Is personal freedom encroachment if you obliged people to get health insurance?

What is the difference between health needs with other basic needs like housing and education etc. For example, there are laws that obliged parents to educate their children to avoid truancy and the state has the right to punish the parents if they don't comply with it.

Why can't the state force people to get health insurance?

You might want to take a look at the following article about "cradle to grave" medicine in the Soviet Union and other European socialist states:

I'd also pay attention to the part where he goes over rationing of health care and how the elderly are discriminated against.  This is the end result of any collectivization of any area of human endeavor.  JM claims that we do a poor job of feeding people?  Perhaps that is because we actually pay people not to grow crops in order to keep food prices artificially high.  It could be worse though, we don't have farming collectives like the old Soviet Union which accounted for famines in the USSR, something that hasn't happened in the West for almost 2 centuries.

Well, I’ve been a Hub Page player for not quite two days and I was really concerned about what topic I would devote to my first Hub page. Thank you, Alexandriaruthk and Ledefensetech. This is a topic upon which I have spent much time. Enough time to

Ladefensetech, Still health is an important aspect of individual overall needs. The reason we belong to a society is that we are dependent with each other. Of course there is greed everywhere!

Sure we're all in this together, the real question is do you want to force people into a decision or do you want them to have choice.  Look at the Soviet Union, they tried the one size fits all farms and couldn't feed their people, the US could.

Today. SCOTUS will release the healthcare decision they have already made. I'll be posting hubs describing Universal Health care as it really is in the industrialized nations. A group of 33 nations were only 1 has no universal health care. Guess Who?

A majority of the world's nations practice autocratic governments, that doesn't make autocracy a good idea.
