I would like nothing more than to believe that Obama's reelection will put this country on a path of positive change, but I'm afraid the walls of resistance have been firmly implanted to stop him at every juncture. Personally, I'm exhausted with all of the vicious name calling and divisiveness that has taken over. I place much of the blame on political pundits and the media for attempting to make stories where none exist. These people need to maintain relevance in an effort to keep stirring the pot of dissent, thereby staying on the air or in print. It seems as though everyone is a political junkie and expert today and we all, myself included, want our voices heard. Painting pictures of rosy fields or murals of fire and brimstone contrast one another, much like our politicians and their philosophies. Accordingly, unless and until both sides agree to concessions, I think we will be bogged down in endless arguments with little to no change in direction.
