Chiquita is Serving Breakfast

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Sunday, December 11, 2016. Our noisy friend, Chiquita Cicada, is cooking up a ton of banana waffles for breakfast this morning. While mixing up the batter, she was listening to various college students discuss their angst and fear about a Trump presidency. She took her frustration out on the waffles, so the batter should be smooth as a baby's tush. Please join us as quickly as possible for waffles, Irish coffees and a dose of reality.

Stop the Whining

Thanks so much for joining us for breakfast today. The collective millennial crying jag continues, and it looks like it won't be abating anytime soon. I had the total displeasure of watching college students being interviewed this morning. They explained that Trump's shocking victory has left them unable to concentrate on their studies. They do not want to take their finals. They simply can't focus. Their level of fear has escalated out of control. They need a sanctuary campus, and they need it now. If I had the misfortune of being a parent of one of these children, I would tell them that their behavior has disappointed me so much, that I can't, in good conscious, continue to pay their tuition. Their inability to cope with defeat staggers the imagination. If they are incapable of studying, I would suggest they take a leave of absence and go to work. If they manage to get some sort of job, and they tell their employer that they need a sanctuary workplace, they should prepare to be fired. If their employer gives them a deadline, and they find that expectation unreasonable, they should prepare to be fired. If they encounter loss in their life, and they can't deal with it, they should prepare for consequences. The real world is quite different from the kindergarten liberal wasteland they have been immersed in. If they continue going the way they have, they should be prepared for failure. Their ridiculous behavior is unacceptable in the real world. Throw away the crayons and pacifiers and grow up!

No Free Ride For You

I heard many of you state that you believe your student loans should be forgiven. You went on to state that you would refuse to pay back your loans. Education should be free, you say. Okay then, don't pay back your loans. The creditors will come after you wherever you go. They will go after your salary when you graduate. There are no safe spaces for you when it comes to repaying a debt. Perhaps you want to declare bankruptcy. I say go ahead. You will lose your credit and your credibility, and that is how it should be. Millions of students who came before you, stood up to their financial obligations and paid back their loans. You are not exempt from responsibility. If you are craving a free ride, I am happy to tell you that you are living in the wrong country. Those "free ride" nations aren't doing too well, but why not find out for yourself.

Picking and Choosing

You have stated on more than one occasion that you have no intention of obeying laws you do not agree with. You are probably bolstered by the likes of Mayors DeBlasio and Emanuel who intend to defy federal law and continue as sanctuary cities protecting illegal immigrants. In a Trump world, versus an Obama world, these cities must lose funding for refusing to obey the law. The same applies to you. If you refuse to obey the law, that nasty word "consequences" will pop up again. You do not get to pick and choose what laws you will follow and what laws you will defy. Certainly, you are free to try, but be prepared to pay a hefty price. Public opinion and the law are not on your side. You have called for sanctuary campuses where illegal immigrants will be protected, and will receive a free education. You are living in a dream world. You are not connected, on any level, to the real world. Your left-wing professors have sold you a bill of goods about our nation, and you have fallen for it big time. I don't feel sorry for you. I feel sorry for the rest of society, because your inability to function as productive citizens will surely affect us all.

Time to Say Good-bye

I have a suggestion for those of you who simply can't stand this nation, and the prospect of a Trump in the White House. It is time for you to learn, by experience, what America is all about. If you are so dissatisfied with the status quo, I think you should hop on board a plane and head for Venezuela. That Socialist paradise will offer all of you a strong and unforgettable picture of what Socialism is really about. Be prepared for drastic shortages of food, medicine, and electricity. If you need to enter a hospital for any reason, you will probably end up dead. There will be riots in the streets. Try to stay safe, but it won't be easy. The murder rate is out of control as is runaway inflation. If you think you are suffering in America, please go to Venezuela and experience the fruits of a Socialist agenda. Who knows, maybe you will fit right in. Good-bye.

Chiquita's Song

I'm Chiquita Cicada

And I'm here to say

If Venezuela's your dream

Just go away!
