   Someone tell me what either nominee has planned for helping the middle class?
   
   I am still an undecided voter. I hear a lot of talk about helping the middle class, but I never hear much about the actual plans to help. Does anyone know the specifics?

   Obama's plan for the middle class has failed; taxes have increased by $2,500  for the middle class family and small businesses who are taxed on their personal income tax return.  I can attest to this from personal experience.  I own a small business and my wife and I are paying more taxes this year than last year on basically the same income.  So I don't think that after 4 years we're going to see anything different from Obama because he wants to tax more so he can spend more.  Obama wants to raise the tax rate of 34% where most middle class families and small businesses fall, back to 39% where it was before the Bush tax cuts.  This would hurt those families and small businesses who are taxed at the individual rate.  By Obama's own definition, this is any family and/or small business that makes more than $250,000 per year gross income.
   
   I like Romney's plan, because as he stated in the debate last night, he plans to lower the overall tax rate which will benefit the middle class because the majority of jobs are created by small businesses which largely fall into the middle class.  By doing this, small businesses will be paying less tax on their business rather because most small businesses are taxed at the individual rate rather than a corporate rate, thereby taxing small businesses at a rate lower than what Obama wants to charge i.e. 39%.  A lower tax rate will help create jobs.

   If anyone actually knows, it's an extremely well-kept secret.  I don't see how any of the American people can figure out head or tails from their speeches and debates.  In all my voting history....a whole lot of elections.......I've finally resigned to the fact that we don't know, and we won't know, until "whoever" takes over the helm.  Even if we HEAR and understand what they CLAIM they intend to do......you do realize that there's something in the water at the White House and the air in the Oval Office, that transforms a man into a Werewolf.......don't you, peeples.?    It's true.  Ask anyone.

   Romney believes the economy is like a chia pet; sprinkle a tax break on it every day and watch it grow! Obama believes with proper regulation the economy will continue to gain momentum. Essentially you can choose between a plan we know doesn't work from past experience, or what is in essence no plan at all.
   
   The truth is the economy and well being of the middle class involves a myriad of factors, many of which the President has no control over. The things that a President can do to make small influences on the economy, spending, taxes etc. he/she can only do with cooperation from Congress. So whatever promises they make are in vain, they can't snap their fingers and make things happen.
   
   The only thing the President can do to directly affect jobs is hire/fire federal employees. Both candidates will do more firing than hiring, Obama will cost military and defense contractor jobs, Romney will cut social services jobs.
   
   Every four years the country is on the brink of disaster, heading down the road to socialism or fascism, a welfare state or oligarchy; but ultimately nothing happens. When someone becomes President they suddenly have access to information and resources the rest of us don't have. This change results in a normalization of beliefs and behavior that lines up with the expectations of the Office. In other words the system is stronger than the individual, and it doesn't matter much who is in office.

   Something I figured out during my days as a reporter:  The Republicans have this trickle-down theory that if they cut taxes, the money saved will "trickle down" from the rich to the middle class and even to the working poor. The result is a big deficit and a recession and the citizens get discouraged and disgusted. Then they put the Democrats in power who raise the taxes to try to clean up the deficit and put things back in order. The people are happy and enthusiastic at first until the realization hits that they are paying more taxes. Then they start grumbling about "tax and spend" and adding to the deficit, so they put the Republicans back in power and the cycle begins anew, The people can't win for losing.
   
   I would vote for the party that would bring our factories back from overseas. Neither party or its candidate is going to be able to create jobs until that happens. In the meantime, the middle class is SOL.

      It almost feels like the America's value system has to change!
      Who's to say the small businesses won't just keep all the money they're saving in tax breaks? And raising taxes keeps people from spending money, thus no economic stimulation. Hmmm huh?
