is a total population in America of 317,000,000 people. Now what if they had just given every person in America $1,000,000 dollars instead? They would have saved $43,000,000 right off the bat!

tsadjatko profile image

Annette, you forgot - the government would have to take back about 40% of the 317,000,000 in income tax or approximately 126,000,000 so add that to the 43,000,000 they saved and the treasury actually saves 169,000,000. To actually give each citizen $1,000,000 they would have to spend 792,500,000 so they would argue that is twice as expensive as the Ovomitcare rollout.

Senator Max Baucus (D., Mont.) compared the bungled Obamacare rollout to the clumsy Humpty Dumpty (after he called it a train wreck) Don't worry, King Obama will fix Humpty Dumpty Care.

The fact that he has never had to "Grind" anything out in his entire life would indicate someone else gave him this term to use. In his mind, you take full credit for every success, and blame somebody else for all failures.

He got wise the "Blame Bush" was worn out and people were tired of hearing that statement. So this may be his way of accepting responsibility by saying we will grind it out. I wonder if the "We" includes "Him?"

Mike - Interesting that you use the word "fact." I just finished writing this perspective about using facts.

Here is a fact:

In September 2010, Senate Republicans brought a resolution to the floor to block implementation of the grandfather rule, warning that it would result in canceled policies and violate President Barack Obama’s promise that people could keep their insurance if they liked it. Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley said at the time,

“Under the grandfathering regulation, according to the White House's own economic impact analysis, as many as 69 percent of businesses will lose their grandfathered status by 2013 and be forced to buy government-approved plans.”

On a party line vote, Democrats killed the resolution! Senate Democrats voted unanimously three years ago to support the Obamacare rule that is largely responsible for some of the health insurance cancellation letters that are going out.

tsadjatko - Isn't it sad that very often the Republicans have the right scope on what is going on but have to put up with people who want everything to be free. But the fact is that what you pointed out was an intended consequence of their effort to take over this nation's health care system.

Mike, what you like about Obama care - eliminating pre-existing conditions ...well don't get too excited - like everything else that is also a lie in the reality of this law's application you may not get the treatment you need for a pre-existing condition. Let alone the known shortage of specialists and gps creating a long waiting time for treatment.

The Affordable Care Act does indeed specify a health plan cannot deny enrollment, or the plan’s benefits, to someone based on that person’s preexisting condition. "However, that is not the same as saying that a plan has to include coverage for any particular preexisting condition, and it certainly does not mean a plan has to include coverage for ongoing treatment that a patient started before obtain coverage in an exchange plan on January 1, 2014.

Key to understanding this distinction is that having “health coverage” is not the same as actually obtaining “health care.” The insurance plan has to take anyone who wants to enroll, regardless of their health status or health history – but they don’t have to provide the same treatments, the same doctors, or the same medications that a patient has been receiving. For someone in the middle of a cancer treatment, or someone with a chronic condition, this can be almost equivalent to losing insurance entirely."

So in the final analysis saying you can not be denied coverage for pre-existing conditions is about the same as saying you can keep your Doctor or health plan if you like it as long as the plan isn't changed. As time goes on it will become a glaring reality this health plan delivers nothing that our elected officials from the Deomoncrap party PROMISED.

tsadjatko - I subscribe to the site you posted there. It is the best source going for information on health care.

Thanks.

The best source, eh...figures TFP is subscribing to it. They sure do get to the root of a matter. Of course when it comes to the facts, compared to the likes of Vanity (not so) Fair, Marvel Comics may be my choice. :-)

Well I still remember that idiot wanting to use Vanity Fair as a reliable source. I wonder if he was polishing hius nails while he was typing. LMAO

Ah Frog, I'm of the opinion now that we should not delay this monstrosity. That only plays into the hands of the World's Greatest Liar.

Let it play out and fail miserably. It could well be the ticket to the GOP gaining the Senate in 2014.

Then at least we have some hope of stemming the tide of destruction.

Sassy - I don't think Obama's narcissism will allow him to admit how he screwed the pooch so we may be safe.

True that Frog! I just read that Sebelius said delaying it was "out of the question" . Just hope all those living in the fog of denial wake up.
