CJ Kelly says
We shouldn't be interfering in the "elections" in ANY country. England was upset with Obama because he tried to sway the vote on BREXIT.
Greg, it's not "interfering" to foster democracy in other countries. That aids our position in the world economically as well as militarily. Ignoring abuses abroad is just as bad ignoring them here. Crass isolationism gets us nowhere.
It doesn't aid a darn thing when we interfere anywhere that we aren't wanted. Do you think it helps if Russia is really interfering with our DEMOCRACY?
Greg, supporting dissidents in a totalitarian regime (i.e. Reagan) and hacking into a nation's election system using your intelligence services (Russia) are two totally different issues. One betters your position in the world, the other is a crime.
Either way can make enemies. Why was England mad at Obama for interfering? Do you know that?
Its called minding our own damned business, we have no right injecting ourselves into Russian politics. Putin puts Russia first, that is admirable, I wish our leaders did that for America, lately from Trade agreements to Iran deals, they do not.
You hit it exactly Ken.
