It is difficult to answer your question when you place an image of a biased theory under it
Radical thesis concerning endangerment to individuals based on bias opinion does not equality create
Anyone can survive in a very poor country if they choose to defend for themselves the right to advance through freedom
It is only when dictators prey on the weak that the individual loses the freedom to survive. For dictators to secure their victims, they must have books like "The Price of Inequality" written and distributed to provide the propaganda that all things will be equal if you just let the government control it for you
The Nazi Party had this same approach - they introduced the National Socialist Program. Under this program they declared
"the people's right to self-determination"
"The activity of individuals is not to counteract the interests of the universality"
"a division of profits of all heavy industries"
"creation of a healthy middle class"
"freedom of religion within the state so long as they do not endanger its existence"
"formation of a strong central power "
Once in power, the Socialists then produced policies for
"immigration of non-citizens is eliminated and non-citizens must be exported"
"All writers and employees of the media must be members of the Socialist Party"
"Publications which are counter to the general good are forbidden"
"Non-Germans are forbidden by law any financial interest in German publications"
Professor Stiglitz promotes this same basic victim theory through his writing. Within his scope of control, the government is to be run by individuals possessing all power to invoke policy for equality. When society places faith in such central control, suppression through deceit rises.
The only true equal society is one based on personal choice, personal hard work, and personal accountability.
Government cannot provide for this when they promote discrimination through policy
Equality demands that prejudice be tolerated due to the uniqueness of each individual human
Equality demands that each individual must recognize that they are the same in all regards except self-expression
Equality demands respect, not intolerance
Equality is individually controlled, no ideological laws or policy required
In a very poor country, one must seek to employ self-sustaining actions that provide the subsistence and shelter required to withstand the climate and pressures of common existence
sometimes this requires depriving oneself of comforts
