Would you object to your teen ages 13-21 being screened for emotionally instability?

Teenagers are notoriously unstable, emotional, fickle and sometimes down right crazy. I've raised 3 girls and some days, weeks, years I just wanted to lock them away for a few years. But when my child threatened suicide I took action and got her help immediately. But in order to have adequate screening school officials; including teachers, nurses and guidance counselors as well as doctors and nurses would need special training to help us, help our children. Who pays isn't the question. Friday proved we all pay one way or another.

I realized after my comment I didn't include that I feel it's a family responsibility. The schools are the backup. We as parents are responsible for our children. Irregardless of neg feelings about the science a hands on parent knows.
