The problem is that the average person no longer has any way to hide his money and keep it out of reach of the corrupt officials in his own country.
BTW, the United States is one of the most corrupt countries in the world. The U.S. is one of the biggest violators of the AVERAGE person's right of personal and financial privacy and ability to safeguard and transfer funds.
Switzerland and other countries, at one time, were places where even average people could stash some funds (or precious metals). Now only the super wealthy and politicians can do that,
The problem is not the Swiss banks, it is that the average person doesn't have access to them.
