In the run up to US Election2016, Robert's Rules of Order for Debate are decaying from many

requirements, but noticeably "43. Decorum in Debate. In debate a member must confine himself to the question before the assembly, and avoid personalities." Has televised election candidate debating become another type of vulgar "reality show"? Do you like it?

And some of the candidates want to win too badly imo. Some sort of secondary gain I can't pinpoint. Probly the usual - power and $$$.

Thanks very much for sharing your views! -- Name calling is particularly weak imo. I am tired of hearing verbal attacks, certainly.

Thanks for that YouTube link. I need to watch that. We used Robert's in college debates, but today it all seems reality-showy.
