Winnie Mandela, the Necklacing Murderous Diva

Winnie Mandela - Basically, A Murderer.

Winnie Mandela is NO SAINT

The surname Mandela is given a false sense of honour in this world because of Nelson Mandela, but his former wife Winnie Mandela is a murderous whore of a woman, and she should never be given any sort of honour anywhere in South Africa, or indeed, this planet Earth.

Now, I'd only become aware of this due to comments on a previous publication in which Winnie Mandela caused undue misery upon an officer of the law, as she recklessly, and cold heartedly put other persons in danger while travelling at a very high rate of speed on a highway in South Africa. She further shamed herself with her diva whore behaviour in the eyes of all under the sun with her cold hearted, high handed, and superior attitudes towards the officer of the law who'd only done his sworn job to serve and protect those travelling the highways there. This woman is no saint, and she shouldn't even be allowed to wander free in the nation of South Africa, or anywhere in this world.

Murder Most Foul.

According to Wikipedia, the following is the most accurate description of the cruel form of murder that has been associated with the despicable name of Winnie Mandela:

Necklacing (sometimes called necklace) is the practice of brutal and cruel execution, carried out by forcing a rubber tire, filled with gasoline, around a victim's chest and arms, and setting it on fire. The victim may take up to 20 minutes to die, suffering severe burns in the process

According to Wikipedia:

The practice was often carried out in the name of the ANC, and was even implicitly endorsed by Winnie Mandela, then-wife of the imprisoned Nelson Mandela and a senior member of the ANC, although the ANC officially condemned the practice.

One of the highest profile cases was that of a young girl, MakiSkhosana, who was necklaced in July 1985

“Moloko said her sister was burned to death with a tyre around her neck while attending the funeral of one of the youths.

Her body had been scorched by fire and some broken pieces of glass had been inserted into her vagina, Moloko told the committee.

Moloko added that a big rock had been thrown on her face after she had been killed

Cowards, and Sweets For the Sweet.

Kevin Carter was a coward who'd shamed himself by taking photographs during these evil, violent, sadistic execution in Africa. . .all of them approved by Winnie Mandela, who should suffer the same, the very same fate that she'd suffered so cruelly upon others. How could anyone expect such a whore of a woman to suffer the indignities of being pulled over by a police officer who only sought to serve and protect those upon the highways that he'd know to have been to be in danger from a vehicle carrying such a high profile, and high speed murderous, sadistic whore such as Winnie Mandela?

Kevin Carter took his own life, and I would too were I such a shameful coward as to stand by, and photograph such cruelty. Everyone who witnesses such things and does nothing deserves the same fate that they stood by, and by their apathy, approved of.

Sweets to the sweet, my friends; God can forgive those that I can not, or that I struggle to forgive. Winnie Mandela. I hope that you get your gasoline filled necklace in hell, but even more, my sweet murderous diva; I hope you see it on this Earth.

Extreme Anger.

I have to admit, I got so angry reading about this and writing about it, I'm just embarrassed for anyone and everyone who thought that this woman was worth something in this world, she's worth very little, and probably much less than the people she approved to have murdered in such a brutal, barbaric, and sadistic fashion.  This woman is a death whore, and approves of murder in ways that Rick Perry hasn't even considered yet.  Winnie Mandela; I hope you get your rewards in the hereafter.

Hey Todd, i just clicked on that first hub under that related hub to read what some else had to say about her. Do you know Tonymac here on HP? He lives in South Africa and has written hubs about it. Here's what he had to say-Thank you so much for this great Hub, Ethel. You have done a splendid job. Ma-Winnie is an amazing woman who fought apartheid with every fibre in her body, and in some ways acted unwisely. Many in South Africa look down on her as a result. I have always felt that whatever it was she did mistakenly, she was nevertheless a symbol of justice and freedom at times when such symbols were very lacking here. We needed her.

She is also something of a figure of contradictions - wearing designer clothes and claiming to be a spokesperson for the poor. But in fact she does articulate the aspirations and hopes of the poor and they respond with tremendous love for her.

During her time of banishment to the little town of Brandfort in the Free State Province she did amazing work with the people there - helping to build their self-esteem and give them some hope for a better life, and at the same time helping them organise and develop self-sufficiency. And she was of course tireless in her support for Nelson Mandela.

She comes from the part of the Transkei where my father taught from 1960 to 1963. Indeed her brother had been a teacher at the school of which my father was principal, but before my father's time. The Madikizelas are a well-known and respected family in the area.

Thanks also for the link - very much appreciated!

Love and peace

Yeah, I know Tony. Claire got me started on Winnie, and then Christopher Anton told me about the Necklacing. I'm not so willing to forgive such a cruel murderer as others may be. The bitch is right there with Rick Perry in my book. I'm so pissed off right now that I'm going to have to listen to some soothing music to get past it, and drink my herbal tea called "calm."

I'm not condoning anything like that shit, Tony just seems like the kind of guy that who would not mince words and I was surprised he wasn't pissed. Please calm down, it ain't worth all that. I'm working on a hub about Leonard Cohen, go listen to some of his early shit. That'll bring you WAY down.

LOL! Yeah, Tony is older and much wiser than I, plus he's there, I'm "attempting to calm down" with Glenn Danzig's "Satan's Child."

Bring out the Leonard! Leonard's tha man.

Sorry, Todd, I didn't mean to make you so angry. :(

Her acts and those she endorsed were despicable and only a thoroughly evil person could do that, not a victimised person of Apartheid.

This is a lot of controversy surrounding journalists taking pictures of horrific things and not doing anything. As much as it is seems incomprehensible that someone could take pictures while someone is suffering, the public would not have any evidence that necklacing took place if journalists didn't film them. Without people like Carter, you wouldn't be able to have posted that youtube video of necklacing. Journalists and photojournalists are our eyes to the outside world.

You know that cop actually has to apologise to that witch? Imagine you having to apologise to her? Either that or lose your job and not be able to feed your family.

Wesman Todd Shaw profile image

Wesman Todd Shaw 6 years ago from Kaufman, Texas Author

He had to apologize, Claire. . . .just so he could be suspended, I guess. I hope he's suspended with pay. I know what he's going through, sort of, I've had to do political apologies before when I worked for the Dallas school district.

I've got to hurry up and think about something else, I'd never even know that woman's name until yesterday, of course I recognize her pictures though.

Todd - Ma Winnie is a controversial figure, but I think you have allowed your anger, which is understandable, to take over here - calling her a "murderous whore" oversteps decency and goes beyond good sense. This is approaching hate speech and slander. The apartheid regime in power at the time of the infamous and dreadful "necklacing" was doing things as bad and worse to those who were engaged in a legitimate struggle for freedom.

Now I am not in any way condoning "necklacing" which is a barbaric act - so don't get me wrong on that. And it has to be placed in context, the context of a violent, vicious, racist, indeed white supremacist, government which had historical ties with the nazis and followed some of their ideological ideas.

So it was barbarism creating barbarism - the vicious cycle of violence. And the guns and other sophisticated weapons were all in the hands of the oppressors, the government, which had all the power of the state and used that power to oppress blacks. Indeed the police and army were used far more to keep blacks "under control" than to combat crime or protect the country. It was a vicious time. My own wife went to jail for opposing the racist apartheid regime. And that was very, very mild compared with what other opponents of apartheid suffered.

People were jailed without trial, tortured and killed in police cells and in special facilities set up for the purpose, with any normal oversight.

So yes, Winnie Mandela did horrible things, but let's not let our outrage over what she did overshadow the evil that was oppressing her and her people.

There are also, many people around the world who did far worse, not that I think it is too helpful to get into a grading of atrocities - atrocious is atrocious!

And yes people need to know about these things, there is no doubt. We need to see what happened at Abu Ghraib, My Lai, the World Trade Centre, and what apartheid soldiers did in the townships, as well as what the people did in response. It is all evil, horrible stuff. Suppressing it will only add to the madness.

Love and peace

FYI - and update:

That policeman who was doing his job and following orders to pull over reckless drivers before getting pushed around by her bodyguard was fired for doing his job. How dare he pull over a criminal, just because he didn't realize who it was. This just goes to show how justice works in SA.

@tonymac 5 years ago

Hi Tony, perhaps you should also not believe all the ANC lies?

No doubt some nasty stuff happened during Apartheid, but there are A LOT of lies by the ANC, PAC and SA Communist Party, all of which had been going on for decades. As Mark Twain said: "A lie travels around the world 6 times while the truth is still pulling up its pants"...

For example, they used to throw money in the trash so the kids will be scrounging through rubbish so that photos of this could be used to say "oh they're so hungry & oppressed; they're eating from garbage bins".

Wesman, in the eyes of many American blacks, Winnie Mandela is a patriot and heroine. Even though many are aware of her heavy involvement in "necklacing" and other crimes, they insist on viewing her as a "role model".

Thank you very much for writing and publishing this hub. Actually, you performed a public service.

Hey feenix, I got so upset when I found out about this, and then found out what "necklacing" was that it not only ruined my day, but half the next day as well. It gave me a huge headache.

I appreciate you thinking this a public service - I sure as hell had never known of a connection between the Mandelas and such horrific murders. I'm positive that most people don't know about that at all.

Dear God....I don't know why I chose to read this....except that I love your work, Wes, & try to read as many of your hubs as I can in my free time. Wes, as horrendous as this needs to be exposed and I applaud you for taking this subject to print. Look, I have a difficult time with people being nasty to their dogs.......maybe I'm just a crybaby. you should also stop making mandela to appear like a saint, the media loves this guy too much, you use winnie to clean him up. i hope this will be my last comment. You are right the surname Mandela is given a false honor because they never mention Nelson's faults, how about the time when he ordered the bombing of a radio station and sexual abuse of women in his ANC, not to mention his womanising. If you want to know the real Mandela ask Evelyn, his first wife. The media and whites love this guy too much, he is just a man and important as much as Tambo and Biko. Please let go of potraying Winnie as the demon and Mandela as an angel, both of them have serious faults.

Order the book called YOUNG MANDLA written by Davd James Smith, you will undrestand how much Mandela's memoir was desingned to build the cult around him. How would South Africa have been different if its rulers do not emphasise transparency and responsibility for their mistakes?

Mzee 4 years ago

sorry for the spelling mistakes YOUNG MANDELA by David James Smith, I also just found out that one of men that received military training in ANC's Umkhonto Wesizwe wrote a poem that it is torture campus, you should find out but it wont be easy coz S.A media don't want to expose them.

I feel so sorry for Winnie, everybody is lashing on her and not the apartheid torturers, she is taking all the blame. I don't even know their names. Mandela said FORGIVE THEM, but hear what white fellows say about the mother of his children. I have never seen an article talking ill of Steve Biko's killer!

Angelina 3 years ago

The thing is Winnie spent a lifetime being hauted and oppressed, which was highly likely that she can be disturbed. And then ANC gave her too much power, which was wrong because giving power to someone who went through such experiences leads to disaster. Look at people like Shaka(Zulu king) and Robert Mugabe's backgrounds. Their experiences created pain , anger, bitterness and rage that created monsters and believe me, you cant give a monster power unless you want that monstrousness on you. Lots of people suffered but they never had such power as winnie did.

"4July 21 1970. Madikizela-Mandela reveals how, even after the handful of visits, wardresses would search her cell and she would find what little clothing she had missing, her suitcase gone and food brought by her relatives taken away. She did not even have panties to change into.

“Bezuidenhout (a white Afrikaans-speaking wardress who was new to the torture block of cells) brought me the following items: In one dixie (metal plate) there were a few glucose sweets, two halves, beef sticks, two rotten oranges and two pieces of cheese, unwrapped.“Being held incommunicado was the most cruel thing the Nationalists ever did.

I’d communicate with the ants, anything that has life. If I had lice, I would have even nursed them.

That’s what this solitary confinement (does)."Winnie Mandela.

Richard 3 years ago

The double standards that people use are sickening.

"How dare you slander the woman, she did such amazing things! She only tortured a few hundred people, for Christ's sake... let it go! Focus on the good and stop hating on the poor woman! What, do you hate women black people or something?"

Fuck that. Show me the worst psychopathic murderer in a prison somewhere, the most sadistic human being on the planet.... and I guarantee I can find at least ONE redeeming quality to the person. Maybe they appreciate sunsets or something. The good does not cancel out the bad, people are not one-dimensional math equations. Adults are responsible for their own actions. This psychotic bitch tortured people to death. And Nelson Mandela, himself the leader of a massive terrorist organization involved in the bombing of hundreds of innocent civilians (women, children, no discrimination), fell in love with her. It's no wonder so many Western leaders praise the man - he was a psychotic mass murderer, and apparently his wife was too.

Wesman Todd Shaw profile image

Absolutely right, Richard!

Anne Rule says that when she worked with Ted Bundy at a suicide hotline that if anyone who they really did think was going to commit suicide called, they gave the phone to Ted because Bundy could talk ANYONE out of hurting themselves. Things like that, and that is only one example out of billions, as there are billions of us on the planet.

Me? I'm glad Ted got the death penalty, he'd have escaped prison, murdered more girls. Winnie, or Nelson...same damned thing. It's only the end result anyone is looking at, nobody bothers with the Winnie or the Nelson that became the person to where the television will only tell one part of's tale.

During the late 70's we knew the real enemy, and they were the Communists. Know a Navy man, I had to know the weapon load before we went to sea. Sailing down in the Southern Ocean, south of the Australian continent, we were hunting for the big Russian ballistic submarines (Nuclear) and their deisel subs. The deisels were our particular enemy, because they are so quiet, but their range is limited and they need refuelling. So the Communists needed a blue water, all year round harbour in the Southern Hemisphere. South America is a basket case, that was out of the question, Australia came close during the Whitlam years, but the Commos failed thank God, so that left South Africa. Doesn't take a great leap of faith to know who the Communist masters in the Kremlin saw as their golden boy. Just read the fucking record!!!!!
