Scott Adams of Dilbert fame says leaked Trump tape not important (goo.gl/K0aASq) Do you agree?

The basic gist of what Adams says is this:
    1) Most knew trump was like this before the tapes
    2) Compared to bill's sexcapades (and hillary's responses to the women abused women) Trump has plenty of fodder to attack hillary
    3) The timing coinciding with more leaked emails from hillary - once again contradicting what she says in her staged "Town Hall" meetings
    4) Most men can relate to what Trump says on the tape, though most are smart enough to never say that in front of their wives or girlfriends
    5) Trump already admitted he has a big ego and is pushy.
    Thoughts?

    1) Knowing and seeing are very different things. Even so, I'm not sure most did know. If Trump supporters knew anything, they wouldn't be Trump supporters.

    2) If he calls Bill a scumbag then he calls himself a scumbag. Not a very effective strategy.

    3) No idea. I stopped paying attention to anything involving Clinton and emails about 5 minutes after the first time I heard of it.

    4) Most pigs can relate to what other pigs say. Men, however, find it disgusting and completely unacceptable.

    5) Ego and pushy are fine. Sexually assaulting women is not.

"Actions speak louder then words," is a useful idiom in this case. Dilbert and other Trump supporters can talk all they want, but watching how many people are jumping overboard makes it pretty clear that this does in fact matter.

So, you're saying we should forget the lies hilary's told about
      1) Benghazi
      2) Email fiasco
      3) The Clinton Foundation being a fraud
      4) Whitewater
      5) Her almost collapsing
I know, I'm a deplorable - white, racist and uneducated..
      Thx Hillary!

Well, you SHOULD forget about such nonsense, but I didn't say anything about that. You asked about Trump. I answered about Trump. All the Hilary bashing in the world isn't going to make him less of a turd.

This is exactly the problem with this presidential race.  Both candidates have bad points.  The question is, which is worse? If you look at the FACTS about the level of lying from both, you'll very quickly discover Trump is a much bigger liar.

Just what I want in the White House, someone who lies less that the other guys and gals.
Similar to the lesser of two evils - liars a lair and evil is evil.
The great role of our politicians who can lie, show that they lie less than the other guy

      John
I agree with you. Actions speak louder than words, and Bill Clinton as gov and president like to spread his dna. He was impeached for it. These tapes are noting more than a left wing red herring. They had to go back to 2005 to snag that herring

The only importance that tape has is to deplorable die hard Hillary supporters who have to point to anything they possibly can to bring Trump down to Hillary's level. They think that if they do that Hillary will stand some sort of chance of winning a contest that they can make look like voting for the least of two evils, at best.

The problem with that is that the election really isn't about whether Trump's language 10 years ago or even today is as bad as Hillary's life long career of scandals, lies, lying about lying, abuse of women, pay to play schemes and even cheating a candidate of her own party out of the primaries by secretly getting the media and the DNC to do dirty tricks for her and bribing the super delegates (not to mention her non existent list of meaningful accomplishments).

This election is about the policies that will make America great again and continuance of the policies that have put America on the wrong path which is what the vast majority of Americans believe based on polling.

There probably isn't an American alive who hasn't thought or said something in private as distasteful (or worse) as that clip by Trump and the thing is people, if they are honest with themselves, know it and will take that into consideration when their vote for the future of the country is at stake.

Talk about deplorable, what could be more deplorable than a woman, Bill's wife, shilling for and protecting and enabling a sicko like Bill Clinton to trample on and abuse women, 100's I'm sure, for his lifetime. No real woman would stay married to, let alone aid and abet such an excuse of a man no matter what the cost.

"There probably isn't an American alive who hasn't thought or said something in private as distasteful (or worse) as that clip by Trump".   Truly?  Goodness, in that case I'm very glad I'm not an American woman if that's how primitive the country is

Yes Marisa, you'd be much better off in Saudi Arabia where they could chop off your nose because you offended a man, where a woman is not allowed to drive or interact with other men without her father or husband's permission... America is much worse

Well Ken, that shut up the holier than though person. If only you could really see and hear her inner thoughts when she doesn't know she is on tape.

Well, I've never said anything like that and don't find it surprising at all that Trump supporters find it common. That should probably tell you something about the company you keep.

You are all kidding about the "distasteful" words of Trump, right?
Hillary laughing as she gets a rapist of the hook?
You ever watch beer commercials, pushing beer as sweat slips down the body of some babe? Around her breasts, down her butt?
      LOL

Trump is a turd. It doesn't matter how many times you change the subject. Sure I've seen it. What I haven't done is grab it, try to grab it, suggest grabbing it, or imply it was okay to grab it. That's the difference between a man and a scumbag.

Yeah, I don't find it surprising at all that Hillary supporters find it acceptable to treat victims of sexual assault crimes like Hillary does and still hold Bill in high esteem.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvoRcPXURwg

I didn't have a problem with Trump talking about making moves on a woman. Men do that, I know. What I noticed was his statement that as a star, he could do anything he wanted to women. That demonstrated complete contempt for womankind.  The man is a turd.

And your thoughts on Hillary and Hillary's closest advisor Huma (married to Anthony Weiner who texts nude pictures of himself to 15 year old girls?) continually condoning (If they didn't condone, wouldn't they divorce?) the actions of their husbands?

    2. Marisa Wright profile image86
Marisa Wrightposted 7 years agoin reply to this

I think they are foolish women.  But which is worse? Condoning a behavior or actually DOING the behavior?   Trump is guilty of doing it, that's worse.

Ok, so hilary is less worse than the "Donald"
But, I thought it was a tape, not an action. Could be wrong.
But, I'm a deplorable - white, racist, treat women badly and uneducated.
      I'll try and do better........

It looks like just another smear tactic and distraction from Clinton's own scandals. Remember, they've already leaked nude pictures of his wife, and now it is 10+ year old lewd statements ... while Wikileaks revelations of:
    * Clinton's receipt of bribes via Clinton Foundation donations and excessive speech fees for Bill
    * after accepting bribes, taking nations off human rights watch lists that limited trade or giving permission for trade deals
    * Hillary's years long health problems, demonstrated for all by passing out 9-11-16 at a planned event and then issuing conflicting lies on a daily basis as to WHY she passed out (likely Parkinsons or another neurological condition)
    * Her campaign coordinating with Soros funded political action groups despite laws against this
    * the Clinton foundation giving less than 5% to actual relief efforts, but did build a factory in Haiti for a major donor
    * stealing the Democratic primary from Sanders

How can it be a smear tactic when it's an actual video of Trump admitting to abusing women?  Trump says that because he's a star, he's entitled to walk up to you, start kissing you and grab you by the p*ssy.  Is that the man you want as president?

This sex tape is a distraction from the latest Wikileaks indictment of Clinton kowtowing to Wall Street and illegal collusion between her campaign and Soros' PACs.

Things I have noticed the past few days... I did watch a tad more tv than usual because of the hurricane, anyways:

FoxNews proved to be the perfect Mark Anthony to Trump's Campaign, while they may have propped him up and defended him, now that it is crunch time they are doing better than any network out there to plant doubt in the minds of voters.

This was perfect, mass media control of the voters, from the outset... set Trump up for the fall, and ensure a practically unelectable candidate under any other circumstances (Clinton) gets elected.

Everyone knew Trump had skeletons like this in his closet, and instead of dumping them out during the Republican primaries they sat on them, waiting for the time to be perfect... some 30 days out to help Hillary get over the top.

I watched O'Reilly spend most of his show the other night tearing into Trump over taxes... while glossing over (briefly) the latest info on Hillary's emails and the White House doing a blanket cover-up with the media.

And then I caught a bit of Kelly's Trump trashing cast the night after the recent Trump video/comments got released.

And it will just keep coming...  total destruction by the media, Foxnews to MSNBC... Times to Post... of Trump from now until voting day, while giving Clinton a pass from here on out, on anything that comes out, be it from WikiLeaks or spycam it won't get any traction.

That way, when the Electoral College hands this to Clinton in a land slide, there is no huge wave of revolt or unrest... the angry voters will have backed a disgraced 'champion'... and Washington will continue to march America on the same path we have been on for a long long time now, regardless of what Party or President was in charge.
