Utilizing Your Gift to Fulfill Your Purpose
Purpose of Life
“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
“The purpose of life is to contribute in some way to making things better.”
― Robert F. Kennedy
Every Person Has A Gift and Purpose
Each person is granted a gift and a purpose in life. Your gift is that which you excel naturally doing and have a passion appreciated by others. Your gift can be music, acting, motivating others, or poetry-the list goes on and on. In your pursuit to perfect your talent and excel beyond your expectations there is an emptiness to the meaning of your life if you don’t tap into your purpose. Why is it so important to know your purpose? When you discover your purpose, and act on your gift, you have the responsibility to impact the world in a positive manner with that purpose. Where would we be today if people like Gandhi or Mother Theresa decided to keep the things that troubled their souls to themselves?
Life is like an hourglass full of sand. We have no idea when we will run out of time so it is our job to remember that when it comes to living one’s purpose. We may have 10 years to wait to perfect our gift and live in our purpose, but then again you may not have tomorrow. This is not a sad notion but the reality to our mortality. Learning to live and love others with passion on a daily basis and do not take loved ones for granted. Sometimes we witness injustice, pain of others, lost souls and that compassion in your heart has to call you to act on that connection.
