Sure, force a woman to endure an unwanted pregnancy and to have a child she DIDNT' want in the first place. Boy, you are HUMANE!
If she did not want it in the first place, there were viable solutions, ranging from birth control to abstinence..... once a life is conceived, there is another entity involved, and the decision becomes shall I kill that life, or let it live.
Birth control is unfortunately not a 100% guarantee. I know a handful of women myself who conceived while using some method of BC.
So should everyone just not have sex until they want children?
Birth control is okay but not abortion. If you become pregnant but didn't plan it, sometimes accidents are good things. Babies are gifts. You never have 100 percent control over anything. Abortion is not the answer.
Oh! Okay then. Just tell a woman who is being forced to have a baby she took precautions to avoid that it's a gift. That will make it so much easier to parent a child.
Aime F, it seems that you cannot understand that children are not a convenience to be discarded when no longer desired because it would affect our life, and believe that therefore we can kill them for our personal selfishness.
That's a real shame.
I'm not talking about someone who decided to have a baby and then killed it when it kept them up at night. I'm talking about aborting a fetus when BC fails. If you can't understand the difference then THAT is a shame.
I can understand the difference you see, but not see the difference.
Once life has been formed, once two cells can multiply, without God's or mans intervention, a child will be produced. That's life, so to stop that life, is killing, that's a fact.
I hope that no one here who is so against killing of anything ever swats at bugs, eats meat of any kind, etc. A few cells is not a life or a baby. Early abortions are not "killing" a "baby". It's not infanticide its simply stopping a pregnancy.
ChristinS, well said and totally occur.
Personally I am only against killing babies and human beings, God gave us dominion over the other worlds (dominion = responsibility) to maintain them, and most animals for food. Living cells that will produce humans are indeed human life. Your choice

"So should everyone just not have sex until they want children?"
No, but everyone should consider that sex is designed to produce children, and once conception has taken place, the life conceived has rights and the 'parents' should consider them.
