Why Should People Care About Fixing The World?

Because this world is ours to take care of.  Because we want something beautiful to leave to those who come after us.  Because we care. Because, in the end, what else do we have?

God put us here as caretakers of this world and as such it is our responsibility to well, take care of it. It is unfortunate that as we have progressed as a society and become industrialized we have managed to reek havoc on our environment. Our air and water are polluted. Our forests are disappearing, our polar icecaps are melting, and all of this makes a change in the environment. The weather changes and becomes erratic, the oceans becomes unstable, we begin having increased earthquakes, the temperature changes, so many things have begun happening because of our "progress". We have become dependent on a way of life that is killing the earth and us. If we do not do all we can now to begin fixing the problem we have started our children, their children and generations to come will suffer the consequences until the earth is not fit to live on or God returns and takes His home. That is why!

Just to make it a better, safer and happier place to live in. If we did we'd all live longer.  Less people would die due to terrorist attacks and wars...

well we could always go the alternate route like -- say -- mussolini, adolf hitler, mao tse tung, stalin to name a few.  yes -- why bother caring about fixing the world, hmm?
