The socialist agenda

Joseph Stalin builds a cult of personality. Below it reads-"Under the guidance of the Great Stalin, we go forward to communism!"

In the Black book of Communism it was reported that over 94 million people were murdered under communist rule. For a myriad of unjust reasons, the dictators of communist countries have starved their people to death, captured, tortured, and executed political prisoners, (for some out of shear paranoia), put their people to work in labor camps, and put to death religious leaders and their communities, all of which was for the greater good.

In it's short existence socialism, (the watered down version of communism,) has spread to many countries and continues to increase in influence throughout the world. As this faction is spoon fed to the American people in small doses it becomes a threat to our way of life.

Former leader of the Soviet Union Nikita Khrushchev requested to meet with the United States secretary of agriculture Ezra Taft Benson. Benson later became the president of the LDS church and gave several speeches both from the pulpit and in the political arena condemning the threat of communism which was creeping into American society.

In our day Benson's speeches might be regarded by the media as right wing conspiracy theories. Though in our parents era it would have been a severe turning point in our politics and our freedoms if they would have taken this threat lightly.

The economy of the United States continues to weaken as our politicians resolve the dilemmas of our debt by printing money, bailing out banks and car companies, and increasing taxes on the wealthy.

"We'll so weaken your economy until you fall like over ripe fruit into our hands." -Khrushchev

Redistribution of wealth

A recent survey was conducted by Republican students in colleges around America in which they asked their piers if they wouldn't mind giving up an "A" for a "C" if it were equally distributed to others who were struggling in their academics.

The result of course, was that the same people who assert that money earned by the rich should be equally distributed to the less fortunate, were unwilling to give up their hard earned high marks for the greater good to help out their fellow classmates.

To some it just doesn't seem fair that there are people in America who get the good life while others struggle to make ends meet. We see on television rich brats who go out and waste their parents money on expensive clothing that would otherwise feed an entire nation of starving people. The parents and the children have the idea continually embedded in their minds by television and the media that this is unjust.

It seems fair that everyone should get an equal share of resources, but the socialist government destroys the most sacred principle of charity by taking your hard earned money and divvying it out to the rest of the community. In this process free will as well as all property, food, and any other possessions are taken away and every piece of it belongs to the state. One can see how a dictator can easily arise from this total control by government as all of it's people are indebted to them.

"We'll keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you wake up and find that you already have communism." -Khrushchev.

The implementation

An all too familiar yet unknown method of indoctrination that has befallen the unwitting people of America is social pessimism. Our nation has been spoon fed a high level of negativity by the folks in Hollywood. They consistently portray the family unit with a aggressive, disconnected drunken father, and an insane mother that abuses barbiturates. You get a glimpse of life through the eyes of a child who is persistent in trying to overcome his or her obstacles in life despite their prying and destructive, or otherwise ignorant parents.

You see the normal life of single parents who are divorced, being successful and happy on their own. You see adults cohabitating rather than saving themselves for marriage. We are fed dose after dose of situations where cohabitation proves beyond doubt that avoiding commitment is a factor not to be risked. They portray marriage as a relationship killer, and a binding institution which is nothing more than a dog and pony show to appease the extended family.

More recently we are given a dose of "reality" television chalked full of partying, sex, alcohol, and all the drama you can handle. Does this in any way inspire the viewers to increase their egos to phenomenal levels? Again we are sending people out into the workforce who expect to be treated like the king of the mountain, and when they get a dose of reality they flop and twitch in the all too common misconception that life is supposed to be fair. But fair to them means to be spoon fed everything.

Remember that the goal of communism is for the citizens to be completely reliant on the government. This means that it's biggest compitetion are institutions such as marraige, religion, and the core family unit. one does not have too look hard to see that there is a growing trend in America that devalues our most basic and long cherished traditions.

"I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations." -James Madison

Militant athiesm

In the scientific arena militant atheists such as Richard Dawkins seek out to embarrass, humiliate, and demean anyone who has any kind of belief in the existential. He popularizes the ideology that people who believe in God are not fit for the political arena, and should be treated as insane, or otherwise unintelligent irrational lunatics. Likewise he encourages other atheists to mock and degrade, those with religious convictions, and even accuses those who wish to rear their children in the love of their creator, as unfit parents and child abusers.

The accusation is always that religion has done the most damage in the world, however in it's uprising over the last one hundred years, atheist dominated countries under communism have murdered over 100 million people.

While it is sadly true that throughout history people have tried to kill one another under the guise of Christianity, that is not it's true intent and is opposite to it's nature. it is however the intent of the socialist ideology to mow down anyone who is in opposition to them. Partially because they fear no reprisal for their actions in this life or the next. Their driving force is to usurp power, and take control over the very thoughts and ideas that resonate in the human soul, to abolish the rules set in stone by the creator.

It is somewhat Ironic that those who wish to make a political statement by wearing the image of a notorious bloodthirsty killer, have no idea what that very person thought of his race and his lifestyle.

Increasing taxes on the wealthy is one of your claims. Lets take a look at this from a historical point of view.

We have the introduction of a tax on income in 1862 to help pay for the Civil War. Instead of running a deficit and having a national debt, the government did the fiscally prudent thing of raising taxes. But, just like how the American public has racked up credit card and other debt, the government has led the way by borrowing instead of increasing collections (increased collections usually means those in power are no longer in power come the next election cycle). Anyway, back in 1913 there were only three brackets:

?Income under $300 paid no tax,

?Income between $300 and $10,000 was taxed at 3%,

?Income over $10,000 was taxed at 5%.

That income tax was repealed in 1872 and after some Supreme Court cases and an amendment to the Constitution (16th), income taxes reappeared in 1913, which corresponds with the start of the historical tax rate chart above.

1918: The top rate was in fact 77%, as the chart said, because tax rates were raised in order to help pay for World War I. Tax rates started to fall in the years afterwards.

1932: Rates had been falling the past few years until 1932 when the top rate was 63% (if you think this is bad, wait until the US was deep into World War II). This rate increased in the years leading up to and including World War II.

1945: 94% tax on income over $200,000 – absolutely astounding. It stayed over 90% until 1964 when it was lowered to 77% and had been consistently falling until …

1988: “Read my lips: no new taxes” said George H.W. Bush in 1988 – three years later the top rate was increased from 28% (in part due to a recession and legislative deadlock), where it had bottomed out, to 31%. As you may remember, President Bush Sr. wasn’t asked to return for a second term.

Bush junior started two wars and chose to give the rich a tax break to pay for it. Now explain to me how Obama is responsible for raising taxes.

//While it is sadly true that throughout history people have tried to kill one another under the guise of Christianity, that is not it's true intent and is opposite to it's nature. it is however the intent of the socialist ideology to mow down anyone who is in opposition to them. Partially because they fear no reprisal for their actions in this life or the next.// Christianity seeks to curtail the right of anyone who retains the ability to think for themselves. Most christian have given up this ability and fear anyone who hasn't.

Iassume you actually believe that atheists are really concerned with the fantasy of an afterlife. Please by all means explain how someone who doesn't believe in an afterlife is worried about reprisals in said afterlife. Perhaps your weak minded fans will buy this crap but you have way to defending that statement now do you?

There is no need to respond to anymore of your claims. Nothing you have posted here is anymore than propoganda and lies. You serve the rightwing christian coalition well. I would recommend you apply for a job with the Faux News Network. They thrive on this type of malarky and make millions doing so. This is made possible by the multitudes who have no interest in discovering the truth for themselves.

What does the social situation in the US have to do with socialism?

Nothing at all - just look at the socio economic model of the US, can´t be more different from any socialist approach.

OnusOnus, well written, particularly the way you summarize your points with quotes from Mr. Bensons often overlooked warning. My personal experience with folks from the Department of Agriculture, folks who lived it's history, indicates they knew the DoA had the problems Mr. Benson speaks of, and they did what they could to fight it. I thought the entire article was thought provoking, and have to admit to being puzzled by the first responses.

As for that first comment, when I read it I was reminded of a courtroom where the defending lawyers best approach to winning his case is to manufacture some method by which the truth is either regarded as inadmissable or is sufficently obfuscated (ignore the facts), or to adopt the doctrinal tactic of namecalling.

Stump, thanks for posting. I find that selectively picking through American history in order to blame our socialist (FDR) state on republican presidents is a bit one sided. The fact that our present economic situation has nothing to do with predatory home loans spurred on by the Clinton administration. It seems to slip everyone’s mind when they are blaming every financial woe on Bush.

But hey, the fact that I don’t like Obama must mean that I’m a racist bigot. Or it is possible that over the last two years the only change we have seen is the increase in the cost of gasoline by nearly $2:00 a gallon, 24 more failed banks, an increase of unemployed Americans by 3,000,000 people, an increase of federal employees by over 100,000 an increase of food stamp recipients by over 10,000,000, people under the poverty level increased by over 4,000,000 and our national debt increased by over 4 trillion. But I guess it’s all just a bunch of Fox News propaganda.

“I assume you actually believe that atheists are really concerned with the fantasy of an afterlife.” Of course I realize that atheists do not believe in an afterlife, hence they have no fear of divine reprisal. This is my assertion that there is an afterlife despite their denial of it. Please go back and read more carefully, and try to think about what I am saying before you make assumptions.

Chris57, there is a big difference between capitalistic economics and socialistic economics. One of the consequences of such notions as "entitlements" is that people who have contributed nothing to society feel that society owes them something, apparently just for being nice enough to grace us with their presence.

fitnezzjim, It is quite preplexing when shown the destructive direction that our country is headed, to support such ideology. Name calling and other such bantering is the usual tactic of the typical tantrum throwing liberal.

While I'm inclined to agree, I almost always cringe when the comments on a good article include phrases like 'you people always', 'isn't that typical of', or 'thats what they do' or 'this is the way they think'. Those type of comments always leave me with the impression that the writer values making assumptions about a team or group or side more than he values getting to the truth of an event.

Onusonus, "entitlements" are what distinguishes a human society from a conglomerate of people living together in a country.

We may all agree to disagree on how much and who pays for that. But still - socialism, that is a different story, believe me.

fitnezzJim,you will have to excuse my being reeled into the moral low ground, I do live in a prodominantly liberal state, and am inclined to express according to my experiences, but such is the modus operandi in the political arena.

Thank you for publishing this tremendous article. By the way, those 94 million people murdered by their own governments? Every one of those leaders defined themselves as a "Socialist."

The points you made are the Truth. I hope America wakes up in time. If it does, the young will realize the same truths that you do now and we can put an end to this demonic takeover of our nation. And that is what is happening.

Excellent hub page!

What I find actually hilarious is that militant atheism is as much a religion if not more so than most religions. Instead of worshiping the Creator who made everyone, atheists have essentially chosen to worship the creature. An atheist worships (holds as the most important, respects the most, gives highest priority to, or treats as the highest authority and the source of meaning and morality) himself, or money, or sex, or a movie star, or an athlete, or the government, and so on. An atheist is an idolater just as much as someone who bows before a statue or other man-made object representing his deity. Just in case you think that idolatry cannot be committed by an atheist, consider how the eleventh edition of Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary defines this term.

the worship of a physical object as a god

immoderate attachment or devotion to something

As an atheist you must believe in evolution and so you cling to a view that requires mindless matter to work miracles, such as causing life to arise from non-living materials and intelligence to come from non-intelligence.

The fact that atheists even bother to congregate to discuss the meaning of life shows just how desperately human beings need the true God. Even when we try to remove God from our lives, we are compelled to fill the void with some other religion. And atheism is undeniably a religious position.

Don't mean to detract from this excellent hub page which is so poignant in so view words, just maybe add a little humor, the hilarity of atheism.

Dont Taze Me Bro -You are so correct that these so called atheist's worship gods of their own. They've replaced the true God for one that fits their lifestyle and doesn't require any moral accountability at all.

Thank you wba108 for telling it like it is. What is hilarious is these militant ones use their religion to attack all religion, all the while professing to be the scientifically correct, educated and intelligent pinnacles of evolution when historically atheism has revealed itself to be the dregs of morality, lies and deceit, history proves it.

Socialism is very much at odds with religion, particularly organized religion. Once the religious become organized with their common and efficient goals of serving their fellow man, it makes wasteful government social programs obsolete. Needless to say, the government doesn't like that kind of competition.

I think we will find in the near future that in order to gain political validity disenfranchised groups such as Muslims will attach themselves to socialist values.
