According to articles I've read on numerous sites and heard on the news Biden was supposed to be going to Tampa to show support for people protesting the RNC Convention. Check the web and television.

To have a member of the incumbent Presidential ticket say a week ahead of time that he will be campaigning in the same town is lame and desperate. The point was disrespect, but we all know there is no respect expected.
actually I think it is pretty common...
"The point was disrespect," is ludicrous. Shouting down a standing POTUS during a State of the Union address with "You lie" is what real disrespect looks like.
Here's a rundown on the breach of etiquette this represents:
The left has never valued anything above power for itself. Ethics are not part of its world.
Thank you, Attikos!
You're welcome, Jayfort. Your critics in this thread know you're right, it's just that campaigns like this one, close and filthy, make people a little crazy. They forget there are things more important than winning.

Where is the evidence of such an agreement, Jayfort?
It's not in writing but has a historic precedence. Traditionally, each political party's big candidates stayed out of the convention cities of the other party during the conventions.
You'd have to find a gentleman in the Obama camp in order to have any expectation that old courtesy would be honored.
You'd have to find a gentleman in the GOP camp as well. After years of birtherism, I'd say they have sacrificed any expectation of courtesy.
Oh, have they too announced that they will violate the courtesy of party time? I hadn't heard that, though after this it wouldn't surprise me.
