   I does feel that the magical feeling is gone but in return, I felt happier during these times as I am able to be with my friends and family. Not sure why but I don't feel that when I was small. Maybe I was too busy with presents?

   If you're expecting to get great gifts like children do, then yes, I think Christmas would lose its magical feeling for adults. If you realize as an adult that Christmas is about giving rather than receiving, I think Christmas retains its true magical feeling.
   
   I don't receive many presents for Christmas anymore, but I get great joy from giving to others, especially my children. To watch the 'magic' in their faces is all I need on Christmas morning.

   No, it doesn't. Although one gets old, the memories of childhood Christmases remain etched in the mind and heart. If Christmas is celebrated together with the whole family even as we get old, it becomes even more magical.

   No really. The focus just changes. When we are kids it's all about a "me" mentality. Our only concern is with what (we get) or receive. When you become an adult you get a "magical feeling" from making another person's face light up. We still enjoy seeing the beautiful lights and decorations of homes in our communities. Everyone also loves to have time off from work as well as spend time with their family and significant others.

   I did for many years but when I had a child of my own it returned. It's not the same as when I was a child but it's touching to see the joy and excitement in his eyes.

   Great question! I don't think it loses it's magical feeling, at least not in my case. Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I think it's because of the goodness that comes out of people. More giving, more caring, and more love is expressed during this season.
   I love the holiday movies, the Christmas television specials and the songs that come out at this time of the year. Many of which have a magical feeling expressed with peace, hope and love. It is in those with great imaginations that can listen to the bells and hear that Christmas magic. Like in the movie, "Polar Express" where the boy only had to "believe".
   You see I'm a dreamer, and to me, there is still a magical feeling that fills the air during the Christmas season.

   Discovering the magic of Christmas can be found all around us.
   Finding inspiration during the season can be found in the Holiday Movies as well.
   What can we learn from the Grinch? What does the Scrooge teach us about ourselves?
   Is Christmas losing its magic? As a child we believed but as we become adults we lose that sense of magic.

    I think at some point it does.  Things seem to become more materialistic as our lives become more hectic with school or work.

    It doesn't for me because there are still young children in my family who believe in Santa. That's what gives it the magical feeling for me.

    I love Christmas but think there's a danger of it becoming over commercialized.  I personally hate christmas lists - giving should come from the heart not the head.  Issuing a list of required presents just does not do it for me at all I'm afraid, though it makes me unpopular with some members of the family when I politely decline to use their lists...

    I love Christmas so much! It's a great time to reflect on the last year and also the time with family. While I do not get as excited as my kids do, I get a great deal of pleasure seeing my children so excited.

    It hasn't for me.  I like everything about Christmas-baking the cookies, family time, the decorations and more.  I have children of my own so for me it is great to see them excited and happy on Christmas too.  I think the magic of Christmas is more about family and friends.  Also about giving not so much about receiving.
