The Wo's of This World!

This World is in Need of Prayer!

Are You Getting Caught Up...Worrying About The Future?

It is so easy to do! The things that we hear on the news, the radio, from our friends, even people in passing, I don't know about you, but this can be down right scary:(

Recently, I realized I was getting too caught up, in the going ons of this world! It was starting to make me depressed...which we are not to be this way. My energy slowed way down, I didn't get much done around the house, or in my daily responsibilities. Before I knew it, I was backed up...not in just one area of my life, but it really seemed...every area of my life was out of kilter! Have you ever felt this way?

I finally sent a note to a friend, saying..."I don't want to admit it, but I maybe need some help?" I mentioned to her..."not that you need to work, yet I could use some help, if you were available?" See how much I beet around the bush! I do not want to impose or be a burden to anyone. The truth is I did need help, and I had to not only admit it to myself, but to my close friend.

She is so awesome, I think it was a week later, she was at my door step. I have to say, she is like a mom to my family...we are so blessed to have her as a part of our lives:) So the first morning she says with a smile on her face, "Okay? What can I do? Make a list?" Then she told my husband, "Help me, by making sure she makes a list." The other thing she said, is..."We Are Going to Accomplish Something Everyday!"

Have you heard the passage in the bible that says..."Where 2 or more are gathered, their I will be?" Well, she is a blessing from Heaven, I am so pleased, with the things we are getting done each day. I feel she is a living example of a godly woman, sharing the light of Christ:)

I hope she doesn't mind me bragging about her to the Internet World:) Here is a list of the things she's helped me get accomplished:)

  1. Caught up My Laundry!
  2. Cleaned some food out of the fridge, and baked banana nut bread:)
  3. Re-organized the work out area!
  4. Took some storage out of the guest room!
  5. Cleaned and organized the garage!
  6. Organized and Cleaned the Laundry Room:)
  7. Today, I helped her, clean out my car!
  8. Loaded up things to take to goodwill!
  9. Treated us to Watermelon:) and KFC! (a night off from cooking:)

Well this is what has been done so far! I am feeling so much better:) My daughter has helped too:) The words come to mind, I believe Zig Ziglar used to say..."Get your eyes off your circumstances!" Then there is the affirmation..."Action Conquers Fear!" There is one more I wanted to mention, not sure where it came from? "Busy Hands Make for Happy People!"

There is still much to do! We are enjoying her company:) Most of my life I was so organized, that some would say, I was a perfectionist. Well as I've gotten older, and had to deal with other life issues, things are not what they used to be! This has been a hard thing for me to accept. Not only accepting was an issue, but what it does to me. When things are not in order, my energy is drained! It is so frustrating, to not be able to find something...that you need, when you need it!

Life became very serious...it is hard to get out of the house when, there is so much to do in the house. All work and no play, was becoming the norm. I could never catch up, no matter how much I did, I never could get enough done in a day. I was trying to handle it all, and all by myself. What a life? The other problem is, I couldn't do the things I enjoyed doing, until everything was caught up, and everything was in it's proper place. Well this was a never ending battle, because I could never get to what I enjoyed doing. There was the house, the bills, the meals, the family, the laundry, the errands, it just was on going!

My rewarded time awaited in another room? A room I could never get to, a room full of creative projects and ideas calling out my name! I know I am telling more about myself, than a person may care to hear? I am sorry for that, if this is the case? If you can relate, I hope this little read, helps:) If I could only of gotten to the creative side of me first, then I would of had an abundance of energy to do the other things. Then there was another catch...once I start working on projects, I don't want to stop...to do the wifely responsibilities. Do any of you have this dilemma?

Now I am rambling, back to the topic at hand. So the goal is...that things can be in order, so that I can work in my creative space:) Having fun doing it, would be given, 2nd goal:)

So I want to let you all know..."I thank God, for my friend, and what a blessing she is, to not only us but others:)

Here is a prayer that was upon my heart, hearing and listening to the wo's of this world:

"Lord please help me be spared of these words of despair. The things I can't control! I want off this runaway train, so out of control. Help me to hear your words, Lord God, in this time of trouble. Forgive me Lord, for being so pre-occupied with things, that I have neglected my time with you:( My head was in a daze, my heart was becoming scared, my soul was not at peace. I realized, I was missing you! How much quiet time we missed...this is why my feelings, were in such disarray? It is You Who is My Comforter, Guide of My Life, The One and Only...Who Can Bring Me to The Light of DAY:) The world was closing in on me...I was loosing site of hope? Because I took my eyes off You! Here I am now! Yearning to hear your words, that overpower the darkness of this world! Please take my hand, step by step...may I follow your ways of peace, love and tranquility:) Such a burden has been lifted as I rest in you:)" Thank you, in Jesus name, Amen:)

Isn't it wonderful when a friend steps in and helps organize your life a bit? Doesn't it make you feel good? You have a good friend there. I enjoyed reading about her.
