Who's Your Grandfather?

The cat got out of the bag about the decisions being made NOT to tell the public about people losing their health insurance under Obama's "grandfathering" clause. You see Ezekiel Emanuel, Rahm's smug idiot of a brother, in the video shows what a Chicago thug is all about. He didn't want anyone to get a word in edgewise to refute his nonsense.

In the course of doing that he probably said more than he intended to say about the pre-passage of the law he helped craft in secret. For those who fail to understand a Democratic Congress didn't write that law. They just passed it without reading it. They rammed it right down our throats and lied to us while doing it.

This segment got so frenzied I had to listen to it a few times to catch all of what Emanuel let out of the bag for public consumption. Take your time and listen carefully.

Here's a very telling comment by Ezekiel:

“Insurance companies don’t want, insurance companies don’t like the individual market as it’s constructed. They see the future. That individual market is going away. They don’t want to invest in it.”

Who would have known that Obamacare was designed to do away with the individual marketplace and an individual's choice. If you listened to that segment it should now be obvious to you that Obamacare is about controlling you from cradle to grave concerning your health care decisions. Now I know you Progressives will scream foul but it was designed that way. Then it was debated within the White House inner circle on just exactly how to lie about it. The NY Times might say Obama misspoke, which happens only once, but Obama continually told that same lie over and over again. PERIOD.

Collectivism is part of Obama's strategy in "fundamentally transforming" America. He was raised by two Marxist parents who embraced that and passed it on to young Barack. It should be apparent listening to "Architect Emanuel" that the Nanny State knows what is best to meet your health insurance needs whether you like it or not. Their view is that what is best for the collective is best and disregard what you think is best for you and your needs. It matters not, if you've been watching, whether it be about your health care, the food you eat, the kind of car you drive (remember the Volt?), what temperature your set your thermostat on or what kind of light bulb you use to light your home. The list goes on. If you have been paying attention that is.

Your worth to society is not measured in your years of age as Emanuel might contend. We have gone completely off course when you measure of worth is how many tax dollars you are contributing to the "collective mindset" rather than your actual contribution as an individual to the society that you inhabit. Again listen to people like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. That is exactly the message these progressive Democrats are telegraphing to you.

Did you catch the parts about how a policy can be changed by a consumer that makes it subject to complying to the mandates of Obamacare? So how did this happen and why?

"The government, in fact, made the restrictions so narrow that even a $5 change in a co-pay could cause the policy to become illegal and thus ineligible for grandfathering."

That is beyond restrictive. It is ridiculous! They crafted such a restrictive policy that insurance companies are forced, by law, to deny renewals. The reason they did it that way is so that you choices as an individual consumer are progressively taken away over time. Then Obama has the audacity to turn around and tell us the insurance companies are the bad guys. If you believe that then you are one stupid person.

What you just heard Ezekiel Emanuel do was let the real cat out of the bag concerning Obamacare. I won't call it "Affordable" because it isn't going to be. It was never intended to be and there is no way to insure everyone and keep it that way. What planet are you living on if you believe that spin?

What we saw was a President who pledged that you can keep your insurance plan who knew in advance that the government was then going to deliberately make certain within that law to make certain the individual insurance market would shut down. Keep in mind that the same Ezekiel Emanuel you listened to pompously and indignantly affirm that that was the architects intention in writing that law. He was one of the prime architects and why Chris Wallace did that very interview.

Of course he didn't lie. He just misspoke.

Just Misspoke Huh? How Many Times?

I'm amazed at Obama's defenders concerning his lying ways. They have obviously over dosed on Obama koolaid. Does Obamacare cover that form of treatment too?

Now that some of the rumors about Obamacare are becoming fact, there are still those who will defend this to the death. I actually read a comment on another hub were he stated "Obama lied about the plan for our own good. If he had told the truth it would not be helping us today."

After reading that comment I felt a great deal better about being told the same lie for over a couple years.

Oh, I forgot, he also said his plan will cost him nothing.

Mike - Hell Jay Carney just about said the same thing in a briefing today. He told us that the President was saying things to make people feel better about the very situation he created.

Well heck, if Jay Carney said that, it must be true. We all know Jay Carney would never even consider telling a lie.

Maybe one day America will awake and see how relentless, vile, and treacherous this bunch of collectivism radicals really is. Congratulations America.....Doctor Sheldon Cooper just designed your healthcare plan with no provision for the individual in any of it. If they have their way, "individual" will not even be a word used in America's future.

Hey, this is Obama's legacy we're talking about. I'm glad he owns this now. I would bet there are a bunch of politicians wishing like hell they had read this bill before they cast their ballot. I suspect there will be some serious fallout over this come the next election.

Now I'm sure I have heard about miss speaking b'for, somewhere?...help me people, where have I heard that b'for ?

Was it in church? Maybe Jeremiah Wright's Church?

Yeah, oh I know where I saw it.

It was in the BHO version of the Bible . The Messiah said to his disciples, "Go into all the world and miss-speak to all creation."

Hot dang, BO is carry'n out the Great Omission!

(omission you say? yeah, the truth is [totally] omitted)

And Bill Clinton miss-spoke when he said "I did not have sexual relations with that woman."

Now I guess we have to say Debbie Wassermann Schultz miss-spoke about miss-speaking.

Yes and the serpent miss-spoke to eve about the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Benedict Arnold must have done a lot of miss-speaking in his career. And then there is Bernie Madoff...what a miss-speaker he was! and Ken Lay? m,m,m,miss-spoken! mmmmm, mmmmmm we is just a country full of miss-speakin people, isn't we! Pass the chitlins honey b'fore I miss-speak agin!

Oh yes. There is a video out there but I can't find it - a compilation of top Democraps "miss-speaking" the same "miss-spoken" promises Obama made along with the same "miss-spoken" guarantees.

But here are the details and quotes of "miss-speak" by Senate Majority Leader Dirty Harry Reid, Senate Democratic Whip tricky Dick Durbin, Senate Budget Committee Chairwoman Patty Murray, [Then-]Sen. [Jon] Kyl [R-Ariz.] and House lawmakers who made similar claims at the time include Reps. Marcia Fudge (D-Ohio) and Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas).

I believe there were other top democraps who also willingly "miss-spoke"

I got this darling little gal for a wife. She is a great immigrant and really loves this place we call home. She actually is not real politically astute and in fact came here from a communist country.

But she looked quizzical at me on Sunday. As I was pontificating. On leadership as set forth in Acts 15. And how the Dems could use a lesson.

"Does he just get to do that and stay president?"

I explained about the US Flag with "don't tread on me" and how he has just taken that from our Navy Seals.

I got no answer on why he is still president.

tsadjatko - You waxed so elegantly that I'm holding my sides. "misspeak to all creation?" Tremendous! ROTFLMAO

Eric - Your last sentence is very telling and an excellent one. If it were anyone else they would have been hammered by now. This guy makes Nixon look like a choir boy. I have a theory about why he remains but those sort of things remain outside of public discourse at this point. He is as dishonorable person I have ever seen in my 6 decades on this earth.

Well then edit or banish or hide my comment. Race was an evil bastard up until the last part of the last century. And now it is an evil bastard again.

Remember how television really kind of stunk through the forties and fifties. Well we got better at it. But I do not go an bash my HDTV because my RCA stunk.

We have a president that pulls the race card and has for a 3 decades. And yet pretends to stand aloof from it. I personally do not hang out with many white Caucasian middle aged males. I here that they are generally good folks. I do hang out with youths 30-. And they are also. My older son and two daughters are white. They say I am but no one can prove it.

Race has nothing to do with being an a-hole. Because he happens to be a partial black a-hole does not mean a thing to me. I got more Southwestern and Southern black in my little finger that this pokey dokey has. He is city. He smells of city and he acts like city.

Sorry my country boys and I do not like city. We be black, white, Spanish, Mexican, Vietnamese, NA and Native American, shoot we are Chinese and mutts of all shapes and sizes.

My momma moved from Chicago to out west to build a better life --- get it? I ain't never met an honest ------- that came from the city. But I have met a lot of honest men with callouses on the hands and sunburn on their necks.

Eric - I'm not being critical of you because we're probably on the same page. But we know from experience that if one disagrees with Obama's policies, or don't respect him as a man or a person, then you are a racist. That's about as stupid a statement anyone could say to me or accuse me of.

Have I been accused of being a racist? Yes, right here on this very forum. I'm not in the least. I just flat out don't like pathological liars with narcisstic personalities.

I'll never respect any President, regardless of some asinine political party designation, who lies to the American public. Never have and never will.

Here is the length to which Obama's henchmen (Besides top Democraps taunting the same lie with the same "guarantee") went to propagate the lie "you can keep your doctor or your plan if you like them." Linda Douglass, the communications director for the White House's Health Reform Office told people in 2009 (it's on the video she made found on whitehouse.gov) "if your neighbors are telling you THE LIE that you can't keep your healthcare plan email the flag@whitehouse and let them know!"

So in 2009 the administration had their operatives out there not only repeating the lie (and it is proven the white house knew it was a lie in 2009) intimidating citizens who were telling the truth about Obamacare by accusing them of being the liars. This is an insidiously evil administration!

Oh, well then...it was definitely a multiple miss-speak, or like the French would say a series of Faux pas(es?). Yes, Obama would approve that we should look to France for accurate description of policy "miss-speaks" (or any other changes to America he wants to fundamentally employ).

Concerning the disappearance of the private insurance market, it's true that the so-called "public option" was taken out of the PPACA so it could pass the Senate without making illegal use of a massive "nuclear option" (bypass the Senate completely by falsely classifying Obamacare as a pure funding bill; this was the so-called Slaughter Solution). But, under the PPACA as passed, HHS can add public options via regulation at a later date. My fear is that it will, and will temporarily underprice them to drive all private options out of the market, and then raise the prices on the public options to monopoly levels on everyone who isn't below a certain income level.

drbj - I see the same thing so it may not be you. This administration has become used to the lap dog press. I do see that starting to change too.

I think before this is all over we may actually see Jay Carney have a total meltdown or even a full-blown nervous breakdown in front of the WH Press Corps! I do hope they get it on video so it can be played over and over and over...

Stu 3 years ago

Frog - "I think the American people have had about enough of this entire fiasco." I know I sure have. Did you here Oblabber's latest mia culpa? Facing the fact that the federal exchange web site doesn't work, Obama is now "allowing," but not mandating, that State Insurance Departments reauthorize the non-Obamacare plans that were canceled by insurers fearing lack of future demand (enrollees would have to pay the optout penalty). There are only 45 more days before 1/1. How can there possibly be enough time for insurers to get all the insurance department approvals they need, come up with rates for plans that were canceled, get the old plans running again on insurers' admin and claim systems, and send out bills in time to get paid by 1/1?

The Frog Prince profile image

The Frog Prince 3 years ago from Arlington, TX Author

Stu - There isn't and it would cost the industry another fortune. Obama knows that and is playing another political game. He is all about politics and nothing about the people of this nation.

Old Poolman profile image

Old Poolman 3 years ago from Rural Arizona

Our President must believe he can just wave his magic wand and all these private insurance companies will jump to his commands.

The costs for these insurance companies to undo this action would be astronomical, let alone how much time it would take them to put all of these canceled policies back in place.

It seems that other than getting "free" insurance for some that previously used the ER for free care, absolutely nothing has been accomplished.

I agree our health care system needed some fixing, but now it is completely broken.

The Frog Prince profile image

The Frog Prince 3 years ago from Arlington, TX Author

Mike - Keep in mind he's playing, as usual, to low information voters. Of course the insurance companies can't comply with his edit, nor do I expect them to. So if they did who does anyone think will pick up the tab of undoing what Obama had them do? The answer is obvious to anyone having more than one brain cell.

So your saying Obama started a forest fire and now expects the tax payers to put out the flames?

No doubt this is a stupid question but wouldn't he need Congressional approval to make this happen? Not that he has ever worried about getting approval before now.

I wonder what the rest of the world thinks of our leader now?

The Frog Prince profile image

Mike - Obama sees himself as being above the law. You know that. It's time to impeach the fraud and get it over with.

Old Poolman profile image

Old Poolman 3 years ago from Rural Arizona

If he were impeached, would we be stuck with Joe for the rest of this term? That is a frightening thought.

This failed health care plan is Obama's legacy. He wanted it, he demanded it, and now he owns it. His brothers are putting some serious distance between themselves and Obama in hopes voters will forget they supported the bill.

Our own idiot, John McCain, has now done a 180 and wants to defund Obamacare. A couple weeks ago he voted for it. Does he honestly think voters will forget his previous vote? I for one will make darn sure to remind everyone I know about how he voted.

It is past time to clean house, most of them need to go. I can picture Obama exiting the Whitehouse with Pelosi under one arm, Reid under the other arm, and McCain trailing behind carrying their luggage.
