Attorney General Holder is being asked to resign. Is that racist?

The Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on WH leaks is putting Eric Holder's ass to the fire for appointing two US attorneys to investigate the leaks instead of an outside counsel and for misleading and being uncooperative regarding the Fast and Furious gun-running operation.  Holder is the first Black Attorney General, and he's a total mess up.

Why would that be racist. If the person does not do there job and violate ethics then they should be removed. Weather they are Black,Green,Purple, Or Martian. I get tired of people always using the racist card. Its like the old story of the boy who yelled Wolf. If you are a screw up you go if you do your job you stay.

Handyman, I'm just heading off liberals up at the pass.  Normally any criticism of Obama's administration usually comes with some primal scream that accuses racism.

Cassie, I must travel in the wrong circles. I don't remember any criticisms of Obama's administration being called racist except for the ones that were, well, racist. (Some of those Senators have potty mouths and should be ashamed.)

I don't think it's racist. I know that if I effed my job duties up that I'd lose a customer and not get paid. It's the same even if you're an employee. Handymanbill is right on.

Only if the decision is based upon race.

No, it's not racist. Holder himself is racist, as he has shown on more than one occasion, but the congressmen demanding his departure aren't. Their position is corruptist, incompetentist, arrogantist and politicizist. They're offended by those things, and Holder represents them. Their action isn't racist, though.

He's the Attorney General of the greatest nation on this planet. I'd be pretty annoyed with anyone who tries to pigeonhole him into a victim class. He doesn't need to be sheltered. I'm tired of politically correct ninnies and their reverse racism.

And I realize you're not doing that. smile

Eric Holder is one of the most controversial and bloodthirsty heads of the DOJ this nation has ever seen. He deserves prison. In the last 70 years, when attorneys general ceased being the "top federal lawyers" in the land and instead started calling themselves the "top law-enforcement officials" in the land, we were ruined.

The office of Attorney General is one which should be held to the absolute highest standards in terms of integrity for those in whom the office is entrusted.  Although the practical realities of any administration make removing politics from the equation difficult, this office above all others is expected to hold justice above politics, regardless what the situation might be.

If the person holding this office is unable to do so, then, be it by his own accord in the form of a resignation; or through dismissal by the President; or through Congressional impeachment (yes, an Attorney General can be impeached) he should vacate his charge.  This is not an issue of race, it is simply an issue of holding up the highest standards which one should expect for that office.

I have no clue how you would think that is racist.  He violated public trust and handled the situation horribly.  These politicians should be held accountable.  All of them!

Not if the reasons he's being asked to resign for are concerned with his job, as opposed to his race.
