Fernando Silva, the Nicaraguan author, has made some comments saying that Managua's first ethnic groups were formed by Maya. Our History books say that the Maya only went south to Honduras, in what is now Copán or Oxwi'itik, in the Maya language. But, our History books are being changed every day. New discoveries and new sites are open every day in México. Guatemala is making some incredible discoveries also. It wouldn't surprise me that some tribes from the Maya Civilization, went further south. However, he is basing his findings in the language. He says that Náhuatl, Mangue and Maya are the basis of Nicaragua. I am not sure about that.
