The reality today is that some in the US no longer believe in government of the people, for the people, by the people. They want a corporation with an executive board and "employees" whose tax dollars end up as corporate profits. Sorry, no can do.

Chris..Seniors worked longer than you, paid into SS for half a century from every paycheck..and their salaries were a fraction of yours today. Sorry you can't retire at age 40. Time for Twerps to grow up.
Not really. My grandfathers salary bought him a house. Mine can't. My grandmother never earned a salary...yet she collected SS til 89 yrs of age. Wonderful. More power to them. Just don't then call other people in need lazy or entitled or bums.
Yes..Chris..I bought my home at age 19 on a $21,000 salary for $18,500..Tell me something I don't know. The problem with the younger generation is "Champagne appetites on beer pocket books." You want McMansions. We settled for far less. Sour grapes?
