I'm not sure if there really are 10.
People are afraid of (change and uncertainty). Oftentimes you hear some people say "Lets take this country back!" Back to when or where?
Whatever timeframe you consider to be the good ole days most likely there were people who were suffering then. There probably was less media coverage, no Facebook, Twitter, personal computers, 24 hour news channels and so forth....but there was never a time the whole world was living in harmony and prosperous.
Truth be told we judge the status of the country based upon our personal condition and people we actually know. It doesn't matter if the stock market is at an all time high, houses are more affordable, lower interest rates, violent crime in your town is lower....etc If you're unhappy.
As awful as some believe things are these are the days their children will look back on and call (their) "good ole days". They'll remember the music of the era, their first date/kiss, going to sport events, applying for college. "Perception is reality."
Right now there is someone laying under a hut on a white sandy beach in Cancun wearing sunglasses watching the waves roll in while sipping on a tropical drink, and listening to music on their iPod. They're living in the same world and times as everyone else. They're not thinking life sucks!
Most people would rather attempt to "change the world" than change themselves.
