Do you believe America is headed to a class war.

Time Magazine just did a piece on the London riots, saying they weren't racially motivated, rather were class war among the poor versus rich classes and that the only country with more disparity between rich and poor than England is the US.

So long as the rich buy politicians in both parties to protect the interests of the wealthy and corporations at the expense of working class we will continue our plunge toward class war and until we hit bottom I will be sharpening my rapier, waiting, and writing.

The answer to that question is very complicated because the hypothetical American conflict to which you refer would actually be between the working poor and what I call the "working rich" (merchant class or speculatory capitalist class).

I believe we have been in a class war for several years now.  It is getting worse because the economy is so bad.  The reason the bad economy has an effect on the class war is because as spending cuts need to be made, the lower class or people that live day by day on the entitlements start kicking and screaming as soon as cuts need to be made to their entitlement programs.  That is why the left in our country never want to make the necessary spending cuts because as soon as they start taking away from the people that always depend on the entitlements they will riot and cause uprisings to fight the so-called rich, or anyone that has more than them or believes that entitlements should be cut.  The problem is that by having an entitlement state you make people dependent on those entitlements and then they get the sense of ownership to that entitlement and believe it can never be taken away.  That is typical class warfare.  It has been here for a long time but yes, you will see it get a lot worse and there will be fighting and rioting in our streets very soon.  It will only end when our politicians decide to take the fraud out of the entitlements so only people that actually need them temporally will get them.  We are in for a long hard war in this country and it is getting closer than you may believe.

If the gap keeps widening between the rich and poor , I think there is a very good chance.  Then Middle Class is quickly disappearing!
