   HRC in a landslide. The Democrats will start election day with about 250 electoral votes. All she needs is 270.    I still predict Hillary with 300 +. Trump barely cracking 190.  I believe many more women are voting for Hillary based on gender, but don't want to admit it. Trump will have to get at least 25% of his voters from women and non-whites.  Virtually impossible. 
   
   Remember, you have a soft press corps that will paint the election as the "misogynist" versus "grandma."  Regardless of my anti-Trump feelings, he will not get a fair shake in the media, just like any other Republican.

      A plausible scenario... I have heard more than one woman state they are voting for Hillary merely because it is time a woman 'had a turn'... no matter what type of corruption or political beliefs she may have, that doesn't seem to matter.

      Trump isn't going to woo over middle aged women since he's had 3 trophies for wives.  Gets tired of that?  Oh, well, he'll just go buy another one.  Maybe Hillary has a boy toy, too. who knows?  I don't like either of these candidates.

      What are your key/critical reasons for feeling Hillary is a better option? I can understand people have varying reasons... I myself think on two things, Obamacare and the Supreme court... and my second tier issue being Trade/tariff  agreements.

      Yes...  You could sum up Trump and Clinton as the Dishonest Buffoon VS the Corrupt Tyrant ... when you aren't a die-hard loyalist to one party or another, this pretty much sums up how they look as choices to most people... extreme outlook anyways.

   Lets break it down into its two key components.
   
   The popularity contest - Trump will win this, its what he does.  Obama was young and charismatic, McCain was old and ornery.  Reagan was cool and patriotic, Carter was critical of Americans and let our economy flounder.  Clinton will get a few million less than Obama, Trump will get a few million more than Romney... that tells you who will win.
   
   There is a similar mismatch here, Clinton is not a natural political speaker, she is not a people person... she has spent the last 16 years learning the political game and she still isn't good with connecting to the people, or hiding her arrogance and disdain.  She is the 68(?) year old wife of a cheating former ex-President, she has baggage, and she isn't charismatic.
   
   Trump is bombastic in the mold of Teddy Roosevelt, he is a force of nature that sweeps people up.  He is a strong pro-American personality, and he is an iconic figure... this is a bigger mismatch than Obama vs McCain.
   
   The economy - and by extension those things that are effecting it, and people's confidence in their future wellbeing.   Depending on how Obamacare has effected you, how well you have weathered more than a decade of stagnant wages, and whether or not you are one of the millions who have lost their jobs, or lost their retirement savings when the Mortgage crisis and Wall St. fleecing of America occurred... I would imagine the majority of Americans aren't overly confident of today's economy that has been propped up by Washington/Obama adding more than 12 Trillion to a 20 Trillion dollar National debt the past 7+ years.
   
   Right now I'd say the economy and jobs issue is leaning Trump's way, should the economy make a strong surge over the course of this summer and it last into the fall, this would greatly help Clinton... but if trends continue, this is going to be a weak summer for job growth, and with news of Carrier, Nabisco, Ford, etc. cutting thousands of jobs and moving to other countries, it can only hurt Clinton and aid Trump.
   
   There is a large portion of the population that would never vote anything but Democrat... that might be 45% of the population... but Clinton can't motivate them to vote like Obama could, so more of them will stay home than occurred in 2008 or 2012.
   
   Meanwhile there are people who have never voted in their lifetimes coming out to vote for Trump.  And every working stiff in the country that hasn't faired well the last decade will be voting for Trump if only because he is the anti-Washington candidate.

   We have already seen what Hillary and even Bill Clinton have done, and it is nothing that will help the country get out its decline. Trump is not a politician, but it was politicians that ran the country into the ground. Trump wasn't a part of that but Hillary Clinton was, well she was campaigning to be president, along with the entire congress in 2007 and 2008.
   
   We have been doing the same thing since the 1960s, and we have consistent results, failure and decline. The two parties have divided the US on party lines. Trump is trying to break the party line to benefit the people.
   
   Hillary is only going to continue the party line. Both parties won't compromise so gridlock would be in for another term.
   
   Hillary Clinton thinks she is above the law, and that she doesn't have to tell the truth about Benghazi, and her private email server with classified and top secret emails on it. If she thinks she did nothing wrong, then she shouldn't have to wait for the investigators to require her deposition. She should volunteer to take that deposition, so that the voters won't have to guess about her veracity.
   
   She has NO Accomplishments that benefited the country or  the people. And she flip flops so much, it looks like she didn't do anything. Spending her second term as NY Senator campaigning doesn't help the country or the people.
   
   She is not qualified to be president, she was totally rejected by her party in 2008, and she didn't do a good job as secretary of state. Now, the party has retreaded her, and is trying to sell her as Hillary Clinton 2.0. But that veneer is really thin, and it won't hold up against Trump.
   
   So we have a slick, EX Lawyer, as she can't practice, they took away her license, and a failed presidential candidate of 2008, with decades of very questionable events including Benghazi and her private Email server, as well as bailing on her second term which she spent campaigning. And she had no accomplishments.
   
   Trump is not a politicians so he has no political baggage. He has controlled the Republican Party since he entered this race, and also the media, and has taken down all his republican candidate opposition. Not bad for a non politician.
   
   The bar is set so low as the country is just skimming above the abyss, that actually neither Hillary or Trump can do measurable damage, but Trump is the X factor that could give that lift to the country to make it fly.
   
   Voting for Hillary means you didn't learn anything from US history.

      Ordinarily the country goes with the opposition party of a 2 term president. Then again there's usually a crisis, recession, or major scandal during second terms of a sitting president.

   Just going by the electoral college map it appears Clinton has a easier chance of reaching the 270 votes needed to become the next president.
   Eighteen states have voted Democratic in six consecutive elections with 242 electoral votes. If the Democratic presidential nominee can assume those states, she will spend the autumn of 2016 looking for 28 electoral votes, and she is favored find them.
   That assessment comes from noted conservative George Will.
   (Of course he also predicted Trump wouldn't be the RNC nominee.)
   The "blue states" give Clinton a major initial advantage.
   In order for Trump to win he will need to unite his party, hold onto all of the traditional "red states" and win over most of the "purple states" or swing states in addition to improving his numbers with women and minorities along with bringing people out who haven't voted before.
   If one had to bet their life on the election Clinton would be the safer bet. Many Republicans have said they won't vote for Trump.
   Having said that should there be an economic meltdown or terrorist attack between now and November anything can happen.
   As it stands now Trump supporters will not abandon their candidate and Clinton supporters will not abandon their candidate.
   A lot of folks vote with "emotion" or they {hate} one or the other candidate and they believe that will transition into a loss for them.
   However (looking at the math) of the electoral college map the odds are in Clinton's favor to reach the needed 270..
   The closest margin of victory for Clinton is by 2 electoral college votes and other predictions have her winning by 100+.
   It will be interesting to watch what happens on election night.

      The loyal party voter is a sheep, and swing states are real because the system doesn't work. It needs to be changed, and the loyal party voters need to demand the change. That is what Sanders, and Trump supporters are doing.

   Trump of course, people all over the world are no more interested in politicians, they are only interested in the man or woman who can put  bread on the table, and  speak out boldly, no matter whose ox is gored.The man or woman who will bring his or her wealth of experience in bussiness circles into politics and push the country forward economically.
   
   What most politicians pretend not to know about the country, Trump has made known, what other politicians fear to speak for fear of loosing votes, Trump has said and defended, insisting he does not hate anybody, but it is time to say the truth .
   
   More over. Hillary's" Fighting for Us" slogan, to me ,rather promotes division.

   With faith and prayer, I'd like to say Trump will win. Miracles usually happen last minute. But with just how corrupt just about everything running our lives has proved to be, I dread acknowledging the likeliness of Hillary.
   
   Money talks. With what should be the restoration funds for homes, wages and cities is inevitably the cards laid out to persuade big time companies, billionaires and whomever else is deemed more important than civilians, she is the one to vote for. It is not a matter of morals where the 'higher ups' are concerned, the civilians (American people) vote with spirit and desire (or selfishness and pure emotions) while corps and cons vote with long lasting self interest and the promise for an everlasting top spot.
   
   I will say Trump out of hope and faith. But from the way things have fallen over the last hundred years or so, I can't deny Hillary's likeliness.
   
   God help us.

   Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it will be Hilary.  Why?  Because I am a pessimist and don't trust any of our leaders to be fair.  We have had a black president for the first time in history, so the next step is a woman in office.  After that?  Maybe someone who is Chinese, Indian, Hispanic or a Middle Easterner.  People want to believe their vote counts like in the old days, but don't count on it.  And I don't think computers should be used to count votes, either.  There are lots of hackers out there.  I get told that I should not dwell on this stuff since it gets me riled up, but that's part of my job as a citizen to question things and try to the best of my ability, to vote for whom I think will do the least damage.  You notice how I said the "least" damage instead of saying, "I'd vote for the best."  There aren't any best.  And probably it doesn't matter who you vote for, anyway
