Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Sunday,, November 6, 2016. Our dear friend, Mantis Manny, is bringing in breakfast this morning. He has ordered, bagels, lox and cream cheese, and it should be delivered at any moment. Manny is too agitated to stand over a stove. Tuesday will decide our nation's fate for years to come. Manny needs to run a few things by all of you, so please join us this morning. I will prepare enough Bloody Marys to keep us busy all morning. We hope to see you soon.

A Tight and Crazy Race

Thanks so much for joining POP and me this morning. So much incredibly horrible information has emerged about Clinton that I wonder why we are even bothering to hold an official election. I now believe that a vote for this woman is an expression of either total ignorance or a complete breakdown of morals. Clinton should be finished in the eyes of the electorate, but sadly there are still loads of voters out there who have no idea who she is and what is at stake. Hillary loves two things in this world, one is power and the other is Hillary. She has committed more crimes than Al Capone, but not only is she still free, she is running for the highest office in the country. That alone speaks volumes about us as a nation, and it is a book I don't want to read. Whether you like Trump or not, a vote for Hillary is a vote against all we once stood for. Thanks to eight agonizing years under Obama, our country is broken and the world now views us with suspicious eyes. They have every right to feel that way. We lost our way and we let our allies down. We have a long road ahead of us if we are going to save our country, but nothing will ever improve if Clinton moves into the White House. I prefer a jail cell, but I am only one bug among many. The election is Tuesday, and we have so much left to do. The FBI needs to perform a miracle and dump all the info they have now. We can't afford any delays. WikiLeaks needs to go for broke and let it all hang out. Since our news outlets are state controlled, we need a Paul Revere in every town in every state to let voters know what is at stake. For the greatest nation in the world to be this uninformed, this oblivious, this indifferent and this disorganized is a complete embarrassment. We had better get as many ducks in a row as possible, but there are so many factors at work that I wonder if we will ever know the true outcome of this epic election.

Voting American Style

Just looking at the myriad ways we have of voting in this country makes me wonder how we got to be this stupid. We are a civilized nation. Shouldn't we have a consistent and civilized way of exercising our most important right? We should, but we don't. In the first place, we have far too many instances of voter fraud. Dead people are voting, imaginary people are voting and some people are voting many times in many states. The people aren't the only problem. The voting methods and machines are varied, and that is a huge problem. Some voters will go to the polls and use a method that involves optical scanning of paper ballot systems. Huh? Voters must choose a candidate by filling in an oval or filling in a box that will be scanned at a central location. Other lucky voters will use a direct recording electronic system. Using either a touchscreen, a pushbutton or a dial, votes are entered into a computer. The voter's choices are stored on a disk and added to the choices of other voters. Huh? Other voters will be using ballot marking devices. The choices are scanned but they don't go into a computer. Instead, the choices are indicated on a paper ballot which is then counted. Huh? Other voters will have the pleasure of using a punch card for recording their votes. They vote and place the card in a ballot box. Huh? Mechanical lever machines are no longer used in US elections, but they were my personal favorite. I enjoyed pushing the lever down. Last, but certainly not least, is the hand counted paper ballot. I think they use this method in third world nations with dictators. In our country 700 hundred year old workers manually count the votes! When it comes to verifying the vote, we really don't have a lot going for us.

For the Love of Country

Time is running out. We have a great deal of noise out there obscuring the real issues. We deserve better than a Clinton presidency. We need a breath of fresh air. We need a voice. We need to change things and make America great again. Trump says he'll do it, so I say let him try. God Bless America.....

Manny's Song

The moment I wake up

Before I stretch my wings

I say a little prayer for America....

Imagine an America where all new laws passed by Congress were vetoed, and could only pass by over-riding the Presidential veto with a two-thirds majority in both Congress and the Senate.

The result would be less taxes, and more freedom.

That will never happen if we elect a Republican or a Democrat as President.

Is that Manny praying over there? or preying?

I have said that the only way an Obama gets elected is to have voters who are stupid. The only way the witch gets elected is the same stupid people vote for her. What needs to happen on Monday is that she gets indicted. I'll take that Bloody Mary now. Make that a double!

There's been voter fraud for as long as I've been alive. I know the Kennedy's had dead people voting for them in Chicago. One would think, in the last fifty years, we would have devised a way to guard against that, but maybe I'm expecting too much out of my elected officials. :) I will be so glad when this election is over. Then we can all start bitching for four years about the job the new President is doing.

Dear FitnezzJim,

Manny is trying to live within our current reality. We have 2 candidates, like them or not. Hillary is a liar, a crook, and a danger to our safety and our freedom. Donald is unknown at this point, but just maybe he'll surprise all of us. I hate the parties myself, but I doubt we can remake the nation in any way that would please everybody. See you at the Inn.

Dear billy,

If Hillary gets elected we may have more than just bitching going on. We may have to lock our doors and bolt our windows. She'll flood this country with people we can't vet, destroy our economy once and for all and tax us to death. I am so sick of this entire election nightmare. Too long, too, too long! See you at the Inn.

pop & Manny....Down to the finish. Suspense is high, nerves are shot. We can only wait & SEE. I watched a program late last night where ordinary Americans on the streets were stopped to answer questions about this campaign, the candidates & how they'd voted or will vote.

The answers were so varied but extremely telling. I no longer feel so isolated in my opinions. People everywhere from all walks of life have obviously been just as tossed around, stunned and concerned as the rest of us.

Some said they are so disinterested, they couldn't care less what happens or who is elected because the entire system is corrupt & it has not been a government for the people in decades! I believe these people who keep their eyes and minds shut down, may just be the lucky ones.

talk to you on the 9th..........

Good Morning Patti and Manny.

I find it interesting that most of us are well aware of the voter fraud that takes place in this country. In some cases those guilty of voter fraud are caught but are they ever punished?

Based on the great information in your hub it would seem that we have many different methods for casting and counting ballots in our country. All of these methods are open to voter fraud, some more than others. There seems to be a huge amount of resistance to requiring Voter ID at our polling places. Why would this be unless it would make voter fraud somewhat more difficult.

The only way voter fraud can be eliminated or reduced would be to throw away all of our current methods and copy the system used in India and a few other countries. When their citizens cast their ballots their finger is marked with indelible ink that can't be washed off for at least a week. That alone keeps people from voting multiple times and completely eliminates dead people from voting.

I can't believe we don't have people smart enough to clean up our data bases and get at least most of the dead people off the voter rolls. Unless of course they don't want to do that.

Another way would be to pass a law that any voter fraud discovered that favored one candidate over the other would result in an automatic win in that State for the candidate who was being cheated.

Old Poolman? I partially agree with that last statement of yours that "Another way would be to pass a law that any voter fraud discovered that favored one candidate over the other would result in an automatic win in that State for the candidate who was being cheated."

If that law were passed at the federal level, then it would mean the fed is exercising further restrictions on how we all conduct our affairs. Such a law would be much better implemented at the state or even local levels. It would take longer, but it would mean that young politicians would not gain power and influence by rigging the vote. Much like every state has laws against murder, every state could have really strong consequences for those who commit election fraud.

For BreakfastPop. We have four nominees who are on the ballots in most states. Three of those are on the ballots in all states. The poll I had for this years presidential election shows 72% plan to vote for a third party candidate. Every other way I see to try to guess the outcome has Hillary by a landslide. Either way, we'll know on Wednesday.

Dear fp,

I get it. I feel the same way. I cannot deal with the possibility that Hillary will win. I understand that you cannot accept Trump as president, but what choice so we have. Let' hope for the best and prepare for the worst. See you at the Inn.

All I can say is that any "conservative" who believes that Hillary and and all progressive "ideals" are destroying this country, had just better get over the fact that Trump was not their personal choice and put their big girl or big boy pants on, and go out and vote for Trump. Yes, he is a wild card, but Do you really want more of the Obama policies continued and even put into overdrive?

There are some here who do want that very much. But if you are not one of them, then don't hide your head in the sand and wait till it is over. Our votes count. We cannot give up because of concerns over voter fraud. We have to vote regardless. Don't give a free pass to that vile woman. You know what she will do. HRC's foul mouthed temperment is scary. That's putting it mildly.

Yves is sooooooo right! I know she is and the rest of those who insist Hillary stay out of the WH, know this too. It really is a matter of being so committed to the cause that nothing else matters but voting against her.

As Yves has so aptly put it, "he" may not be our personal choice," but at this point, we simply cannot let this be the issue. No matter, Republican, Independent, & even Democrat-disgusted-with-Hillary, we do need to vote. That's all there is to it.

Thanks for the splash of cold water, Yves! Sometimes ya gotta do it!

You are welcome, Paula...and thanks. I resisted for a long time, but I realized that we can't sit on our hands because our "friends" may not approve. That would be buying into political correctness, which is destroying this country. I voted Saturday and felt damn good about it. If I get Blacklisted by some, I am soooo perfectly fine with that. ;)

You know, I recall a time when people simply refused to divulge their choice/WHO they intended to vote for. The privacy of it used to be accepted and respected.....sort of like the vast majority are not fond of being asked how much money they make! That was always considered a very rude question.

BUT....despite the PC induction and pressure, it sure seems like more & more it's perfectly OK to ask rude questions.

I have never in my life been influenced by "friends or others" on something so vital as to affect our entire nation. Sure as heck will not start now!

PC IS destroying our country in huge ways....I have believed this since it all burst onto the scene. I will not ever change my opinion on that. Agree totally.

I vote on Tuesday. New York (THE STATE THAT ALWAYS HAS TO BE DIFFERENT AND DIFFICULT!) does not have early voting. Sorry for the screaming about my beloved home state. I really don't ever want to live anywhere but here (my home)....but truth is, it seems we're just not like so many other states in countless ways (to do with Government red tape)

I'm optimistic that Americans who've not been regular voters will come out in support of the only candidate that gives "we the people" a chance at fixing this nation......Trump

Dear Pop and Manny

I'm my perfect world she will go to jail and the foundation money goes toward fixing our voting system one state at a time. I honestly can't believe we are voting like we are in the Stone Age. Let's start with a valid ID. No ID/No vote. That could illimate votes, good! This is a right you should take seriously, you should be doing some homework.

As for our candidates the one should be in the jail and the other has my blessing. He has a mess to clean up and God bless him for his efforts in trying to make America great again.

I think at this point the Inn is a perfect place to stay on Tuesday. I'm packing a bag.

It blows me away that we can't fix voter fraud in this great county. We are smart enough to put a man on the moon but not smart enough to solve this problem?

Perhaps if we started putting a few people caught committing voter fraud in prison it would at least reduce the problem.

Wild Bill 4 weeks ago

We can't fix voter fraud because Liberals will not allow it. That is their best chance at keeping the power. I've never understood how having to show an id, which is common for most things, is made to be an "infringement on rights". But these are also the some people who made killing a bay in the womb a right, too. God forbid we should own a gun, though! That is a no no.

breakfastpop profile image

breakfastpop 4 weeks ago Author

Dear Mike,

It blows my mind that Dems don't want to stop voter fraud, because it increases their votes. That is why the idea of voter ID is so horrible to them. As long as there are sleaze balls around, we will behave like a third world nation. Head for the Inn, Mike. I'll meet you there.

breakfastpop profile image

breakfastpop 4 weeks ago Author

Dear Wild Bill,

As long as there are liberals like the present day libs, we will have voter fraud. They count on it and their argument against voter ID is completely inane and very telling . They are willing to do anything, and I mean anything, to stay in power. Sometimes I wonder if I am still living in America. There are far too many times when it feels like Venezuela!

Wild Bill 4 weeks ago

Yes They are willing to do anything to stay in power. The scary part is their followers who blindly believe them, give them the power to do it.

Great Hub by the way. Keep up the good work!

breakfastpop profile image

breakfastpop 4 weeks ago Author

Dear Wild Bill,

I have talked to some of these people, and doing so is completely maddening. No matter I say, they state that they don't believe anything. One lib told me that if Trump wins, Pence will bring back slavery! They also said that asking for voter ID was discriminatory. You can't argue with stupid! See you at the Inn. It exists only in our minds, but it is a great place to be.

pop & Manny....Just a simple wish. What I wouldn't give to understand James Comey. Is he the Lone Ranger? A threatened coward? A well-paid puppet? He's too young to have dementia. From what we've been "led to understand," he's as straight & officially unbiased as can be. Is he trying to please as well as piss off ALL the people equally? In the latter case, he's a complete success.

No one can wait until this is over. What a joke. This will never be over, regardless of the outcome. Looks like we each must find our own way to take cover. Fall out and after shocks will be enormous.

You'll need a new & longer list of UNwelcome guests to post outside the Inn, pop! In fact, we may just have to move the Inn elsewhere!

A nice, lovely deserted island, ya think? P

Dear fp,

Comey is definitely a coward. There was already enough damning evidence to indict before the additional 650,000 emails were found. Supposedly Comey has many letters of resignation on his desk that he hasn't addressed. It's time he did so. I'll see you at the Inn. If we have to move it to a safer location, we'll do it. Tomorrow is going to be one helluva day.
