   Why does the department of homeland security need 450 million rounds of hollow point bullets?
   
   Hollow point bullets are the most deadly rounds there are, and with four hundred and fifty million rounds, that is enough to kill everyone in the USA.  So what kind of monster supports disarming the citizens while the domestic security force is armed to kill us all?  Is there any justification for DHS to have such munitions?

   That's a really good question and now that I know, I'm not happy about it. The Department of Homeland Security has earned a bad reputation in the past and it's not getting any better. They have no justification for that.

      Scary isn't it?  Hollow points are not cheap...and they mushroom out ...the most deadly ammo there is.  It's like our taxes have paid for our execution.

      I dont know much about ammunition, but it seems to me that the Hollow Point bullets should go very well with their Hollow Point heads.

   Sure is a very interesting question, especially when the Post Office, the Weather Service and Social Services are supposed  get some of these too.  The hollow points are not used for practice, but for body damage.  These are not military issue, but for  domestic use and the hollow point bullets have been banned by the Geneva convention.  The military uses 9mm and .45 normally, so what is behind this?  Also, what does the DHS need bullet proof booths with stop and go lights or anti-radiation (radiation fall-out) pills ?

   Seems to me that law enforcement personnel use hollow points as standard issue and use the same ammo for duty, training, and qualification. Nothing odd about that.
   
   While 450 million sounds like a lot it is a maximum amount and is over a five year span. Also, the DHS oversees 135,000 armed agents, so that many bullets is just 3,333 bullets per agent for five years. That is only 12 bullets a week, which actually doesn't sound like very much. Nothing odd about that either, and actually with such a large bulk purchase they should get a really good deal. You'd think people would be happy about that.
   
   For a guy who complains about the mass media, you sure seem to buy into some junk media. I don't get it. I understand your anti-government sentiments, but worrying about the ammo they buy seems like complaining about the type of rope the nooesman is using. We shouldn't have ever voted yes to the DHS in the first place. Do you realize they have more employees than General Motors? It's pretty astonishing when you think about it.

      Law enforcement personnel have to regularly qualify and train with their weapons. 50 rounds/month is only 4 magazines worth. Personally that seems like the bare minimum of practice they should be getting.

      Can you point to a single major law enforcement agency in the country (US) which does not use hollow points as standard issue or that doesn't train/qualify with their duty ammo? I can't. I guess Infowars knows better though.

      So there are more DHS officer than Border patrol agents.  Last week a discussion I heard on the radio put that around 13,000 agents and about 5,000 of them were not officers, but personal who deal with legal immigrants.

   Note -homeland security , like the national guard is made up of regular Americans . Most of that ammo , would be turned against a rouge  government .

   Having recently watched DHS in action I have no faith in them whatsoever about anything. I'd suppose they need enough ammunition to round up all Americans that don't agree with the government and place them in the prisons that have already been built to hold thousands in this country -- they're ready as we speak. Take note -- the razor wire points inward only.

       It has come out that DHS purchases of ammunition are 1.2 billion rounds, far more than previously admitted. That is what has dried up supplies on the local markets. It may be the purpose is precisely that: to buy it all up so you can't get any.

       Yes, that could be it. They set many on the alert too quick to get it all though and have no way of knowing who has what.
       Also the crooks who got the guns from the supply Obama sold also have an ammunition supply as large.
