Yes, food prices have been rising quickly around here. However, the higher prices have had some good effects in our household. We eat less, for one, and mostly fresh fruits and veggies, which are easy to get where we live. Also, I cut out meat, sugar, and wheat, and I feel so much better. I don't think it's wrong to eat meat, but the way it is raised is wrong, and if you buy meat that is raised responsibly and fed grass instead of grain it costs $15 and upward per pound.
Just thinking about these meat issues has put me off it. Ugh. So it's not all bad. I think a lot of illness in the U.S. is caused by eating meat that is pumped full of chemicals, hormones, and antibiotics, then sold in some debatable form of freshness and cleanliness.
