    Should Wiener resign?

is his actions on twitter a reason for his resignation?

Yes, I am tired of seeing these jerks cry and say they are sorry only because they intend to stay in Congress. Let me see him resign and apologize, then I might believe him.

If you listen closely to the explanation, Wiener is trying oh so hard to make the point that nothing he did was illegal but did it border on potentially being abnormal. We live in a time today when folks seek elected office and want to continue with their quirky little lives. When they get caught, they want everyone to turn a blind eye and let them continue on in their position.  I don't think so. I don't want Wiener and company making any decisions about how my tax dollars are spent. He needs to take that circus act of his on down the street and possibly add an organ grinder and a monkey to the act. WB

I think he should. He has caused his integrity to be questioned through his own actions and then lying about them. He has lost the respect of his colleagues and constituents. For the good of his district he should now take the high road and resign.

Yes. He has proven himself untrustworthy and dishonest.

Wiener fought very hard to help the first responders who are still sick from 9/11. He made very passionate plea for these victims. Many first responders including firemen and policemen are still suffering injuries and lung problems. Many other politicians mainly Republican refuse to help those victims and rather protect the rich from paying their due taxes.
I want my tax dollars to benefit those victims rather than provide subsidies for the oil companies and corporations.

While nobody is perfect, I feel those denying medical help to those victims of 9/11 should resign first. I have bigger issues with politicians who neglect sick than with those who have fallen to temptations of the flesh. Christ had the same view.

If Christ was here, he would say you better be perfect before you cast the first stone on Wiener. I am to assume those of you here condemning Wiener are perfect?

I believe he should resign, because we now know he is a liar, that he cannot keep his vows (wedding).  So how do we know he can or will keep his vows of office.  No, he needs to go.

he shouldn't resign.  he's guilty of a stupid act, granted a titilating one, but just stupid, so far.  the same republicans calling for his resignation were the same people defending vitter and ensign for much worse behavior.  at least this guy didn't hold himself up as a paragon of virtue.
if we got rid of all the people who did stupid things, the only people left in the capitol would be the cleaning crew.
get off it.  people need work, houses, health care.
