What would you do in your first 100 days as President?
"Pop quiz hotshot": it's Tuesday, January 22nd, and it's your first full day in the White House; what do you do?
Your party has overwhelming majorities in both the House, and the Senate, so your agenda will have no trouble getting pushed through.
Take some time and tell us how you would start to get things back on track, or better yet, create a Hub outlining your first 100 days.
(for fellow "Constitution Nerds" out there, relax, the 20th is on a Sunday in 2013).
Wow--that's a tough question! Firstly, I'd have to love interacting with people politically and have served in the political system many years before even considering serving as U.S. President; however, I think every president should have a year or two of farming background to know what it's like to work physically (not mentally) hard and appreciate those persons in our country who have little or no money.
In listening to the Democratic Convention, I was impressed that President Obama actually takes time to read individual letters sent to him. Eleanor Roosevelt used to travel across the country, talk to people, and then report to Franklin about peoples' concerns. Communication with the common people is an absolule must and would, undoubtedly, be the first priority on my agenda.
The next thing I would want to do would be aware of the state of our ecology across the nation--air cleanliness, water purity, and soil balances of our food sources. A healthy environment supports healthy people, which would do much to curb the cost of health care. If my Secretary of the Interior didn't have a full report, I'd send him out of the Oval Office until he had one. (Otherwise, I'd have to visit growers, major cities, and open lands myself to get the information I needed.)
Somehow I would want my cabinet members--and congressional members, for that matter--to recite a pledge daily, "I am here to protect and serve the people of the United States in their freedoms and pursuit of happiness in accordance with our Constitution under God."
I would begin each meeting or discussion with at least three minutes of silence to calm and focus the emotions and minds of the participants, thus allowing them to tune into their higher consciousness.
I would push for a flat tax on earned income and capital gains to spare honest taxpayers the gruesome income tax instructions they have to read year after year.
After that, I'd have to base my agenda on what my advisors and my intuitive deemed were the most critical issues at hand, such as natural disaster areas, crime areas, oil spills, etc. And, I'd have to be able to transcend all the potential stress that could result in facing these problems.
If I could make it through day "one," I expect the following days of my term would be similar--but, I must confess, I don't really see myself as presidential material. I would want to be fluent in Russian, Mandarin Chinese, and Arabic languages. In all humility, I'd have to listen to God.

Wild rumors fly during campaign time, and one of them is that Obama has an anti-American agenda that he has actively pursued and in the process has hurt our country. What do you think?
