    WW3 in 2017?

RAND: NATO would be overrun by the Russians in the Baltic countries in less than 60 hours. RAND advocates preemptive nuclear first strikes against Russia. Is WWIII inevitable? The office of California Senator Dianne Feinstein stated that the 2017 Intelligence Authorization Bill “requires the president to establish an interagency committee to counter Russian active measures.” The Pentagon seems to be scrambling to prepare for WW3. They are determined to meet Russia’s increasing aggression in Europe with a budget amounting to $3.4 billion.  Currency war>trade war>hot war?

Something inside says that there will be no war next year. I can't explain why, but I really don't think so, although there are so many threats, not just in Russia but in China. North Korea is pretty nuts so anything can happen. But I don't see it happening next year. Hopefully, I am right.

We haven't won a war in the last one hundred years, thanks to the politicians who start them. There is no reason to use nuclear weapons, even when the USSR was most powerful.

We can't even beat ISIL and ISIS, much less Afghanistan, and now we are going to get involved in another war. If that is what they are currently gearing up in the WH now, then it is no wonder why we can't stop terrorism.

The EU wants to have its own Army now that Britain has left the EU. So let the EU do what they want about the problem.
The US and its politicians didn't care about the Ukraine or Eastern Europe at the end of WWII. Those countries went from free to NAZIS controlled, then to the control of the USSR.

Why is the US interested today?

I doubt it will be 2017.  Maybe some years later.  But not next year.

World War 3 is resurgent fundamentalist Islam versus everyone else. Look at all the car bombings across the Middle East taking out moderate Muslims, Buddhist school teachers beheaded in Thailand for teaching Muslim girls science and secular ideals, Chinese and Russia public transportation bombed by Muslim separatists, Muslim fundamentalists killing people in the US and EU, Egyptian and Pakistani Christians regularly mob attacked on Fridays on the rumor they want to build a church.

A good preview of the end result is Dan Simmons' story the Time Traveler
