For Christians, it brings them joy to introduce someone to God, not for brownie points but because they care. There is a lot of outdated beliefs that some cannot connect too which is understandable.
Understandable, but two things about that. First is what I mentioned above, because people inside and outside the Church are going to make you feel uncomfortable at some point in time. It's just how life is, how you react is what defines a person.

I feel patronized because I believe in God. I know He exists. I can't explain why were are here, but I feel that it is right. There are unexplained things every day. What if science is the proof that God exists?
Simply science is not the proof of that at all. I don't know how you "know" that god exists (I suspect you believe) and there is nothing wrong with believing things but beliefs are not on par with facts.
I know because I feel it. If that is not a good enough reason, than neither does love or happiness or any feeling.
But how do you know that science is not just a peek into how God made the world?
Love and happiness are felt sure but they are chemical equations at heart, we know what chemicals cause happiness (namely dopamine) and the combination of chemicals that cause love no such thing for god. Science is demonstrable fact, god is not.
well arent you a romantic? :) it is interesting to see this from your point of view and i understand what u are saying. But life is so much more than that.
I am actually :P but I do like to understand things intellectually as well as emotionally,
I understand. It just bothered me that science is "true" but God could not. I believe in evolution and dinosaurs and science, but I believe that we are still very naive about science.
Doesn't give me enough room to write two comments. But second thing is endurance, unless you're built to take a beating from trying to get people to convert, after a few years you'll just burn yourself out.
