In fact there is at least a section of Palestinians of whom this is true. Hamas have in the past stated openly that their sole aim is to destroy Israel and that they will never accept a 2-state solution. They have also said in the past that they will negotiate to get land, purely to use that land as a stepping stone in the plan to destroy Israel.
However, Romney seems to make sweeping generalizations and apply negative judgments universally. He sees things in black and white. This is not helpful as it does not advance us toward a solution when the situation is not that simple. It is important to see situations truthfully, but also to see them in breadth and depth. To simply take a position and be dismissive of any other consideration is not indicative of a man with statesmanlike qualities.
The U.S. is involved in managing peace talks, etc. in Israel. How would you ever get the Palestinians to the table with Romney as President? For Israel and other international situations, the wisdom of Solomon is required. Somehow I don't think he has it.
